I don't think they want to pay it....they stopped making payments at the exact time Nadya became pregnant with the octos so I'm sure they assumed they would be given a new one or given enough money to buy one. The house they are in is obviously trashed....so they are better off to just let it go to repo than to pay it off and try to sell a broken down, filthy house.

Great insight! (The photos of the home look like no one has even bothered unpacking or making it home-like.) I don't think anyone really believed that they'd have to wait this long for their big payday... JMO.

I'd rather the children have some issues about attachment than them being left to the care of the mother / grandmother without knowing anything behind closed doors. And I'm thinking the Angels with Wings would make sure they have the same few nurses on rotation more due to their high medical needs. I think the organization will make sure they have the same staff members for these babies due to the high needs. :blowkiss:

Oh, I totally agree, these babies MUST be cared for and this is the best idea anyone has come up with and far better than anything they will be able to arrange and afford on their own. I love the idea that there is no MONEY being provided through this plan, so that there is no way the aid will end up funding more in vitro or more plastic surgery. I only hope that part of the help will involve requiring Nadya to participate in the care of the children, and that she remain at home with only reasonable free time for her shopping trips and manicures.

$149 - saw it on an end cap yesterday!!

While I have possession of the soap box - gran could have paid her mortgage with the $40.000 she got from giving interviews. Grrrrr.
yes, seems they sure have their priorities mixed up.
as far as job talk,I doubt Nadya will ever go back to school or hold another job.i think she will figure out yet another way to milk this whole thing, possibly even if it means getting pregnant again.and yes I do mean it,she seems to be pregnancy-addicted,and it doesn't end just by having 14 kids.

I wonder about the attachment disorder. It seems she disconnects right after giving birth- she seemed to have no problem traipsing around town while her 6 kids were with Grandma, she had no problem going to school while the 6 kids were with Grandma or Nanny's (don't know if she really had a nanny)... Holding the octuplets for a few minutes each day doesn't totally cut it with me either. She could be doing more to prove her love to these children because all we see is her love for herself.

Something that bothers me also is, she's never with the 6 older children!!! When is she actually being a mother to them? When she's out shopping for make-up or whatever, why doesn't she have 1 or 2 of those kids with her?
Someone needs to explain to her that being a mother is more than giving birth, motherhood is actually caring for the child after, just like these guys who father baby after baby who then don't help to raise them yet proud they're a pappa grrrrrr

On a side note, maybe she could move down to Texas and join the FLDS, they do have huge homes and she would have all the other mothers there to help take care of the babies! Of course I'd never wish that on the innocent babies, they just deserve so much more than what this woman has given them :(

All these insightful comments on this thread. She does seem to like the idea of pregnancy better than the nitty gritty reality of motherhood. Reminds me of my sister who constantly adopted animals then refused to take care of them. So, do you think she will have more?

Oh and thanks to whoever posted that her real name is Natalie. She clearly doesn't like being who she is and keeps trying to change her outsides to fix her insides. Yeah, that always works.

"A California-based nonprofit called Angels in Waiting has offered Suleman round-the-clock care and a place to stay with her 14 children. It would cost about $135,000 a month to provide the 12 caretakers necessary for the children, money that would have to come from public donations, founder Linda West Conforti said in Los Angeles.
The organization has the trained nursing personnel and experience in caring for very sick children, she said. The group, however, could only provide care for a limited time without the donations, she said."

So they're offering to help--provided the public pays them for it. Sounds like everyone's looking for money and publicity from this.

By the way, you guys are so nice! After I posted about using cloth diapers I thought "man they are going to rip into me for even suggesting someone in this day and age not use disposables." I should have known better. This is such a nice peaceful place to visit.

"A nice place to visit," Gracenote? Sorry, you're no visitor. You live here with the rest of the Websleuth family now. And, you're right, it is a great place!
I'm wearing a cloth diaper right now. LOL!

Heads up: OctoGP will be on Oprah, Tuesday! Perez Hilton is saying that the GP slams Octomom, but turns around and asks for public help.

I've noticed within the last 10 years that new mothers are going more and more back to the basics of breast feeding and cloth diapering. And now, with the economy the way it is: it's the economical way to go and it reduces ones carbon footprint.

