YES!! Thank you soooo much. How long was this lawyer on her case?

You're very welcome! As far as I know of Walsh, he was brought on to appeal her bond, I don't see a formal motion to withdraw as counsel anywhere on the docket for him. This is what I could find: http://www.wesh.com/news/17039556/detail.html

I am haven't found the video of this yet, but I think this is really the one you were looking for!:

Transcript: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25950531/

All right. Mr. Walsh, again, another, it seems, piece of bad news for your client. What do you make of this former inmate‘s comment?

WALSH: Dan, if you believe that guy, I‘ve got an ocean front property in Arizona to sell you. They don‘t house men and women in the holding cells together. I mean, the guy is lying.

ABRAMS: So he could not have asked her through any sort of bars.

You‘re saying it‘s just totally invented.

WALSH: Yes, men and women are separated. They‘re not across from each other. They separate them. They‘re housed differently. He never talked to Casey. That never happened.

ABRAMS: The jail did say - did confirm that he walked by her jail cell. So, you know that, right?

WALSH: And that‘s trust - so he walks by a jail cell and the jail is not going to let him strike up a conversation with somebody in the holding cell.

ABRAMS: Yes. Here‘s the problem, all right. Here‘s another problem for you, one of many that seem to be building up here, all right? June 25th, this is her former boyfriend, all right. This is the former boyfriend. Casey‘s former boyfriend says that - this is according to the Orange County sheriff‘s affidavit.

“Jessie Grund mentioned that Casey is a habitual liar. He told me that on June 25th - June 25th - he received a call from the defendant. She told him she was free this weekend if he wanted to get together. They used to date. She said that Caylee was with the nanny and they had gone to the beach for the weekend.”

Now, is this guy lying, too?

WALSH: Yes. He‘s been fired from his Sheriff‘s Department for psychological issues. You should take a look in this guy‘s background. Serious issues with this guy.

ABRAMS: All right. So we‘ve got - all the people that we‘ve got. This guy, this former inmate - he‘s lying, right? We‘ve got this - is the boyfriend lying here or the sheriff or the person in the sheriff‘s department?

WALSH: I don‘t know at this point. I have to examine them both.

...kc gave her personal recommendation on the guy ('mike'to her of course) to her prison-pal..

Hello dear! How’s my feisty sister?

"I’m extremeley grateful to Mike & Michelle for taking your case. And Gabe speaks
nothing but the truth. He’s my adopted brother Mike & Michelle wrote
a couple appeals in my case, that were nothing short of phenomenal. I
put all of my faith and trust in their abilities, and I know they will pull a
great victory for you! I demand it!"

I never remembered casey's lawyer being michael walsh?
Hmmm he must have lasted 3 minutes on the case

He was part of her Defense team up until sometime in 2008, iirc.
Well I found this....http://humbleopinionforum.net/judicial-system/

Michael Walsh is a Criminal Defense Lawyer in Miami, FL specializing in criminal appeals. He was a member of the Baez Defense Team (7/29/08 – 11/5/08). His contribution to the case focused primary on efforts to have Casey Anthony’s $500k bond appealed. He made guest appearances on national media networks (i.e., Today Show w/Dan Abrams; Fox News w/Megyn Kelly and Greta Van Susteren, etc). In a letter to Robyn Adams, Casey mentions Michael & Michelle Rodriguez Walsh (husband & wife team attys. who are friends of José Baez) as possible legal counsel for Robyn to consider hiring. M. Walsh represented Robyn for a brief period.

He was the lawyer that described her as a "steel magnolia"

http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/story?id=5727546&page=4
""She's a remarkable young woman in the sense that ... the best way I could describe her is she's a steel magnolia," said Michael Walsh, a member of her defense team. "No matter what anybody thinks, Casey Anthony is adamant. She did no harm to her daughter. She believes her daughter is alive. She believes her daughter's going to be found alive and well."

If you listen to some of his media interviews...Baez seems to have picked up some of Mr Walsh's statements.

Magnolias are a beautiful scented and dainty flower much like the gentile women of the old South. The movie 'Steel Magnolias' are about Gentile women (soft, loving, caring, have laughter in their lives) but when sadness
comes into their lives they remain strong thus and remain together thus, strong like 'Steel',but never losing their Gentile ways.

