Woman Gives Birth To Octuplets II

Nadya worked at a mental home? :waitasec:

Would that be considered 'irony'?

I could be wrong but I think that's where her workman's comp situation originated. She was injured on the job and I can't remember if it was because the patients had gotten 'out of hand' or if it was just an accident (like a slip and fall type thing). I think she got a settlement as a result of the injury.

She's definately learned how to milk the system, IMO.

I watched. I've seen The View a few times, but I had never seen any footage over a few seconds long of Octomom before. I must say, I actually felt sorry for her. There's a definite vacancy upstairs. She should never have been implanted once.

Sorry for her? Really? The woman has 14 children. That's who I feel sorry for.

Nadya Suleman Planned Pregnancy with Octuplets for Publicity, Rep Reveals

Former publicist says she was implanted with 11 embryos, not 6

Shortly after giving birth to octuplets a year ago, Nadya Suleman fell out of favor with the media and the public (mostly US taxpayers) for already having six other children under 8 at home and living off government assistance. Later on, it emerged that she had 6 embryos implanted, which is too risky a procedure for any specialist to do. Now, her former publicist is spilling the beans on how Suleman actually asked for 11 embryos, as her pregnancy was part of a bigger scheme.

OctoMom’s motive in getting pregnant with so many babies had nothing to do with her love for children and the so-called emptiness she feels and of which she believes it can only be filled with many kids, Victor Munoz is saying for National Enquirer. Since he worked for her at the time, he knows for a fact that Suleman had everything planned out: from how to get pregnant to how she would later capitalize on her “extraordinary” feat. The latter included book and television deals, not to mention media exclusives.

The problem is, Munoz says, Suleman freaked out when word got out in the press she had been implanted with 6 embryos, for which reason she had all the papers of the procedure destroyed. She couldn’t afford to have her image ruined, the former publicist explains, because that would have cost her the many deals she had signed even before she knew she was expecting. Useless to say, if any of this is even remotely accurate, it paints a very harsh picture of Suleman as a cold, calculated and ultimately selfish woman – and, most importantly, mother.

“She was very upset and nervous,” Munoz says of how Suleman reacted when rumors of the procedure she had undertaken started to circulate. “She told me, ‘You’ve got to take me over to Dr. Kamrava’s so we can get rid of the paperwork on the octuplets. We’re in enough trouble over the news that he did six transfers at once. If it comes out that I actually had 11, it will destroy my image. Nadya was particularly worried that Dr. Kamrava had her sign a waiver acknowledging it was dangerous to implant that many embryos at one time. She didn’t want it to be revealed that she had deliberately put herself through a very dangerous procedure,” the former publicist adds.

That was in February 2009, shortly after she’d given birth. Later on, she called Munoz back to tell him she had taken care of everything. “I got the doctor’s nurse to shred the records. That evidence is gone. Nadya’s plan was always to make money out of her amazing pregnancy. So she was terrified that people would find out the crazy risk she took just to become famous,” the rep adds for the same publication.

I think this is the most disturbing thing I've ever read. If the state does not revoke the doctor's license for ever I will eat my toilet, we can all have a big toilet eating party.

Everything she has ever said has been proven a lie. She is a sick woman.

Ain't that the truth! :banghead:

Yeah, she was a tech in the mental hospital a patient threw a desk or something and she was hit... The scary thing about her is she knows what to say and what not to say, but so far that hasn't worked to well for her. :bang:

I wonder how her Octo show went over in England, I've never heard a word!!

Prepare yourself, the following clip is eye popping, no pictures of Nutty tho....

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHNGTDPQZi4&feature=related[/ame]

Here's a good "quote":

"If someday far, far, far, far in the future, when they're older, if I meet somebody. ... I'm not going to say 100 per cent 'no,"' Suleman said when asked if she planned to have more children. "I'm not going to say someday far in the future (I will) get married and want a baby with that person."

