Found Deceased WY - Aubree Corona, 28, did not return to campsite, Sublette County, 13 Jul 2019

I agree. If there wasn't a sign I don't know how she would know to turn there if she was unfamiliar with that area as well.

What kind of searching has been done along Union Pass RD itself by the family? Or has the focus been on the southern route the clerk had given?

Union Pass Rd has been thoroughly searched on both sides of the mountain by family, search and rescue and some very kind local citizens who generously helped look for Aubree. Our family had a Forest Service map and followed every trail on the map as well as any side trails that may have be able to be traveled with a truck, on both sides of the mountain. There are wilderness areas on either side of the camping area that were not searched as motor vehicles of any kind are allowed in those areas and because the truck was not found it was felt that it would be unlikely she would have wandered into those areas. We have pretty well covered the areas to the south as well. We are just finishing our search of the "Lander Cutoff".

I'm thinking the road from Jackson Lake up to Lewis Lake and Yellowstone National Park area should be searched as well as the lakes themselves.
These are in national parks and she would have had to go through an entrance gate and pay a $35 fee. They no doubt have cameras at the entrances. Plus, it is well marked and quite aways off the main highway.

With that text message to her BF, law enforcement should have an idea where she was at that time (cell phones send their locations any time they send/receive texts, send/receive data (not WiFi), or make/receive calls). Have they shared that location?

I just started a profile on here because of this case, it has really bothered me. I drive between the Jackson and Lander areas often and usually alone.

The semi detailed timeline today filled in a lot that I didn't understand before. Knowing she was last seen in Dubois and possibly did not head back up into the mountains from there widens the possible search area in a mind boggling way.
If she took the recommendation of the gas station attendant and went through Lander, is it possible there is video evidence of her truck from there? I have seen her missing flyer on Facebook posts from that area.
If I had been in that situation and didn't want to go back up the way I had come down and instead start back up to camp from the Pinedale side, I would have headed over Togwotee Pass and through Grand Teton Park, through Jackson then down and through the Hoback canyon and up to Pinedale. It's all 55 mph+ and well travelled.
If she went through Lander, the next stop is Farson and back up to Pinedale. I would never imagine taking the Lander cutoff when you could stay on the highway until Pinedale (or Cora).
It is a huge, huge area.

Thank-you! I will check with LE to see if they checked for any video in Lander. Our guess is probably not as the information about getting directions from the store clerk is relatively new and what we've found is that most surveillance cameras tape over themselves every 3-5 days. But who knows! It's definitely worth a try! The only reason we are checking the route suggested by the clerk first is that Aubree had been to South Pass and Lander so she may have felt like that was a more familiar direction than going somewhere unknown and possibly getting lost again. But you are SO right when you say it is a huge, huge area! As we have been up there searching and have looked out off from some of the drop-offs out onto the prairie or looked up at a mountainside trying to decide how to best tackle a search to make sure we do not leave any possible stone unturned, it is beyond overwhelming! Just the sheer vastness of the area not to mention the terrain that needs to be covered is mindboggling!

LE tried to ping Aubree's phone on Monday. However, she has a Verizon phone and the local cell tower is non-Verizon. So, we were told, while it pinged off that tower it does not register until it finds a Verizon tower willing to take it signal. In Aubree's case that was CO and FL.

I am not talking about trying to ping her phone.

Absolutely every time a phone sends/receives a text, sends/receives data, makes/receives a call the phone itself sends its location to the tower it is connected to. Which ever company's tower it was received that location information. Law enforcement should be able to get that provided they don't take too long in doing so.

Someone said they hoped the family was searching, I said they were and now here's an article with quoted from her Mom, Karen Corona, saying that they searched.

Investigation continues for missing Wyoming woman
Yes, we absolutely are continuing to search for Aubree! Every possible clue we get we are out there checking it out! We will not stop until we find her! Thank-you! OriginalCreation for keeping everyone up-to-date!

Interesting! I will have to ask LE. Thank-you!

Yes, the sheriff department office is where Aubree would have gone for her breathalyzer. There is no reason we can think of other than she should know where the sheriff's office is. They were both on probation so we're not sure what reason either one would have tried to get the other one to turn themselves in. Aubree was probation for her DUI and the BF for charges a couple of years ago.

I'm a little behind here but if the sheriff's office is where Aubree was last going maybe the BF went there in hopes she would somehow show up? Another odd case. Hope she's OK.

See. I was thinking that but she said she was on her way back so why didn’t he wait at camp?
Was it ever confirmed if she showed up for the BAT (I might have missed this info please don’t yell at me lol)?

@montanagirl15 sounds like you have some good help in the search areas. I’m glad we now have more websleuth members on board for this Missing Person case. Please AC come home safe and sound.

Is there anyone available for drone searches? We have had several cases where volunteers have used drones to take pics in the areas not able to be reached by search teams. The pics are then downloaded for others to peruse...looking for clues.

Shout out to those with questions and ideas for @montanagirl15.

BF refuses to report it stole. Even though topic has been brought up several times. Not sure why.
Because he allowed her to take the vehicle.
Not returning is different circumstance. He doesn’t know if deliberate non return or accident. So cannot swear out a stolen vehicle report.

I know that my husband would have done the exact same thing, waiting for me to show up. Her boyfriend knew that Aubree had gotten confused on the forest roads leaving the campsite, so he was waiting in Pinedale to take her back to where they were camping.

He apparently was at the sheriff's office from about 3-8:30ish. I'm curious what his activity shows during that time. How many times did he try to text/call her? Did he ever actually go into the office to say hey my girlfriend was supposed to be here but she had texted me saying she was lost?

Perhaps, but it just seems odd that the BF was willing to sit infront of a sheriff's office on camera just waiting, when he knew Aubree was lost and confused and didn't know the area, rather than telling her to stay put in Dubois and he would go and meet her and have her follow him home to make sure she got home safe. It would have been about the same amount of time +/- an hour or two.

We are not sure of his actions while waiting at the sheriff's office. Our understanding is that he just sat there and never left. As for what he was doing in the truck as far as trying to call or text we don't know and we're not sure if LE has requested his phone records. We were told that a sheriff's deputy approached their truck. I don't believe they went into the sheriff's office.

The logger said, I think, that she said that she was almost out of gas. So, I’d think that the stop where she bought gas would be after the logger. If that’s the correct sequence, then the logger may have lost track of her because she was driving more slowly?
That is what our family has thought. Because she made it into Dubois after the encounter with the logger.

Was she supposed to do the breathalyzer at a specific time?
Our understanding is that each office has set hours for testing. But we have not been told the exact time Aubree was suppose to be in town.
