Well some guy came forward, claimed he might be a possible father, and wanted DNA tests done, but as far as I know, nothing came of it and the tests were not done.
If somebody claiming to be a bio-dad demanding testing, wouldn't judge order it done?

An interview shortly after the Octo gave birth to the famous 8, her neighbor from the old house who asked to remain anonymous...

“She is single. She used a sperm donor, someone she knew a long time ago. I don’t think the sperm donor knows about these eight kids. He was not involved. As to whether the mother herself works, the neighbor says: "She's a professional student and I want to know where the money's coming from to do this. Maybe she's using her student loans to do it."

The parents are very supportive; they actually bought this house for her, and they had to move in with her. The parents lost their house supporting their daughter. The family is very private: "They stick to themselves and you can always hear the grandma yelling at the kids because they are so rambunctious." and now her father has to go back to Iraq to earn more money to support her. Her father either works as a truck driver or an interpreter [in Iraq]."

Although many think the birth of the octuplets is a happy miracle, the neighbor disagrees. "We should find out who the doctor is and where the money came from because this is irresponsible. The girl seemed a little off -- and I don't want to be paying for her kids."

I would assume he'd need to get an attorney & take her to court.
I'd assume he'd also need money for the actual DNA tests; so it would be times 14. Tests run anywhere from $200 - $700 last time I looked. The most expensive being legal in court because of the way the sample is collected.

I'm a wondering if they threw him out there as a decoy to get peeps off the real dad's tail feathers or the "donor" sperm idea. So many people were so up in arms about her and her inability to view this situation realistically.

Again the "Donor Sperm" in her record is bugging me, if she was providing the sperm wouldn't the record reflect this? Donor sperm like donor eggs usually come from another source....

Wouldn't someone have come forward to offer to help him with the legalities? It appears he made the circuit for a couple days not the 2 mos I thought I saw and the disappeared in a puff of smoke...

How does one falsify a birth certificate? Don't they ask for ID for proof? Or can anyone walk into a hospital and sign their name and be the 'father'? (Sorry, I'm pretty dense sometimes.)

From the way this story has played out, it sounds like a story from a Dr Frankenstein book. The children are all a bunch of innocents but I'm not too sure about the adults. (JMO!)

I think your evaluation of the circumstances nailed it. I've been going over somethings we heard early on; GMa & Gpa said she went to a new doc after Dr K agreed not to inseminate her again. Her parents think or thought she had dated Octodad. I'm not so sure. Gma said he loved OM and wanted to marry her.

We can be dense together... I have no idea how they falsify a birth certificate unless it is just by writing his name on the certificate. It says right on it that you are swearing you are putting correct information. In CA certificates have both names, but only one signature. The interesting thing is her doctors would have know too and s/he signed them too...

"Back in the day" (in CA) if a woman was married - her husband was the father. Period. Unless another man stepped forward with proof the kid could be his, even with a new daddy in the picture, the husband may not have been off the hook for child support, if the child had developed a relationship with him - he was possibly stuck paying support because by acting like a father to the child, gave the child the presumption he was the father. I know it sounds coo-coo. Visitation I understood, child support I did not.

I had a friend who was single and living with me during her pregnancy - she wasn't going to put the father's name on the BC - but the charge nurse bullied her into it while I was out running errands - when I got back - I bullied the charge nurse right back - until they gave her a new certificate to fill out. The guy had bailed as soon as she said "oops", back before we all had computers it was much easier to fly under the radar and the hospital didn't ask for proof that was his name. They just wanted their paper work done. So IDK how that works...

I would think a woman could easily put down any man's name or any man can walk in and say I am David Solomon. Most hospitals will tell you, we aren't the police it isn't our job to check ID. (Except for your insurance card -but I'm so sure that is more important than any ol' fathers name on a BC) It would be interesting to know who signed the BC if it isn't her....

The birthday photo is really a good picture as all the babies appear alert and are good sized. They look healthy. (That super high chair thing they're sitting in is really awesome! I can't imagine needing one, it's just pretty neato.)