IMO this is Nuty working on her badly damaged image. She probably thinks people were most upset with her being single vs the reality most people were most shocked by what she had done. IMO single mothers are a dime a dozen, (that's not a put down, I was one for several years) It's the trying to make herself famous by risking 8 new lives not to mention her own... :furious:

greatest mom??? I don't think so... Do any of those people look happy?? Gpa looks like he might :puke: I feel so bad for the 3 youngest (prior to the octs) he77 I feel horrible for all of them.

the video clip of Nariyah was shot in June, 5 mos minus the early birth 2.5 mos, possibly normal at 2.5 mos especially in a HOM birth lack of one on one time - but the way she held the baby up and commented on her size, she could have been holding a roast she was fixing for dinner. Nothing loving or maternal there :(

I hate the way she always holds them facing out, never snuggled against her.

http://www.usmagazine.com/momsbabies/photos/octo-babies-first-birthday-2010251/6515

The Christmas picture part 9, she is holding the boy on her left hip, always the big one and on her right barely keeping a grip on her baby girl. But look at the the baby in the blue Bimpo, front far L of photo with those blue eyes, and the baby in the green bimpo on 3rd from our (R) again nothing like her or her other kids. Can you imagine the shock and appall if you happened to see her pictures and see a baby that looks just like yours, knowing you went to the same doctor?

When I did the research earlier on infertility most doctors won't hypersyimulate more than a couple times, some will only do it once for fear of "inferior egg quality" and she did it what 10 times or so???

What is she waiting for Cleft Lip Repair::waitasec:

Within the first 2–3 months after birth, surgery is performed to close the cleft lip. While surgery to repair a cleft lip can be performed soon after birth, the often preferred age is at approximately 10 weeks of age, following the "rule of 10s" coined by surgeons Wilhelmmesen and Musgrave in 1969 (the child is at least 10 weeks of age; weighs at least 10 pounds, and has at least 10g hemoglobin).

OR

Cleft lip repair can be initiated at any age, but optimal results occur when the first operation is performed between two and six months of age. Surgery is usually scheduled during the third month of life.

Facial cleft has been implicated with maternal exposure to environmental causes, such as rubella or medications that can harm the developing embryo. These medications include steroids, antiseizure drugs, vitamin A, and oral anti-acne medications (such as Acutane) taken during the first three months of pregnancy. Cleft lip is also associated with fetal alcohol syndrome and maternal diabetes.

Cleft lip occurs more commonly in males, while cleft palate is more likely to occur in females.
Most cases of cleft lip have no known cause. However, there is a strong genetic correlation.

Cleft lip is the second most common embryonic (congenital) deformity.

Approximately 5% of cleft conditions are associated with a genetic syndrome
.

It sounds like it is similar to Spina Bifida in that there are known causes but most babies are born to mothers without any risk factors.

I see her thinking about retail therapy to help recover from this photo shoot
sad, sad kids...

I kind-a get the feeling a more subdued Nuttya is a direct result of her "lack of popularity" vs her reality of having 14 kids. There is no reality for her the remark about having another baby in the future is proof of that (as if we needed more.)

SD The sad part of that hysterical Jimmy Kimmel tape was how he had all the kids names right something we have never seen OM do for her :innocent: Angels

So what is the law? Would this guy be able to get the DNA tests if he goes to court and asks for it?

This is an old clip, I think he just went away...

Does one of Octomom's kids have a cleft lip? I must have missed that.

Yes, Octomom said it on the View. This woman is so different from what I thought I had learned of her. Now I see why Gloria A. was all over her when the babies were coming home. I am glad Gloria was not allowed to stay however I think she was concerned about the babies welfare. I think something is missing between Octomom's ears.

Lcoastmom,thanks for all the info!

Yes,it's baby Jonah who has the cleft lip, which she has not,(as of the latest photos), had repaired ,although he is now over 1 YO,and would meet the criteria to do so (as posted by Lcoastmom).

Nariyah still has the spacey look to her in the one yr photo of her though (in US mag)...like she still can't focus properly.I wonder if she needs glasses,(as many preemies sometimes do),and Nadya has neglected to get them for her.

Something else I noticed, there are only 13 kids in the 1st bday pic of them (the in Lcoastmom's post),and I noticed last Mother's day,in the US mag pic of them, again, there were only 13 kids present, with no mention anyone missing or why that child was not present.

I wonder if CPS can do anything to make her get the cleft lip repair done??She certainly doesn't mind inflating her own lips, yet neglects Jonah's needed lip repair.

