What a tragedy. Eddie was very entertaining and will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to his wife and children.

Last night my 16 year old son and I were watching wrestling. Both of us were crying watching the tribute to Eddie. Yes, we are wrestling fans.
We saw the special they had on him last year and he had overcome alot of obstacles in his life, it's sad it had to end at 38.

My prayers go out to his family.....Godspeed Eddie.

I watched it also. Tonight MCNBC with Rita will have another program on him at 9 or if you have a dish 6 .The man sure had ato fight the demons for a long time. I was just glad to see he cleaned up his life. HBK made me think about life all over again.

I am not a major fan of WWE, but my boyfriend is and, as a result, I usually wind up watching it. I have to admit that Eddie Guerrero was a favorite.

Shawn Michaels brought me to tears when he said that the last breath Eddie took here was the first breath he took in Heaven.

I agree with what many of you have posted, Eddie's death will most likely be a result of steroid usage. What a tragic loss.

Thanks for the heads up JDB :)

From http://www.wrestleview.com/news2005/1132081738.shtml

the only drug I know he was hooked on was PAin pills. Here is the complete story. My remark the story is below.

Eddie Guerrero's initial autopsy results are in. It was a heart failure, and signs of heart disease were found. His heart was weakened from the previous alcohol and drug abuse.

Here is what Vickie Guerrero had to say to WWE.com:

“It was heart failure. It was from his past – the drinking and the drug abuse. They found signs of heart disease. She (the examiner) said that the blood vessels were very worn and narrow, and that just showed all the abuse from the scheduling of work and his past. And Eddie just worked out like crazy all the time. It made his heart grow bigger and work harder and the vessels were getting smaller, and that’s what caused the heart failure. He went into a deep sleep.

As soon as they saw his heart, they saw the lining of his heart already had the heart disease. There was no trauma, and Eddie hadn’t hurt himself in any way. It answered a lot of questions. I knew Eddie wasn’t feeling very good for the last week. He was home and kept saying he wasn’t feeling good and we thought it was just “road tired.” So we thought he just had to rest. It answered a lot of my questions, too, because he was just so exhausted. She said it was normal because the heart was working so hard.

When he didn’t call me last night and the night before I knew it was for real, because he would call me every night. I miss his phone calls. I cried through the whole thing (last night).

I loved his laugh. His laugh was the best.

We just celebrated his four-year sobriety last Thursday. We just thought we had life by the handful. We thought we had it all figured out. He worked so hard to make a better life for us.

I’m just overwhelmed by how people are coming out. It’s touched my heart a lot.

Everybody was just in awe last night in how beautifully everything was put together.

All my life was wrestling. All he did was take care of them and live for that. And I don’t know what to do now.”

Thanks for the updates. I watched the RAW show last night and it was heartbreaking.

I also watched Monday Night RAW and was very moved by all of the tributes. I agree the HBK comments were among the most touching, and the ending with John Cena placing Eddie's t-shirt in the ring and placing the WWE Championship on the waist of the shirt was nothing short of awesome. God bless Eddie's family and friends and RIP Eddie.

Wow, I'm late in getting this news. I don't watch wrestling anymore, but did for a little while when we had some friends into it. I remember Eddie and I really liked him as a performer. This is a shock. Prayers for his wife and children and everyone else who loved him.