Looking at all the babies, I think two of the boys (the blonder/strawberry boy and one of the ones wearing a hat on the right) look similar to one another, IMO. The one little girl looks like she's quite fair and may be blonder/strawberry hair colored and the other little girl looks a lot darker skinned than all of them. It could be my eyes- they're not so good. I'm not sure I can see much of Nadya in any of them. I wonder if they resemble her baby photos or if they resemble the photos of the older children when they were small?

(Where are the older children? I haven't seen a photo of them in a while.)

As far as birth certificates are concerned, I would have thought that recording the births would be taken quite seriously (it is in Michigan). I know one woman who wasn't able to sign the space for the father because he had passed away before the birth (and that was back in the 80's). I couldn't sign for my husband on any of the certificates. One unmarried woman I know had to leave the space blank until the DNA testing came back and the father was legally identified. I guess it's good to know my home state is progressive in some areas.

JJenny When twins are born, if there is one placenta docs know the baby's are Mono-zygote. If there are separate placenta's it is not uncommon for a dna test to be done to determine if the babies are fraternal or identical. It has nothing to do with her being the mother. Although with the tests already done it would be possible for a man to be ruled out as a match. (as it would also be possible to rule her out as a match.

I admit to being nosy; I'd still like to see it!! (whether it exists or not)


I had seen it posted on another site with a source and had checked their source, this is what it said at the time:

The test was done at KP shortly after birth it (what was posted) revealed that none of the 8 babies were were identical twins. She had used at least 8 embryo's.

What I know is that DNA tests cost money & the state of California is not going to run DNA tests on any of her kids. I know someone that has identical grand daughters - she said they paid to have their own DNA test done to make sure the girls were identical

Thinking back to my own 2 kids.. they ask the name of the father & add it.
My hub did not have to show proof he was the father

OMG we had the cable repair guy here yesterday. He turned on the set to Octo! She was running here and there in the house, Jonah still had a clef lip and needed to go to the ER - (it took a bunch of calls to find someone to take him while she stayed home) for what I couldn't hear - I had to turn off the volume the repair guy kept stopping to watch her too!! One of the toddlers got lost (while playing in the house) with a camera crew there!

Her help quits without notice and shows up late...

Hmm, now she looks like someone who only gets 2 hours sleep a night!

She had 6 inch (OK 3 inch) eyelashes no other makeup and big black rings (looked like old make up) around her eyes! Her lips look like another part of most peeps anatomy..

These children are fed like little animals - cut something up and toss it on a tray - or Octo sitting in the ball box with a dish spooning in food (sure she does that) there was food everywhere like the walls of moms old house and it is the norm!! No more cute little boxes of frozen homemade baby food!!

For the big kids it was open a can and dump it out.

There are a ridiculous number of toys everywhere no one playing with them just walking and tripping over them...

In the footage, chaos reigns as Clarysa (sp sorry) stomps on Noah in his crib over and over til NOT A MOM comes in and says "not OK not OK time out" ummm and walks away! with a screaming Noah.

Next she is in threatening Elijah telling him that the police will come and child protective services will take him away if he doesn't get up and go to school!!

This should be a crime!! Those poor, poor kids. Someone needs to get those kids outta there!

July 14 2010 - The California Medical Board vs Dr Michael Kamrava (again)

The California Medical Board filed a lawsuit against Dr. Michael Kamrava this week for implanting seven embryos in a 48-year-old woman, which the board said put her at "great risk." (Not to mention the risk to her unborn babies)

The woman referred to as L.C. - had 3 adult children prior to Dr K's treatment - Out of 7 embryo's 4 developed into fetuses - one of the four died in utero. Once again, Kamrava failed to refer to a mental health specialist before or after treatment - The woman and her family, it said, should have received "appropriate counseling from an expert to help them deal with this unique situation."

According to the medical board's complaint, Dr. Kamrava demonstrated "gross negligence," and his actions led to "catastrophic results." It said such a high number of embryos "transferred to L.C. should not have been transferred into any woman, regardless of age."

