I am really feeling like when the Laundries reported him missing they were asked if there were any missing weapons or firearms. Who knows if they had checked the Mustang’s trunk previously had a firearm been kept in there (out of the drivers arm’s reach as Florida law states). There was also a mob on their lawn so I don’t think they would have casually gone outside themselves to see if it was missing. I think this is why the officer went out and checked the trunk and car. I think he was looking for a firearm that BL now has with him.
I agree. The posture of law enforcement seems to be based upon knowing he is in fact armed.

It's a super strange search effort for a guy who is allegedly not a suspect, nor do they plan to arrest. This looks a lot like that search effort for those escaped inmates in upstate New York several years ago.

These guys are heavily armed, and wearing body armor. There's probably a good reason for that.

What time is sunset where the search is taking place?

I'm in the UK so trying to gauge how many more hours of daylight there is left..

Not much daylight left right now. Maybe another 1/2 hour, tops.

Remember, there’s people in this world who think Chris Watts is a wonderful man and it was all her fault.
And Barry Morphew

we have about an hour left of daylight here in the eastern US for the dude that’s hiding in Florida and I’m guessing about 2, maybe 3 if lucky out west where they are searching for GP.

7:30 PM EST, give or take if it’s wooded. That’s FL.

I don't think it matters who owned the van? He was most likely on the insurance policy, which means he had permission to drive it, no?

  • #808
Is there any evidence that BL is an abuser? I haven't read anything to that affect.
He has done things abusers typically do, such as isolating his victim from friends - according to a FL friend.

This is my experience as well when my friend Kenzie Lueck went missing. The FBI got involved and looking back at the timeline it appeared to be right when they were looking into a person of interest who later turned into the murderer.

The FBI also gets involved when a possible crime involves more than one state.

The Spread Creek dispersed campground makes a lot of sense as a search area…

THIS!!
4. Also, when I looked at a map it occurred to me that Brian may have gotten anxious and asked to get out suddenly from the TikTok girl's jeep for a different reason. Driving south from Colter Bay toward Jackson, there's a fork in road near the dam - it appears that the jeep driver took the park road instead of the highway (191). If Brian was trying to get back to the Spread Creek campground where the van was parked, he wanted to go on 191, because that's the road which leads to the turn off to the campground. So as soon as the driver took the right turn on the park road, instead of 191, Brian freaked out and asked to get out. And where was he? The Jackson Dam area.
Great theory

In the context of a conversation between BL and Miranda & BFF, all of whom are tourists new to the area, the very obcure very small town of Jackson Idaho 230 miles away doesn't seem like a reasonable request for his as a destination.

In the area, the names Jackson and Jackson Hole are synonymous and the same town. As noted above, the request to bail out at that location may be more related to the location of the van and the fear the route was taking him farther away from it. The alarm at Jackson Hole may have just been a ruse to get out and not disclose his real destination.

My guess is that it's about 10 miles by road from where he was dropped off and the van at Spread Creek Campground.

I didnt know the van was at Spread Creek Campground..dang back to my maps...

Hi, can you link to the documentation that notes Gabby is an aggressor in domestic violence on more than one occasion? Thank you.
We have very little real evidence that we've reviewed in this forum but there are two bits of evidence that claim GP was the aggressor. The cops report that accompianied the bodycam video and the report of Christopher on the 911 call to the police. They are linked in this forum multiple places

T 200$ for a ride sounds to me like, “get me outta Dodge”.
First time posting, long time on this website. I couldn’t resist anymore.
<snipped>

Welcome @Colinj31! Resistance is futile lol.

Re the $200 offer - this stuck out to me because I remember on the video BL didn't even seem to have enough $$$ to get the hotel room that LE wanted and LE had to work on that behind the scene to obtain one for him.

Parents of Gabby Petito's boyfriend return home after rebuffing cops

video Tuesday prior to their arrival on Tuesday when officer delivers pink notice. There are no cars except the camper in the driveway.

Missing Gabby Petito's dad linked to Laundrie home incident report evening before daughter reported missing

Picture yesterday shows mustang where the red truck parked on Tuesday and the red truck parked behind the camper.

Here is another add to the timeline:

KSL’s Garna Mejia actually ran into a local man who said he and a friend saw Petito’s van as they were spotting for elk on Aug. 29.

“He thought he had seen the white sprinter van described — blacked out rims, wheels,” said Tyler Valentine. “We all live in this small town, so when this stuff happens, we all take a little bit of initiative and try to look out for things.”

What’s interesting about Spread Creek is that Petito had marked the place as a possible camping area through the Dyrt website, something Valentine and his friend were unaware of when we spoke with them.

Search intensifies for Gabby Petito; police respond to Laundrie home in Florida

Police prepared for 'agitated' encounter with Laundrie
North Port police are prepared for “the worst,” including a possibly agitated encounter with Brian Laundrie.

A combined task force of the North Port Police Department, FBI and related agencies entered the Carlton Reserve Saturday morning. Officers and agents entered the heavily wooded area wearing body armor after Laundrie’s parents reported him missing since Tuesday and named the reserve as his possible last known location.

“I think you always prepare for the worst and hope for the best,” North Port spokesperson Josh Taylor told Fox News. “You have to have your guard up, you have that potential.

”When asked if officers expect Laundrie to be agitated, Taylor said, “Have you been following the news? Yea.”

Gabby Petito: Police searching for her fiancé, family says he's been missing for days: LIVE UPDATES
Has there been any MSM written regarding the silver Mustang? Brian Entin was in front of their home Tuesday evening and tweeted they had left an hour ago and would not speak to him. No Mustang in photo. They come home, still no Mustang. Weds. he is back in front of the house and it's suddenly parked in the driveway? These people are monsters.
Quoting these posts so I don’t lose them as our threads are moving like the lightening outside here in Florida tonight - (and if BL is outside and if it’s raining south of me yikes- it’s torrential now- sorry - not sorry)
——
I’m working on the timeline for Monday- Friday so I’m glad to see Brian (newscaster) was there and commenting as I only watched him last night - could use our sleuthers help
Monday- what was parked in the driveway?
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday- mustang and camper (saw with my own eyes)

thanks all

Working backward from the theory she's lost in the wilderness... Say B lost track of her somehow, for whatever reason. Say, they got in a fight so she stormed off. Or he stormed off. He tries to find her later. Can't.

The logical next step would be Search & Rescue. But no. No, he drives to Florida. He won't speak. His parents stay mum. Gabby's parents are desperate. LE, FBI, god knows who else is breathing down the household's neck.

Despite all this, he won't talk. What conceivable reason would he have? Does he think he'll be seen as a bad person for 'deserting' her? Is that his concern? Being seen as a bad guy? Or would concern for her well-being outweigh that? Would giving out basic info. re where he last saw her be the priority? What's he got to lose by giving last location? Apparently *whatever it is, it outweighs divulging it* to millions of people at this point. So, working backward, I think, well, it's just not looking good for her. So very sad.

Nope. The witness, Christopher, said that GP was slapping LB. The police report said that nobody claimed the male had hit the female. Now there are shades of abuse that don't involve hitting someone.

Now can we please move on? We aren't going to be able to fully analyze the altercation until we have more information, which, hopefully, we will get when they are found.

It's hard to ignore all that and just "move on" because the police cam shows words, actions and details an assault on GB's face by BL which somehow did not make it into their written report. I think even a podunk public defender could have gotten any charges against her thrown completely out just by showing the body cam parts the cops omitted.

The comments about the possibility of Brian grabbing at Gabby's face or throat, my take was that she was struggling to find her words. She wasn't adequately describing what had happened. I think Brian may have been holding her face between his hands to get her to look at him and to help focus her and calm her down. In at least one of the photos I've seen, he had has hand on her head in a loving gesture. We need to be careful with our assumptions and biases that tend to disfavor men.
The probability of a missing woman being killed or injured by a significant other ex or current is very high so that is where the bias comes from. It is a fact.

Hmmm. I never realized that by putting one of our cars in my wife's name, that I end up stealing it every time I use it. If someone lets you drive their car, then you aren't stealing it. Saying he stole her car is not truthful.
If she's dead, did she let him drive it?

I didnt know the van was at Spread Creek Campground..dang back to my maps...

This is postulated bc two elk spotters reported that they saw the van parked at Spread Creek Camp.

I’ll edit this post to add the date and link to the reporter who tweeted that information. Just trying to keep on topic and keep up here.