It seems strange to me that none of the main stream media have reported that the Grunds were deposed on Wednesday? Why not?? The media usually lets us know when major players are being deposed, and the Grunds are certainly pivotal witnesses, as are jail guard Silvia Hernandez and TES searcher with a dog Daniel Ibison - but the media did not report them being deposed on Wednesday.

Since the Defense (Mason) did not file the Notice of Taking Deposition on these people until AFTER the depositions were already taken on the same day -- I tend to believe the media did not know the depositions of these people were taking place on Wednesday.

Still, I wonder why the media has not reported, after the fact, that the Grunds were deposed on Wednesday? That seems newsworthy.

Isn't Wesh in the defense's back pocket for things the defense wants released? Sounds to me like those depos were definitely nothing good for Casey, so the defense definitely did NOT want anyone knowing the Grunds were deposed. That and they have so much support, that would be more ammo against Casey. They can't afford to have anything that reminds people of how bad this case really is or what an evil person Casey is out there, even notice of depos done on the Grunds. It's all about the potential jury. Can't have their memories jogged about Casey at this point.

I do wonder, though, if the Grunds said anything about the Anthony's marriage or anything like that, prompting CA to come out and say their marriage is okay.

I wonder why WFTV, cfnews, OS ... NONE of the media reported that the Grunds were deposed on Wednesday? Not only the defense darlings in the media ... but none of the media reported it.

That is strange. Hmmmm. Coupled with Dr. Glass's strange turnaround in her last blog ("Casey was smiling in court because she was genuinely happy for the law clerk being sworn in") and the Anthony's silence and "Happy Marriage" public declaration, I am thinking something is up. Wondering if there is any connection to these events/non-events.

Check out the time stamp on the top of the document 4:55!!! You just can't make this stuff up!
For my friend, Nums...

2:13 minute mark, George admitting the Blanchard park story was made up to include Jesse...no wait, Jesse is Zanny

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGKHxCr0WmE

Check out the three minute mark here. First put your drink down. Baez's assistant (?) said on the Dan Abrams show that Jesse was implicated in this. Does anyone have that recorded Dan Abrhams show? I recall Mr. Ashton mentioning the show in the gag order hearing, that Baez was actually on that show ADMITTING his client has lied, and how that is NOT good for her case.

What's with the garbage being in the trunk for 19 days? Where did they get the 19 days from?

Or perhaps the Grunds made it perfectly clear to the media to lay off...though it doesn't explain the other depos.

There was a receipt in the bag and they know the car was dropped off at Amscot on June 27th. So court forward from there. 19 days.

Hi,
Actually I do remember this being reported alot that day. I have a google alert for Caylee Anthony and one for Casey Anthony and know that this was reported about that day.

There were also some very horrible correlations that Seamus ORiley put together with all of the most recent moves by the defense. These are just his thoughts but wow, they really sound exactly like what the defense would try to do.

I just tried to post his url but it's not working properly when I preview so I don't know - but if you search for everything within the brackets [seamus o'riley 12/08/2010] in Google, the casey-anthony-defense-dna-scandal link should come up.

Anyway, take it for what you wish but I really found it interesting. I love reading his statement analysis on different cases as well.

Take care...

Maybe the first interview with the Inmate once she is found not guilty. What else could he offer them. Nothing worth :twocents: that I can see. KC never throws her flirting around for no reason. She has not had a man in quite some time. Maybe she is hoping for a visit from the new law clerk. KC does not do anything unless it will benefit her in the end.

Oakley that post from Dr. Glass has poofed from her site. Strange isn't it. The one with the inside info, the original one is still there.

Very interesting. Well I believe the responses were pretty much unanimously in disagreement. Thanks for the heads up, ST.

Thank you. could you post links for the media sites who reported that both Grunds would be deposed on Wednesday December 8th. I did not see any media reports on Wednesday December 8th, or even on Thursday December 9th. I never saw any ... but could have missed them.

Exactly my thoughts! Why didn't the media tell us that both Grunds and Joe J. and Daniel I (with the dog) and Silvia Hernandez were all deposed on Wednesday, December 8th? Why didn't they report it the next day after the depositions? The media usually puts at least one sentence about depositions of pivotal witnesses in a story. But nothing on these depositions.