The complaint states:The board accuses the doctor of providing "IVF treatment without consideration regarding potential harm to [the patient's] future children." It includes other cases, highlighting a woman who discovered she had ovarian cancer after becoming pregnant.According to the board, Dr. Kamrava did not test the woman before treatment. The complaint also mentions a similar lawsuit filed by the board in January 2008 against Dr. Kamrava regarding the care of NS and the 14 children conceived by treatment in his care.

The board recommends that the doctor's license be revoked or suspended.

(This makes it sound all the more likely Kamrava would have had no trouble implanting 11 or more into NS.)

Jonah had an ear infection and that was the reason he had to go to the ER.It looked like he was just plopped in the floor in the carrier when he returned;no one picked him up or comforted him.
I suspect she won't get his lip repaired unless CPS can intervene and make her get it done.and you have to be very careful w those so as to not let infection set in.I question if he would get enough attention from anyone to get proper post-surgical care.with a cleft lip,the scar can be made almost invisible nowadays,if it recieves close attention while healing.still,just to get it done at all would be great for him,even if he does end up w a scar.
I SO wish CPS could or would DO something for these kids,ALL of them!! she is going to be lucky to end up with any help at all.

BBM (Thanks for the info) I wonder if Jonah has some health issues that a surgery (anesthesia) for a non life threatening defect is too risky still? He was the last to go home IIRC - the cleft is not severe, although it would have made it more difficult for him to suckle, when all he was getting was a bottle, due to poor suction - meaning he would have lost more (in leaking around the bottle) and may have spit up more due to sucking in too much air. (also more prone to ear infections from all the spitting up and mucus) probably a more mucus-ee baby.

Any time there is a defect such a cleft lip there is an increase risk for other defects - doesn't mean he has any, just the risk factor..

The sad thing is doing the repair in infancy almost guarantees no scars - of course if he gas his mothers elastic skin he won't have a scar anyway I wonder if she thinks it will heal on it's own being rubbery and all...

??? Why a trip to the ER for an earache/infection? It was a week day, wouldn't a quick trip to the pediatricians office made more sense? Less trauma for little Jonah? Of course more d.r.a.m.a. for Octo... On the other hand I didn't actually see him going to the ER...

There was very little focusing in on any of the babies, (well more so when Callyssa (SP) was jumping on Noah's head) - poor little guy. They seemed to hang onto the chaos - absolutely insane!!

I only saw a bit of it - but sure cracked me up, that the cable guy was so into it! (No wonder he was late, prolly drove over during the commercial!) My 86 yr old dad (who is 95% or so blind in both eyes - he sees out lines and shadows) came in and wanted that "craziness" off his TV!! I guess he didn't see that the cable guy and I were into it!!

Is it just me or does it seem the babies don't have much interaction or interest in interacting with he adults or even older sibs? So sad.

Our country is failing our children - years ago family would have stepped in to help - now there are no family members around... When we know there is a huge risk, the state or fed government should be doing something and in many cases the gparents are no better than the kids - so parenting classes aren't going to help much (like the mom & gmom who drove over state line to go shopping - left a toddler and 8ish yr old at Chuck E Cheese) or 4 yr old Emma Thompson with an STI, the list goes on...

I missed octo-gma's latest, did she put her head down a little and smile shyly when c/o about wanting to see her sister, but no money? Tell her sis to come here and help out octo she'll appreciate whatever she can get (short of her mom evidently). Entitlement didn't fall far from that tree!! A hearing date has been scheduled for October 18 - 29, 2010 for Octomom doctor Michael Kamrava to explain to the California Attorney General what he was thinking when he facilitated Nadya Suleman’s pregnancies.

Dr. Kamrava is accused of gross negligence, repeated negligent acts and of keeping inadequate records. The California AG also charges that the doctor transferred “a number of blastocyst embryos far in excess of American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) recommendations and beyond the reasonable judgment of any treating physician.”

The complaint also alleges that Kamrava retrieved too many oocytes, or egg cells, from Suleman when frozen embryos were available and that he planted far too many embryos during her final pregnancy.

