Snipped and BBM.
Just a point of clarification. Dina did not create a memorial foundation; Jonah created a memorial foundation ("Max in Motion"). Dina started a non profit 501c (3). They have vastly different operating rules.
"Max in Motion" is thriving, and quite successful, and has good prospects to remain present and active for many years to come. It's growing and expanding, per the foundation documents.
It's a hard thing to "compare" these organizations, but I can't say the same for DS's memorial nonprofit. I predicted 3 years for this organization a long while back. It's clear from the financials and other info that this nonprofit hasn't done much work of any substance related to the stated mission statement, in the past 2 tax years. (Except pay a salary to, presumably, the founder and CEO, and file the requisite tax forms.) It appears to primarily be a shelter for a little bit of income, IMO. Wouldn't be the first time that happened. It can easily be "revved up again" if the need arises to justify the nonprofit status.
Thanks for explaining the difference between the two, K_Z !!! So, Dina is essentially using the donations she receives for 'Maxie's HOUSE' as income for her personal use? Ugh. I hate that she is exploiting Maxie's death like this, isn't this criminal behavior???
OTOH, I'm happy for all those kids who are benefiting from the 'Max in Motion' Jonah set up. A very nice way to honor little Maxie.
