MNT, I wish you'd quit making derogatory blanket statements about the posters here. It's getting real old.

^ because some of us have arrived at our conclusions by looking at the evidence, with the sole desire to make sense of it.

I have no agenda, I'm not blindly following one, and I'm not doing (or intending to do) ANY of the stuff you've stated in several posts now, that people here apparently do.

I understand. I feel exactly the same way when I see "Anti-Zahaus" or how I'm a racist who thinks Rebecca killed Max.

It DOES get old.

  • #123
Well *I* am not making those statements either.

Perhaps you could address such comments to the specific people you're talking about rather than insulting ALL of us.

I am almost 100% convinced that if all said things were done in order to discover "crucial truth", and it's not the desired outcome- everyone will be called liars and calling for perjury charges. Mark this page - it is my official prediction!

Just like Ann Rule's book- we all know how that text would be treated if it supported exactly what hoped. It would be the holy grail of all written word on this subject. And the backup to prove its veracity? Ann Rule had more access to the investigative files and the Zahaus than anyone.

BBM,

AR was supposedly working with Bremner who had been served a cease and desist letter. As well Bremner and the Zahau's were warned by Gore about releasing certain aspects in the file. Just how much wiggle room do you think AR had when writing the book? Albeit very little. I'm pretty confident ligation worries played a big role in what AR wrote.

I really don't want to get into why Gore said what he said. But do you believe it is fair to cherry pick things from the investigative file? Maybe that's why so much of it doesn't make sense to some.

Lash, what aspects, any clues to that? He rabbits on about Bremner having the file, fobs people off to her in the case FAQ instead of answering properly as he damned well should have -- so I'm a bit taken aback that he'd do that and then also warn her not talk about aspects of the case. *what aspects*??!! hehe, I would love to know.

So, when the Sheriff's department turned over its evidence to family attorney Anne Bremner, it came with a warning. The letter read, in part:

"The files that you will be receiving will not be released to the public, to the media, or anyone else, unless there later develops a law enforcement necessity to do so."

"This decision, however, may be re-evaluated if it becomes clear that parts of the investigation have been released to the media and to the public 'piecemeal', and that such a selective release of portions of the investigation has presented our investigation in a false light."

"Please understand that we have no desire to intrude on your client's right to speak freely about, or even criticize, the investigation completed by this office."

"…if portions of the investigation are selectively released to the media and to the public in a way that falsely represents the work performed by the Sheriff's Department, we will correct the false portrayal by opening the entire investigation for public scrutiny."

I have posted this letter in the WDS thread because it is my opinion, if the suit goes to trial, this letter will be used in some manner to support the plaintiffs case.

What does that letter have to do with an alleged murder? That letter, IMO, was not intended to intimidate but to give notice. It was clear to everyone what Bremner was intending to do with it.

^ The letter was sent after Bremner wrote about Adam watching 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on her Facebook page, and after she released only a small portion of Adam's 911 call - edited to make Adam look bad, IMO.

Off topic of sorts, but I just found out my mother's 83 year-old female cousin committed suicide a few days ago. She shot herself in the bathroom during the middle of the night. Her husband, who was sleeping in their bed just down the hallway did not wake up, and found her in the morning.

He stated she had never held a gun, or shot a gun in her life, but she somehow managed to load and fire the gun. Amazing what someone can do when they make the decision to take their own life.

Of course I don't believe in cherry picking or piece mealing (Sheriff Gore's word). I personally believe the motivation behind the letter was for a purpose completely different than what was stated in the letter.

Piece mealing is exactly what SDSO did when they handed over a file to the Zahau's and Bremner. They cherry picked what evidence would be included in the file. The reason there was a suit filed against SDSO for the additional file evidence. As well the suit requested SDSO to return Rebecca's personal belongings.

Hmm, if true, sorry to hear that.

And note how *simplistic* a method your relative's suicide was. No multiple pieces of ropes cut without frays, no multiple knives with rope frays on them, no multiple paintbrushes, no foot and hand bindings behind the back, no hopping across a dark room with the lights shut up, no noose, no gag, no dangling rope of over 10 feet from a bed leg to a balcony railing...no cryptic painted words in the third-person on a bedroom door...etc.

Thanks for elucidating how a bona fide suicide takes place versus the *fake* hogwash suicide scenario the cops in Rebecca's case wants us to believe.

You mean the question asked by a reporter at the press conference? The same question Sheriff Gore referred the reporter to ask Anne Bremner? The letter was included with the file, in the file, SDSO handed to the Zahau's.

11/19/2011-

News 8 asked Sheriff Bill Gore whether 🤬🤬🤬🤬 was found on Zahau's computer at a news conference Wednesday, but he refused to comment on the content recovered.

"That information is now in the possession of Anne Bremner if she'd like to discuss that with you," said Gore. "We're not really putting out all the specifics of the information found on the computer."

Those specifics are contained in the forensic computer report that Sheriff Gore also said he is not inclined to release.

"We released what we thought was pertinent so the public could understand how we arrived at our conclusions. To release the whole file would not be in keeping with our own policy," said Gore.

A spokesperson with the Sheriff's department told News 8 on Saturday, "We see no need to comment."

Yes, the letter from Gore clearly shows how the police tried to strong-arm and intimidate the Zahaus from questioning the suicide ruling. Shows clear bias on part of the authorities against the Zahaus. Good call Lash!

I guess Rebecca didn't feel like going out and buying a gun, did she? Her method of suicide was very simplistic, too. A long peice of rope, and over the balcony. Very easy, and recreated very easily at least twice...once by SDSO, and once by a news station. My point was, and is, that when someone is determined to kill themselves, they will find a way...just like Rebecca Zahau did.

And I must say, I'm a bit hurt, you are questioning my truthfulness about a relatives suicide? Sadly, it is true.

Sorry for your families loss :(

Thanks for posting Lash. Perfect example, Bremner brings up the 🤬🤬🤬🤬, yet doesn't mention it was access on Rebecca Zahau's computer at times only she was in the mansion, and instead tries to make it sound like it was Adam.

RBM - You're welcome. I am sorry this is another piece of misinformation. Which continues to be stated at fact over and over again and proven to be inaccurate at this time. There has been ZERO, NADA, ZIP, proof Rebecca was the only one in the mansion at this time or Rebecca was the person to access it. I do not understand why this is continually stated as fact when over and over again it is proven not to be. As I have said before, maybe RZ did view it, but the public has not been privy to this detail. So why continue to misdirect?

^ The searches were done in the 24 hours before Rebecca's death...so say midnight Monday night to midnight Tuesday night. Andd they were done on Rebecca's computer in the guest room. No one was at the home except Rebecca (and XZ until about noon Tuesday). You aren't suggesting that XZ viewed the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on Rebecca's computer are you?