Sorry for snipping your post.

Lcoastmom always gives us something to think about AND she uses great smileycons too!

Your question about CPS doing something/anything to make Nadya have the clept lip repair done/started, really struck a nerve with me. Is it considered 'neglect' if she hasn't properly addressed the issue? (I have a differently-abled son and would have walked hot coals to address his issues and if I could have 'fixed them', I'd have jumped off the moon and 21 years later, I still would.) I realize my perception is different because I've walked in different shoes but I would hope that with all of us watching Nadya, she hasn't intentionally overlooked real medical issues with her babies?

It's so weird, I don't like her (from what I've seen/read) but for whatever reason I want her to do right by her children. We have enough lost/abused children in this world and certainly don't need 14 more left to fall through the cracks.

Sorry you all, I'm just ranting. :blushing:

Regarding that Santa picture, were we supposed to think she looks sexy? Cause I don't.

  • #833
sry, that was the Star mag where I ref. to the pic of Nariyah, not US mag.

Boyzmom,(n/p on the post snipping,I do that all the time :) ) ..I don't know, I would think it would be a form of neglect? and maybe if it came down to where they had reason enough to take the kids away from her, that would be further proof she was not properly caring for them by addressing their medical needs.
I do wonder if she is even getting them their well-baby check-ups and such.she puts such very limited info out there about them.

I do want to see her do right by them as well...they were brought into the world for all the wrong reasons, and they do deserve love and proper care.

to me that just makes what her former publicist said about her appear all the more true..that she did it just to become famous.'it's all about her'.you can see that from looking at the pics...she's the 'star', the center of attention, with the other children just the surrounding 'ornaments' for her.
same with the bikini pics...the tups one yr milestone was *not about them..it was all about HER!

I'm not sure if this is reassuring or disgusting. Reassuring that some of the children's needs are being met - disgusted by it being by paid caregivers. The joke about Maliyah not knowing the crazy lady who is holding her, not a joke. The following is all snipped from an article she did in Daily Mail, there were lies again about the 6 embryos and didn't she say she last spoke to the dad after the birth? This story claimed it was prior - telling him 7 were coming and he hung up on her.

Well - we know at least part of that has been debunked as a lie, she may have had 1 donor for 1 - 6, but since we know she used fresh eggs for the octs she got fresh sperm from someone. (and some imported eggs too. MOO)

It is a long interview, this is all just snippets, but arranged as close as possible to tell the story of her day. I really don't see how she can try to make it sound like she cares (physically) for her children - her story to this reporter tells it differently. When she tells about the things she does she says I the jobs done by the staff says we Anyone one surprised she spends most of her time doing everything but caring for her kids?

JMO8778 - You caught something again, that I missed the Bday(?) and Moms Day picture, 13 kids. I haven't seen the BDay shoot yet. But the Moms day I think Elijah is missing. In the photo with the babies sitting in the octo table, in this article - One of the boys is hiding his face against a baby and the other is sitting back, giving Octo the stink eye.

From the article:
Her jet-black hair is blowdried to perfection and her nails are coated in a flawless French manicure. Her make-up is immaculate Throughout our two hours together, she becomes most animated when I compliment her on her figure. 'Oh thank you, I think it is most important to stay strong and healthy, for my own sake and my children's. She manages to fit a two-hoursaday workout into her routine.

The day staff arrive at 6am and they feed the babies and we get the older kids ready for school and then I take the kids to school. Most mornings, I will either come back and spend time with the babies or take myself off to a local library to write my book.' After feeding time, the babies are laid down (again by their nannies) in eight cribs in a blue-painted nursery off the kitchen.

This whole house is like a giant playroom. I try to keep it neat and tidy, but it's hard sometimes One of the helpers prepares food in the kitchen while another does housework upstairs. As each child is fed their bottle and quietens down, Nadya fusses and talks to them. She opens one of two industrial-size fridges in the kitchen and shows me scores of carefully labelled plastic containers with various pureed baby food. 'We make all the baby food here - we puree chicken and vegetables.'

