What is with Cindy's comment, in the deposition, that Jesse is the one that first mentioned the "nanny", Casey said the babysitter ? Didn't Casey's initial statements include the word nanny to describe Zenaida ?

She makes several comments like that- she tries to make it sound like a casual part of the conversation, trying to manipulate LE again, so as to bring attention down on Jesse- but Jesse has a HUGE advantage over the Anthonys- he is able to tell the truth of what he knows. She does the same thing with the 'black gentleman' as she calls him in one of the party photos, she says she doesn't know him but recalls that he is incarcerated for manslaughter- same tactic. She and her daughter are so clumsy in their lies.

People are on here saying Jesse should sue KC, my vote is not to even dignify any of it with a response.
I think his father is making sure that Jesse does not get any of this BS the A's are trying taken seriously by LE. Everyone's opinion, across the board is that all of the KC sized lies (I have coined that phrase, I think it is very funny) that the A family are perpetuating are BS. No one believes them. No one.

My advice to him would be to hold his head high, testify to the truth, continue in his life with his future plans, continue to believe that God has a sweet, honest girl for him to marry and have his own children with. (It matters that LE has cleared him, publicly and I am very glad they have). Knowing that, I would tell him close this chapter and move on with the rest of your beautiful life, when you are old and gray and looking back your life, the five years you knew CK will disappear among all the other good people, your accomplishments, and all that you can be proud of. If I had the kid's address I would tell him I am proud of him and not to waste another moment looking back.

Jesse if you should ever read this, your life has just begun, treasure the happy memories of a sweet little baby, let the rest go. Be proud that you loved her without condition, it was honorable that you wanted to raise her as your own. God sees you, he knows your heart. The way......., the very, very best way to honor her memory is to have a happy and full life. Julia Watson

According to RG's my space pages he plans some kind of civil action against the Anthonys- slander/libel something along those lines. He has sought counsel. I think he should sue, that family would drag his entire family into criminal proceedings if they could, I hope he gets all their 'licensing fees $$$' off them.

You need a medal for doing that. :innocent:

LOL! It had been a while; good refresher.

Also a crack performance by the interrogators, body-language-wise! She starts off solo, distanced, and "cornered," connects over the calendar but remains standing, is invited to sit between them, Melich readjusts, she finishes with the intense face-to-face hand-holding with him as he takes her through the lies... And the way they left the emotional crescendo to build until just before 11:30 when she had already stated she needed to leave for another appointment. Serious physical and psychological choreography there, with all due respect.

Watching her cross her legs one way and the other after she's seated between them was most instructive. Also watching for when she puts a hand over her mouth when talking about the timeline KC gave her. Fascinating.

ynotdivein,

Thanks! I was hoping you would expound on your earlier comment. Though it's been a while since I've seen that interview, I remember it being just as you described. Bless your heart for watching it again. You are a brave soul ;)

I would love to read your thoughts on other interviews or media apperances. Like GA's FBI interview and body language for example...whether through PM or GA's interview thread.

Thanks Reagan. The whole RG interview sent me down the audio/videotape rabbit hole (so many rabbit holes in this case and I just can't disbelieve that they all meet up in some dank warren). I'll keep poking around the videos.

Would like to show CA her own video and ask her to point out any things she might want to take back or revise, given what we know now, and what she actually knew then...

ETA: When G is on the phone with her while she is in jail, they can see each other right? Window between them? Or are they on phones in different rooms/unable to see each other?

  • #128
Yep they can see each other. They're doing video visitations on phones/video in separate buildings.

OK that explains a little bit about not meeting one another's eyes. Watching GA depo now. Part One alone is a veritable study in mirroring body language. GA starts off much less closed off than CA did though. She was set back in her chair, legs and arms crossed. He starts open, half leaned forward, R arm extended but covering with his L arm, protecting territory...

Very interesting. I wonder if GA is right or left-handed? Other than mid-section protective, was he covering his dominant or non-dominant hand?

  • #131
Dunno, but I am on part 3 and he STILL has his left leg crossed over his right. 08:14:09 hrs in the video and the mirroring leads from LE have not worked yet. Upper body much more open now.

ETA: GA finally changes position at 08:18 when LE leans across the table to reach for documentation re: money. Both feet hit the floor.

EATA: At + or - 9:30 in same interview, as soon as JG comes up, GA reverts to R arm on table, L arm covering. FWIW.

