Victor is now questioning Bledsoe about the vial of insulin found in Cochran’s house during a search in June 2019.Other expert medical witnesses have testified that it would take a “fair amount” of insulin to lower a person's blood sugar to the deadly amount that Michael’s...

...was at on the evening of Feb 6, 2019, which was 21. Having heard that, Victor asked Bledsoe if it looks like a “fair amount” of insulin is missing. Bledsoe said he can not say. The dosage for a single unit of insulin is very very very small - point something of a milliliter.

Victor is done with his first cross of Bledsoe. Now back to the prosecution additional questioning of Bledsoe.

Acord is pursing questioning that concludes that had Michael been involved in the Ponzi scheme #NatalieCochran would have also been charged with conspiracy, even though Michael was already dead, but she was not.Bledsoe said that is accurate.

What is this?? Judge in #NatalieCochran cleared the courtroom of everyone but him and the defense. No state, media, public,etc.. to advise the defendant of her right to testify and her decision. That is not ex-parte/private. I don't understand. Help me out attorney friends! Is this something specific to West Virginia?

I know of some body builders that take insulin for their anabolic effects and help aid in glycogen production. Famously, Craig Titus (former Mr. Olympia and convicted for murder) listed his steroid use schedule and included use of insulin. Additionally, this article is interesting regarding “severe hypoglycemia due to cryptic insulin use in body builder.”

There’s no record of any Mr. Olympia winner to have died from a self-inflicted insulin injection. moo

If this is wrong, please provide a link. I wasn't able to locate one. TIA

Judge calls for a break.
Dallas McCarver, died August 22, 2017, placed 8th in the 2016 Mr. Olympia. His death was rumored to have been possibly linked to an insulin overdose.

Craig Titus, former Mr. Olympia competitor in the early 2000s has lots of online articles that document his steroid cycles to include the use of insulin for its anabolic effects. (I’ll attach one article to reference this below.). Craig Titus is still alive, however, he is serving a 21 to 55 year sentence in a Nevada prison for the 2005 murder of his assistant Melissa James. At the time of his arrest, alongside his competitor/bodybuiider wife Kelly Ryan, the list of drugs seized at the home included insulin along with a slew of other illegal substances.

There are others but here is one article that lists what a steroid cycles of his might have looked like:

Here is an article referring to a death of a 35 yo WWE competitor that was speculation of insulin abuse:

Additionally, celebrity body builder, Rich Piana’s mysterious death was thought to be due in part to insulin use. (I do not know what the official autopsy findings were.) However, Rich Piana was vocal about his use of insulin. Here’s a link to the article:
But this excerpt from the article is particularly interesting (see attached photo).

So I am late to this case and am just watching day 1 of the trial. I will definitely respond to previous comments by others int he thread but I still need to catch up!

From day 1....I found the first witness (key police detective on the case) started off weak, and then he found his stride. I found the defense lawyer to be bullying and testifying. (i.e. he was doing his job, even though I didn't like his style) The detective will be more sympathetic with the jury than the defense, IMO.
Natalie's friend came across as believable...no matter how much the defense bullied her.

I am still surprised that the prosecution is letting the defense 'testify' so much without objecting. For example the defense said things like "did you know that Mike was taking drugs from Mexico?" They let so many things like that go. Perhaps they don't want to irritate the jury with objections and believe that the rest of their case will stand strong?

I'll continue to watch if I have time.

ETA: the defendant is smiling and laughing and cocking her head. She's a convicted fraud artist, so I'm getting manipulative vibes from her.

So far (still day 1 in the trial) it seems that in early Feb 2019 the defendant told different people that she had norovirus, pneumonia and cancer. Yeah, no manipulation there. /s

#NatalieCochran murder trialDay 5 of witness testimony recapState has rested its case “(Natalie) had motive, she had opportunity, she had the means to do it. She's a diabetes counselor, she's a pharmacist…

…putting all that together, there's more than enough evidence to convict,” said Raleigh County Prosecuting Attorney Tom Truman.

She testifying that Natalie was listed as a “backup” to assist with the treatment and care of Jennifer & Chris Davis son.

The defense just called Nicole Cochran, Natalie & Michael's daughter to the witness stand