It feels like a baby production line. I am left alone in the nursery with one of the nannies, who tells me: 'We have to work to a schedule. Sometimes Miss Nadya doesn't realize that. She's a good lady but she has no idea.' Nadya admits to getting confused between her brood. 'When you have all the babies going crazy, it's hard to tell one from the other. With the older ones it's "Hey you" or "Whateveryour-name-is."'

As I have been saying all along - she still can't tell them apart. There's 14! not 40, a teacher who didn't have the kids names down by the end of the first week would be criticized, these are her kids, she picked their names.... WTH!!

'In the afternoon we go to the park with the octuplets and then the older kids come back from school and it's feeding and bathing and all the madness of getting everyone ready for bed,' she says. A woman who comes at 6pm to help with bathing and bedtime and a night nurse who stays with the octuplets in their downstairs nursery while Nadya and the older children sleep upstairs.

She admits Elijah suffers from such jealousy and anxiety over the octuplets that, aged eight, he still insists on sleeping in her bed at night. I don't normally sit down until 10pm. Then I will write or, normally, go to the gym for a couple of hours.'

'When I came home, I thought people would love me,' she says. 'But I was getting hate mail and death threats. I just cried and cried.'

Did she ever feel concerned about bringing so many babies into the world without a father? 'Looking back, I admit I made immature decisions. I wanted children to fill a hole in me. Perhaps it was selfish. Some people get addicted to drugs. I got addicted to having babies.'

So next we will hear it was an illness? She is an addict - therefore not her fault at all....

LOL You (under normal circumstances) would assume that 8 would have left that (w)hole out of commission for this lifetime!

I LOVE YOUR AVI!! My dh and dd sat here watching the last game together screaming all crazy when the USA tied the score. Sudden death is always a scary place to be. One lucky shot or one missed shot, end the game. Or one well placed perfectly executed... but that is the exception to the rule... MOO

SD I love your sigi shots, it kills me seeing those beautiful animals act more lovingly than we know OM to behave... She as much as admitted in that interview she doesn't take care of those babies. Ever! It is as I said when we first saw the pix of her in the hospital fluttering from babe to babe, like a revered Madonna. She doesn't mother them, she wants to be worshipped by them for all she has done "for them" She thought she was going to be loved by all for what she did and she still doesn't get it!

Every time she speaks about the way she felt growing up, she sticks her foot a little further down her throat. Her mother said to her in an interview she wouldn't have another child just because Octo wanted a sibling - there was never any remark about not wanting her, but this interview switched to her mother never wanting any child. BS BS BS...

She felt powerless to control her situation as a child, who doesn't??? That's the way it works, you are a child mommy/daddy takes care of you.. (ideally)

Well here we go, finally two comments about how the show was taken by the Brits. Maybe she'll move there next, she has two fans:

I watched her documentary and whilst I originally thought from all the newspaper reports that she was ridiculous for taking on such a task - I actually liked the lady and came out with the view that she was a good hardworking mother who would do her best for her children. I don't envy her, even though I am unable to have children, but I believe she wants what is best for them and should be left to get on and do that. Those that protest outside her home or send death threats to her PR company have more of a problem than she does. Good luck to her. ME UK, 15/1/2010 12:15

I definitely agree; she was surprisingly candid in that documentary, Angelina Jolie adopts children, takes them away from their home country and is photographed now and then out in public with them - I would bet any money they sit at home with the nanny mostly, so why shouldn't Suleman use the money from her children to provide for them, at least she is their primary carer, unlike some. Me too...

No she is just the one who smiles for the camera while others work hard taking care of the brood. Ok I feel better those are her only 2 fans, looking back at prior articles most people see her for what she is!

Octo and Casey A are neck and neck for worst mother of the 21st century. KC killed precious Caylee, Octo knew and took a horrible chance with 8 little lives...

Octomom Nadya Suleman and her 14 kids may become homeless ... because she's fallen behind on mortgage payments to the tune of more than $450,000 ... this according to the person who holds the note on the property.

Didn't she previously admit that she earned one million dollars from the Radaronline, documentary and other interviews and photos? I can't imagine that she could have blown all of that money yet.

This doesn't surprise me. I've always wondered how she paid her bills in the first place. Doesn't that take a paycheck? And how she fed and clothed her kids. I know that she gets assistance, but 14 kids is a lot to provide for.