Can you imagine all of the disposable diapers this family will go through... talking about one huge carbon footprint... egads. It is time Octomom stopped getting in front of the camera and started preparing to take care of those babies if she ever gets to bring them home. Invest in a economical washer and stock up on cloth diapers. Of course, she won't find any glamorous moments when she's elbow deep in laundry, but she is the one that wanted the babies, so she better get use to it.

My question is.... WHERE Is that HUGE house that Nadya's father claimed they had. Remember hims saying they had a HUGE house and WE(the public) would never find it.? Ok so now she is looking to uy a 1.2 million dollar home, her mom is about to be foreclosed on. So WHY don;t they move to that HUGE home or SELL that huge home?

I assume Nadya would know if the kids were in the process of being removed from her care, no? Or does the CPS do everything quietly and then go take custody? I'm not sure how things work in the USA.

I have adopted children from foster care. I don;t know how other places do it but here in TN, if there is a cause of concern over the children;s welfare , or the emotional health of the main caregiver, then CPS will swoop in , take those children into their custody, then ask questions and have the parent(s) prove themselves later. CPS could very well already have a judge's change of custody order in place to remove these children from the hospital and place them in foster care before mom even gets tot he hospital. That is exactly what happened with our daughte. We got our baby the second she was released from hospital, the CPS was there to bring her to the foster care office, with a judge's order. The state had custody, and biomom never even got to hold our baby.

Seriously, I believe you're right about Nadya. Now I have to wonder if this "agency" (from JBean's post above) exists? Who or whom would be so fool hardy to strike a deal where they give someone 135K a month to take care of the kids and if they don't accept then they report her. (Who would be foolish enough to pass up such an offer?):waitasec:

ANgels in waiting is the group and Gloria Allred is their attorney. They want to offer this money but it will have to come from donations. However a poll says that 80% of the public do not like her and do not intend to donate. I still want to know about that HUGE house Mr Suleman says he owns. Remember the ones he said that we the public will never find. They need to live there or sell it and pay for all these bills octomom has left unpaid.

I would be more willing to donate my hard-earned $$ to Angels in Waiting to care for the babies then to have it go directly to Octo-Mom. Who knows what she will do with the donations and how much will actually go to care for the kids? At least with any $$ donated to Gloria Allred's group, Octo-Mom won't be able to touch it and the public will know for a fact it is just used for the babies and the other 6 kids. Sounds like a good idea to me -- and the "Angels" will be in the home and be able to observe how well Nadya is able to care for her children.

the gdad is just as big a liar as the rest of them,IMO.states his dd is a unqualified,incapable,etc...yet still says the public should donate to her....my q is...why should we????

the mortgage co. can still sue them for the balance bet. what the house sells for and the difference of what the loan was.going to foreclosure doesn't automatically just erase the outstanding balance, esp. IF the mortgage co. thinks there is a chance they can recoup.since Nadya was living in the house,I'm guessing it might could be considered community property (?) as far as she is concerned.I'm not sure about that.but if she has money,I'm not sure how off-limits it would be to the mortgage co.

that is good to hear, that is *really good to hear.I hope CA has the authority to do the same in this case.

as far as the mental part,it's obvious Nadya has some personality problems, but I'm not sure how much that would come into play(she does, after all, still have custody of the other 6 kids);it's not like she's psychotic..more like delusional..and she doesn't appear to have raging mood swings either,at least not within the public eye.I'm sure they'll be watching her closely.

The 1.5 million dollar house is said to be a rumor.
Dr.Phil interviewed her in it. It's up for sale and she looked through it with a realitor.

After selling photos to TMZ, a book deal, a reality show, tape of the birth, pictures of the kids, she will be able to hire help and get a big house. Pro life help, Angels in waiting help, donations and people's good will, Nayda will make it money wise.
BUT there is something VERY wrong with a woman that has 3 disabled children (getting SSI) out of 6, that would take the chance on 8 more preemies that could have many problems.
14 kids under the age of 7 is rediculous. No job, no husband, what was she thinking?Nayda is lucky that her health bounced back so good.
She has to need a tummy tuck after how much her skin stretched.
Did she hae health insurance? On children? welfare?
She is very selfish to have her retired parents working so hard.
Let's support the babies, who are innocent and not separate them.
Put the mother in a nut house til she gets normal again.
The doctor should have his license taken away. IMO

I heard a quick interview with the listing realtor. she said she didn't know anything about it but she would be happy to sell it to her.