I too would love to hear that egg count - not the ones from her Easter Basket - (sorry SD!) The biggest telltale to me looking at those babies, is they look so very different from 1-6 who all look so similar. If there was any egg swapping going on, she was completely aware - otherwise she would be asking for DNA testing too! At least IMHO.

hi all, i never followed this thread because the media was so so saturated with the octo-person so much so that i want to hide from all the info coming out about her - anyhoo... have any of our verified psyc. professional members chimed in on octoperson? i would love to hear their hypothetical's and hunches regarding her mental stability/instability and disorders....cause in my laypersons expertise.....she is whacked with a CAPITAL W! now i need to go back and read the thread because i didnt know there was a trial for the that implanted her with in my opinion, a criminal amount of eggs.... considering she has no means of supporting them financially and would/is dependent on the state, couldnt that be interpreted as something criminal? sometimes STUPID should be a chargeable offense :/

I'm not a verified expert, but in my early career in social work, I worked with teenage girls in a residential setting who were mostly borderline personality disordered. The things I could say......but won't.

I did see Nadya recently on an Oprah show that apparently was filmed in 2010. She did make a number of remarks that seemed to indicate she has considerable insight now on factors within herself that led her to make the choices she did. Its significant that she is now looking within, rather than outside herself with indignant blame. I would guess that she has had counselling and is processing it well, which is admirable, or is reading some good books on the subject, which is also admirable.

Although her earlier behaviors were irritating enough to me to raise my blood pressure, and I still find her parenting style sub-standard (as shown from an Oprah camera crew following a 24-hour period), I give her credit for being able to admit, to herself AND to the public at large, that her choices were made from a messed-up emotional/mental state.

I hope some of our "verified" folks will weigh in on borderline personality disorder, as I am not and have never been licensed to diagnose; I only worked in the therapeutic end.

I will say that it is rare for such a person to accept their diagnosis and look within for the changes that need to happen. I congratulate Nadya for her introspection and public admissions. I also feel that her physician, a person of authority, took advantage of her hmm...shall we just say "impairment", which is all too common for many people with mental/emotional issues. That is a HUGE no-no for anyone in a professional position of authority. I personally think she could have a good case against him, no matter HOW insistent she might have been to get all those eggs implanted.

Hi NN! Welcome to Octo-land! I hear you, this thread has been quiet for awhile - until the cable guy put her up on my dad's big screen TV.

We've been waiting, since the CA Med Board said they were going after him, right after she birthed the litter - sized, head count of precious babies. To see they are bringing him up on other charges and seeing the original charges have a court date, was twice as nice.

If stupid was a ticket-able offense Dr K could paper his whole Beverly Hills office! But hey Octo has found a marketable skill, shooting dolls out of her hoo-haa at college boys - I guess it keeps her in collagen - which keeps her off the streets.

(1) Narcissistic - either (2) Borderline Personality or (3) BiPolar, are some I remember hearing tossed around. My vote goes to (1) and (2). (1) being the no brainer and (2) causing delusional thinking, neediness, lies, the fear of abandonment issues and causing her to be very irritated or irate, when challenged.

Of course she could just be crazy like her mom claims. :crazy:

I will say that it is rare for such a person to accept their diagnosis and look within for the changes that need to happen. I congratulate Nadya for her introspection and public admissions. I also feel that her physician, a person of authority, took advantage of her hmm...shall we just say "impairment", which is all too common for many people with mental/emotional issues. That is a HUGE no-no for anyone in a professional position of authority. I personally think she could have a good case against him, no matter HOW insistent she might have been to get all those eggs implanted.

Hi and thanks - I'm curious if you think she was being honest or just saying what she thinks people want to hear? (I did not hear what she said on the part of the show I watched). She was supposedly 3 semesters shy of her masters with some sort of psych degree - which makes me think she can possibly be a BS'er to the Nth degree, when she want to.

What I did hear was her threatening her son with the Police or CPS if he would not get out of bed for school. Which is kinda a common thing at times for kids that age, although from other reports it is a serious problem with that particular child. Are threats of the cops or CPS which I don't see her following thru on - the way to handle that? I'm asking honestly (no tongue in cheek here).
