Pinedale was her original destination, correct? Completely opposite directions from Dubois? Perhaps she did make it back to the other side of the pass and tried to reach Pinedale to take care of her issue there. Her phone was dead by then so she couldn't tell anyone (speculating). Perhaps she had an accident in that direction and is waiting to be found?

Is anyone else uncomfortable that the last physical contact Aubree had before going missing was with the logger(s)? The sheriff's FB says "Sublette County Sheriffs Office was able to contact the logger and confirm his contact with Miss Corona," but Corona81 said, "some Loggers helped her get unstuck." The sheriff's FB also says that contact after that was made by text to her friends.

But, if the last contact was made by text, that could have been anyone using her phone. I don't want to jump to any crazy conclusions, but I hope they are really checking into the logger(s). He/they are the ones who gave her directions back to get gas, right?

Joining in. Trying to list the details as best I can gather. So so far...

Saturday: Aubree was camping with BF & her 2 kids (and possibly X# of other friends at campsite- or not?) then left camp in BFs truck at x:00 am/pm to run an errand, got stuck, received help from X# loggers, texted friends (late afternoon) she was still going to get gas & food, then disappeared after being sighted by X# people... specifically where, doing what? BF reported Aubrey missing to Aubrey’s brother at X:00 PM?

Monday: Reported missing to LE/ search began

Wednesday PM: search suspended

Did I get that right? What details can we add/fill in?

Questions:
What errand was she running?
How many loggers saw her?
Have they all been interviewed?
Exactly how many people were camping?
What friends did she text?
Have they all been interviewed?
How many vehicles at campsite?
What’s BF driving since Saturday?
What bank card transactions happened in the last week?
Phone records?
What did Aubree usually drive?
Where’s that vehicle now?
It seems loggers were last to interact with her...

So much missing information. I hope LE is aggressively investigating- not just hiring a S&R team for 2½ days!

Edit to add: where did Aubree’s ex pick up kids? From camp? What did he notice there? If not from camp, how did BF travel w kids to another location?

I've been a federal agent for 20 years. I mean no disrespect but historically, if there is a chance of drug use and a known history of criminal charges it can mean the difference between voluntarily missing (wherein the family may have ideas where she'd go to get away to center herself or get help) or being the victim of a crime. It makes the difference in where people begin looking for her. I'm sorry for your pain and didn't mean to add to it - I just think like LE.

Authorities in western Wyoming have suspended the search for a 28-year-old woman who has been missing since Saturday.

Sgt. Travis Bingham with the Sublette County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that investigators had no leads on the whereabouts of Aubree Corona, who was reported missing after she didn't come back to a campsite near Union Pass as planned.

I hate to hear they have quit searching :(

It is so sad that the searching has ended. Since Aubree went to get food and fuel, have all the stores around Dubois been checked to see if she ever made it to a store? Is there a link for the topo map that showed the search areas? I couldn't tell if they had searched along the highway, but it was really hard to read that map.

Yes and what about a search warrant for phone records? She had her phone to text “friends” (who?). She had to have reception late afternoon. Where & when was the last ping?

Search for missing woman in western Wyoming suspended
So they’re stopping the search due to no leads, and they’re asking the public not to search... what the heck. It’s like the the search ended as it began...
Wonder if @Corona81 is around for any updates? Is she there now with family trying to see what the campers or LE have to say? Maybe the loggers have come forward?

seems odd to me that they'd suspend the search already unless they have some news... IMO

In the following link to the update by the Sublette County Sheriff's office, they stated that they had made contact with the logger:

(Pinedale, Wyo –July 17th, 2019) The official Search and Rescue mission has been suspended in the search for Aubree Corona, who was been missing since Saturday.

This morning, search and rescue operations on the Sublette County and Fremont County side of Union Pass have been suspended for missing Aubree Corona after the search yielded no leads. Search operations began Monday for Miss Corona who has been missing since Saturday afternoon when she didn’t arrive back to camp with friends as planned.

During the search operations, Tip Top Search and Rescue members as well as the contract helicopter were deployed to the Union Pass area in an extensive search for Miss Corona. Fremont County Search and Rescue deployed a similar response on their side of the pass in a coordinated search effort. An extensive grid search of the entire area between Green River Lakes and Dubois Wyoming were conducted over the last two days. As of Tuesday evening, the search of the entire area resulted in no signs of Miss Corona or the vehicle she was reported to be in.

The last reported contact from Miss Corona was mid-afternoon on Saturday where she made contact with her friends via text message. She reportedly informed them that she was lost on the wrong side of Union Pass and received directions from a logger in the area. Sublette County Sheriffs Office was able to contact the logger and confirm his contact with Miss Corona. Miss Corona stated in her text that she was getting fuel and food and headed back to Sublette County. During the course of the last few days we received numerous tips from citizens who had seen her driving the vehicle on Saturday in the Union pass area. However, these sightings were early afternoon on Saturday and before her last text message to her friend’s at camp. BBM

We have received an overwhelming response of volunteers willing to come help search. These offers are very appreciated. However, we encourage people not to self-deploy in these situations as they can interfere with the detailed grid search and can result in secondary searches for those who aren’t familiar with the area and terrain. We want to thank those who gave us valuable information to assist in the search.

Miss Corona is still listed as a missing person. If you have any information about her whereabouts please contact the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office 307-367-4378

They did! But then another article said “loggers”. Was it 1 guy hauling away a truckload or marking trees or was it a small team? If more than 1, they need to interview them all. Where were each of them during the subsequent hours?

I'm new to this and a bit confused. The sheriff's office specifically asked the public to not search?

I cannot read the cited article without completing a survey. The statement on the sheriff's website announced the suspension of the search by LE.

Hi Jane- welcome to WS!

Yes the sherrif’s FB post requested that people not “self-deploy” because it often leads to others getting lost & diverting resources to additional search parties.

But if I were her fam, I’d get help with an organized search. LE is not very forthcoming with what they are doing- instead of a search party- to find Aubree. MOO

I just finished reading this thread for the first time. When I saw that they suspended searches so quickly one of my thoughts was that perhaps they got her phone records and saw something in them that changed the direction of the investigation. LE may suddenly think she is voluntarily missing or they may suspect foul play, depending on what was in her phone records. MOO.

Is this a permanent cabin/camp owned by family? Or camping at a campground?

What was the nature of her errand....meeting with an attorney or something?

The loggers......hope they've really been questioned......

I was thinking the same thing.

Also, she could be missing on her own free will, and LE may know this, but not her location.
