just FYI when replying to a post, hit 'quote' then 'reply' and type the response in the same box below the post, then hit 'post reply'
you've been submitting two separate posts for one reply
hope that helps

This why i added the link to FAQ to check meanwhile...

Btw i only need to hit reply on a post and the quote is inside, however the answer should be then written in the same reply.

Update: The family has been notified that the truck w/motorcycle was found today on the Dubois side of Union Pass on a "two-track" road. It was parked, not wrecked. Detectives are processing the scene now. Please pray for Aubree and our family!

Praying for your family and for Aubree to be found!

It must be a very remote road to have just now been found parked there. Either that or it wasn't there the whole time?

Vehicle Reportedly Driven By Missing Person Located In Fremont County - Wyo4News

I have been following this for a while. This is my first post, here is an article. They found the truck. It does not say anything about the state of it and they are still looking for her.

Wow! There goes my theory. I really thought Aubree had a very unfortunate accident and if found would be in her vehicle. Now I'm not sure what to think but I'm thinking positively that this means she's still alive. I wonder about the condition of the vehicle. Could there have been a minor accident but vehicle was not drivable and she set off on foot ? Vehicle out of gas? Where are you Aubree?

  • #507
This is more disquieting than my idea that she and the truck were in a body of water. I'm glad the truck was found. I'm sorry what it might mean for Aubree. Prayers said.

Bless you for thinking positive. My heart dropped when I saw this latest update. I'm back to being suspicious that someone may have harmed her. Still so many unanswered questions though. I don't understand how a truck parked on a road (even if a very remote two-track one) was missed by the searchers until now. Did she go back via Union Pass even after the gas station clerk gave her directions on paved roads? Alternatively, I wonder if she never made it off of Union Pass while following the logger? Maybe the woman asking for directions was not Aubree but someone else lost who looked similar to her? Did she run out of gas when the logger lost site of her? But if that happened why would she leave the truck on foot? Why not take the motorcycle? I hope LE has answers soon.

Was this area searched already?

Welcome Jedicode. Thank you for the link.

From above:

“At the time of this release, we have no indication of Aubree’s location. However, detectives are now actively working the scene for clues and we will release more information as it becomes available.”

"This new discovery is a step towards finding Aubree, however until she is found we are urging the public to come forward if you have any information regarding her whereabouts," Bingham said on the sheriff's office Facebook page.

Leeds Creek Trail

See nearby water areas, many listed (lakes and creeks)

Very useful link here! Here is just a snippet—-must read entire article. This is important!

Wyoming Backroads Guide 8,000 Miles Dirt Roads Book Dan Lewis

“.....Turn northwest on NF-600 along Tosi Creek and you can see Triangle Peak to the west. After a couple of miles, the road crosses a little creek and turns away from Tosi Creek and starts its climb up Bacon Ridge above Tepee Creek. Two miles further the road cuts sharply to the east to a junction. Here the Kinky Creek Road continues northwest.

Stay east around the ridge and then north on the Union Pass Road. The road follows along a small creek and you begin seeing lodgepole pine and spruce trees. Four miles further, you pass by Mosquito Lake and the road travels along the edge of a large park. Here you have a good view of the Wind River Mountains (Sourdough and Connie Glaciers near Yukon Peak). A few miles further, the road crosses Wagon Creek to a junction in Buffalo Meadows. Here the road northwest goes to Park Creek Meadows.

Stay to the northeast and after two miles you cross Raspberry Creek. The road then passes through another park where you can see the top of Squaretop Mountain to the south and Downs Mountain to the southeast. You then cross Strawberry Creek to a junction on South Fish Creek. (This area is just plain pretty.) Here NF-640 turns off to the Fish Creek Guard Station.

Stay east across the creek and then north as the road travels along the north side of Fish Creek Park to another junction. Here a NF-670 turns north to Leeds Creek (seven miles).....”

This is really breaking my heart for all involved. I feel for her family, her kids, her boyfriend and family, everyone. I live in Rock Springs where she lives and so it has just been mind blowing that they haven't found her yet.

I’m thinking at the moment she got totally lost, then left her vehicle. She would have needed water. Been hungry, gone for help, etc etc.

So it seems Leeds Creek intersects with South Fork Fish Creek:

Staring at this terrain. I imagine they’re out running the dogs out now from the vehicle.

This really is magnificent terrain.

So glad for an update and like many of you I totally thought Aubree had an accident. I'm glad that's not the case, but I don't know what to think now.

Hoping for positive answers and finding Aubree!

I’m still looking at mileage, etc but IF she ran out of gas and/or chose to abandon her vehicle, she may have headed to the creek not only for water but to follow along the creek.

We know statistically that often people are found very close to their vehicles IF there has been an accident, but with no accident...

This terrain is just, like I said magnificent.

She’s been missing since July 13. That’s 35 days? Out there in that wilderness?

Might she have gotten on the bike I wonder—-was that bike operational, refresh my memory please. Did she have the keys, etc. Obviously LE would see if the bike was there or not and would know this.

Of course wildlife is a concern among other things. I haven’t thought Foul Play is a factor from the beginning. Moo

Did she know how to ride the motorcycle? Were its keys on the same key ring? I read earlier that it would have been possible to get the motorcycle out of the back of the truck, but did she know that?

This, overall, is shocking news—but I feel just a trace of hope—I had believed that the truck was in a lake, which would have been no hope at all.

I may have missed this info, if already posted:
The road where her truck was discovered: Is that road near the road she was travelling on while following the logger to the route back to camp?
How far away is that road from the camp?
Was the truck found on the "camp" side of the Pass?
Which direction was the truck facing?

Thanks!

So google maps says (of course we don’t know exactly where around Leeds Creek) that the distance from the gas station in Dubois where I assume she asked for directions (Warm Springs Dr) is as follows:

1 h 28 min (31.3 mi)
via Union Pass Rd

So glad that it’s clearly not the accident into a lake theory... but 35 days without a car or in the wilderness scares me too. I’m hopeful she got lost in the woods looking for a water or food source and came across a cabin.

Also hope they publish the forensic findings of the truck... any blood, cadaverine scent, fingerprints or wiped down? I never really thought of foul play but maybe we will have more clues soon.

So glad for the progress, let’s all pray to the universe that she is alive.
We will find you, Aubree!!!

Post in progress, looking for a post by @montanagirl15 which shows the search grids covered:

(ETA: of course if she was traveling, migrating she could have been missed, esp with the terrain)

The map is here; thank you as always AmandaReckonwith for your case arrives:

I have saved as much as I can find. Unfortunately, most of the articles are repeats.

@montanagirl15

Sorry if this has been covered. How experienced is Aubree with the wildnerness, survival skills, etc. ? What supplies were in the truck?

Are you guys heading out to that area? What has LE said?

ETA2:

@montanagirl15 , I’m sure LE has all resources out there, but in case they are open to others assisting, I recommend contacting these folks:
