Woman With No Arms Sues McDonalds After being Denied Service For Using Feet

Hope you win the lawsuit Ms. Larson.

I don't.

I don't think it's McDonald's fault. She should have spoken to the manager and the employees should have been fired. End of story. It's not like they employ rocket scientists, what do you expect?

This reminds me of a story my American Sign Language professor told me. She is hard of hearing, basically deaf, but still speaks pretty well. She was at the drive up at Mc Donalds with a friend who was completely deaf. They bypassed the order talk box and went straight to the window and the deaf driver handed the employee a note with the order. They refused to take her order because she didn't "talk". She sued and got a HUGE settlement. Guess what? Now they take the note!:woohoo:

PS, by the way, my professor could have spoken the order, but on principle stayed quite.

IMO this probably is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act and she will be compensated. I think she should be.

No kidding. When I worked as a teller at a credit union, women would pull money out of their sweaty bras and hand it to me. I just took the money and tried real hard not to think that it had just been under Big Bertha's left boob. I would have gladly accepted money from just a foot any day. :)

Oh ho-ho no way. My gram and mom keep theirs down their "girdle". It's in a little wallett thingie, but still. Then again we live in Philly. Purse carrying is a huge no-no. I have great sympathy for ya though. Hopefully that woman wins and wins big. Mickey D's, man like someone said the woman's feet had to be cleaner them some of their hands, and don't even start me on them hats.

But that's not what happened. The manager became involved and reacted exactly the same way the employees did! (See my post just above your original post.)

ooooooooooooooh nevermind:crazy:

You know...even if this woman was in the same restaurant with me, I wouldn't have a problem with her eating with her feet. In fact I admire her fortitute to live her life and not sit back and be sorry for herself. Like the rest of us, she's doing the best she can with what she's got. Even without arms, she's been a good mother to 4 kids...more than I can say for some able bodied mothers we've discussed here. She must have had a terrific set of parents herself to become such a woman. JMO