IMO Jesse knows way more than he is telling/or what has been released............He is one who spoke w KC on the 16th of June, 2:35 pm. When
he was interviwed the first time, he spoke of Caylee in the past tense " I only knew caylee the first 11 months when she was alive" This interview took place on June 23rd of 2008..........By the second interview he lawyered up. It is in the sticky forum.

When you say "the second interview" do you mean the Sept. 8, 2008 one? Because by then JG apparently had very good reason to suspect he was being tossed under the bus and therefore very good reason to "lawyer up."

I think based on Jesse's history with KC that he KNEW she was up to something. Plus...in one of the very early jail visits...KC said she didn't trust him and to stay away from him. I think a lot of people were suspect of his decesion to retain counsel...but in a case like this who in their right mind would "go it alone". And...FWIW...after she tried to pass him off as the father.....he knows what she is capable of doing.

Jesse is one of many people Casey called that afternoon, June 16th.
Jesse is not interviewed on June 23rd about the Anthony's.
Caylee is not reported missing unti July 15th.
Jesse lost his job on the 23rd and spoke to Casey on the phone.
He initially stated that he heard Caylee in the background during that call.
That information was later recanted.

Casey told her family not to talk to Jesse because she had spent two years keeping those two worlds from colliding and didn't want them comparing notes. Jesse probably does or did know a completely different side of Casey.

IMO he did not lawyer up fast enough. With his father posting online, theories abounding online about his involvement and reason for being fired, I cringed everytime I saw him being interviewed about the case.

In the beginning, I had no idea the depth and breath of how literal and serious and without limits the family was actually going to frame him. Well now we know and have seen for certain and it removes all doubt, Casey mom and pop and even the lawyers in open court are saying it, so now 100% I think they should catalogue each and every defamatory statement they have made and sue.I have said it many times on w/s the thought of them moving into a luxurious life to be rewarded for what their daughter has done would be the worst insult to the child's memory, much like seeing OJ out on the golf course after he got away with double murder. If I sat on the jury for Jesse's civil suit for damages I would award him obscene amounts of money just to ensure they never prosper from their lies! Jesse was the first to contact LE and he volunteered to do a polygraph straight away. I stand on his side, all day long. Listen again, I hadn't heard this in awhile, he tried hard to help the police.[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glc0lWM67zc"]YouTube- i1p2 - Jesse Grund Police Interviews - Casey, Caylee Marie Anthony[/ame]

Statements made to LE during an investigation cannot be used in a slander/libel/defamation case. Neither can statements made in court or under privilege (to your attorney, under subpoena).

Opinion and conjecture is also allowed under the first amendment. Cindy can say all day long that she thinks Jesse is involved, she believes Jesse is involved, she suspects Jesse is involved. Same thing that protects all of our theories about crimes and personality traits of the people we discuss.

Short of her stating to a third party that does not fall under the investigation/trial umbrella that Jesse for a fact killed Caylee or there is a third party that can prove that Cindy knows for a fact (not common sense would tell you) but knows for a fact that Jesse had nothing to do with this and she is going to fabricate a suspicion about him and spread it around (malice, intent) he is going to have a hell of a time proving a case. ZFGs case would be an example of someone who knows they are casting false accusations against someone.

The statute of limitations is 24 months from the time of the statement, so waiting until after the trial is definitely not an option if he chooses to pursue it. And then there is the hurdle of proving damages. He would have to prove that this has made him the victim of hatred and ridicule (which would be countered by defense with copies of the outpouring of support the public has sent) or damages to his career. Considering he was let go from the police department literally in the middle of the infamous thirty days he is going to have a hard time showing the career that was damaged. He hadn't started a new one and no rumors had been spread about him when he was let go from LE.

Just my opinion, but all the outrage in the world does not necessarily make for a good civil suit. It would truly be my hope for Jesse that put as much distance between him and the Anthony family as possible and invest his precious energy into something that will truly make him happy instead of burning more calories on this dysfunctional bunch, that will be drowning in their own crud for the rest of their lives. They have more than enough negativity to fuel their entire lives. moo

PS- now the girl who put in writing that Jesse had raped someone in an email to Cindy, she stated that as a fact as I recall, distributed it to a third party. Of course that was buried in a document dump and not covered in the press to my recollection, so filing the suit would bring much more attention to the claim, and associate his name with the accusation to many more people than the ones reading message boards and reading 1000's of pages of documents.

One of the early pictures of baby Caylee that will always remain in my heart is that of JG asleep in a rocking chair holding baby her.. this to me is the only picture I have seen where the love for that child was undeniable. I truly believe that he was the only person who loved Caylee without any ulterior or psychological motive. As always... jmho.
