Found Alive WV - David Thompson, 23, Morgantown, 4 May 2017

The Morgantown Police Department is searching for David Thompson, a 23-year-old West Virginia University student from Santa Ana, California.

Thompson has been missing since Thursday, May 4. His mother told police that her son has a history of depression.

He drives a four-door, dark gray, 2012 Honda Civic with California registration plate 6TBB524.

Police said that there does not appear to be any foul play associated with his disappearance.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information regarding Thompson's well-being and/or whereabouts is asked to call the Morgantown Police Department at 304-284-7522.

UPDATE 5-18-17:
David's phone has been located abandoned in a neighboring county. The police have the phone and are in the process of conducting forensics on it. No other personal belongings have been located.

Police: Missing WVU student not believed to be in danger

Morgantown Police have said that they have gathered some leads in the case of missing WVU student David Thompson.

Police told 5 News that they aren't ready to release the details, but do not believe Thompson is in any danger.
