For all looking at SS of van parked.

If someone could get the original clip from the posters, it would not be compressed as much and have better detail

The sandals outside are interesting. I could see it meaning that who ever owns them is inside. When camping it is typical to have sandals to wear around the site that are not brought in - to eliminate dirt tracking. This was also probably the source of the discussion in the LE stop about him being dirty (barefoot).

I would think that if no one was there, they would have been left on a mat inside or on a bumper.
Here is directly from the sources’ page:

If BL went to hike Tuesday, why would his parents move the car Tuesday night? This is a self-proclaimed wilderness guy. Wouldn't it be reasonable to assume maybe he wanted to camp overnight Tuesday in the preserve to clear his head and come back Wednesday? It seems awfully soon to move the car. Wouldn't they be worried that they were stranding him there?
Yes, that’s a legitimate question that needs to be answered.

I'm not currently seeing any helicopters in the area, yet they said helicopters were being used today in WY.
There were helicopters yesterday flying a region over Grand Targee Ski Resort and just east of that. I think they might have been crews working on the lift lines or clearing timber, though, and I've heard nothing more of a search area in that region.

Since BL is the subject of a missing person investigation, can friends or relatives be asked by LE to take a polygraph?

I suppose they could be asked, but honestly, I don't think there would be a reason to. They are unreliable at best and misleading at worst.

MOO, I think the $200 thing could be more of an offer he knew would be refused. Or even that when he got somewhere he would just say he didn't actually have $200, but thanks for the ride. The way he talked to the cops he looks like a practiced smoozer/manipulator.
I wouldn't pick up a hitchhiker for 2000. Maybe he offered them that much thinking they wouldn't refuse him. Or...he was desperate!

Not the van. The mustang.
Oh, wow. I just went back to double-check and had to click back 7 or 8 quotes to find the beginning of the thread. Sorry! My bad! I thought for sure we were talking about the van again!

One upside to BL’s disappearance is that it may well make it easier/faster to get a warrant for messages between BL and GP, seeing as LE could possibly make the argument that they have to make sure they’re not currently in touch with each other.

I don’t think he said he had their phones but could be able to track them!
I’m pretty sure he said that after first claiming they had them.

What was the reason they didn't get search warrants for the electronics (phone, laptop, etc) early on ? a week ago? They lived together as a couple, she also had property there, the van was registered to her.... what were they doing?

SBM. That is a great point. When he was reported missing, they retrieved clothing from his house to help scent him for searches. I assume in a missing persons case you can get the info you need from the home to look for them, so Why couldn’t they enter to do that for Gabby, also, since she lived there?

Thank you! I found it:

"On August 25th or 26th, the couple chatted with the owner of a shop called 'Rustic Row' in Victor, Utah for about 20 minutes, East Idaho News reported on Friday.

'They told me they were traveling from Florida. They had just been to Teton Park and they said they were interested in going to Yellowstone and I told them they could go to the west entrance,' the owner, who was not identified, told the outlet.

'They seemed happy and when they left, she hollered back from the door that they were engaged and then I said congratulations.'

The shop owner said that she contacted the FBI after seeing reports of Petito's disappearance on the news.

Gabby’s mother told MailOnline that she is 'not entertaining' a TikTok video that’s been widely circulated in which a young woman describes picking up a man she believed to be Brian on the 29th.

'The timeline seems way off. Maybe she thought it was him, but I just know the timeline is off. The van left there the night of the 27th or early on the 28th. The van was in Florida on the first. It’s not possible for it to have been there on the 29th.'

Wisconsin TikToker Miranda Baker said she and her boyfriend were at Grand Teton National Park in Colter Bay, Wyoming, on August 29 when Laundrie approached the couple and asked them for a ride at 5.30pm."

But, I believe she is wrong. To me, the timeline could not be more spot-on. Was this right after the girl came forward? Because even last night the NP spokesperson slipped that they had no reason to believe her account was a hoax.

said i can't leave her again fold over

MOO - he DID leave her AGAIN.
Alive or not, I'm not sure. Just haven't seen anyone pick this out of Brian's statement on the body cam. He has admitted he has done it before to her.

It was so muffled it could be interpreted as almost anything, but saying "he couldn't leave her again after saying "I can't believe you are getting pulled over" just doesn't flow right.

More like:
BL: "Hitting the curb was her grabbing the wheel.
LE: "She grabbed the wheel?"
BL: (normal voice) "Yeah, she said, 'I can't believe you're getting pulled over'", (then he muttered) "then she grabbed the wheel." Muttering, as in, repeating the original statement that she grabbed the wheel.

But again, it isn't clear what he said, but anything about leaving her doesn't fit logically.

This is the exact quote by the mother "'The timeline seems way off. Maybe she thought it was him, but I just know the timeline is off. The van left there the night of the 27th or early on the 28th. The van was in Florida on the first. It’s not possible for it to have been there on the 29th."

The mother may not want this to be true or she may not have/had all the available information or just didn't think it through - but there are multiple accounts of the van being in the campground (and in the described location) after the 27th (including by the couple that posted the video). The FBI themselves are looking for people who were in the campground from Aug. 27th - Aug. 30th. That should tell you something.
The video from the couple was from the 27th, so it hypothetically COULD have left that night. That being said, I'm personally leaning towards something happened on the night of the 27th or on the 28th. LE likely has video of BL on the way back at this point and can make some assumptions based on that.

I’d like to know if his phone is off.

Right now, I'm going with LE and the mother know things that we do not over the 'multiple witness' reports. imo.

Sorry if this has been posted already.
Does anyone else see a face in the corner of the passenger seat window (in the YT video as they pass the van)? Pause at 1:57. Screenshot below. Or do you think that’s just like, trash shaped like a face?

Also, I agree also that the door looks like it closes.

I see it!

I was doubting myself, thinking it's a reflection, but I've looked at it from multiple screenshots and it looks like a head/face to me, leaning on the window. It's not a reflection, it's clearly behind the glass. And then there's someone (BL) sitting behind the wheel in a white T shirt.

I also see 2 flipflops behind the van, not one. I see 3 bands - 2 bands from 1 sandal and then a third band which seems to be from the second sandal, as seen from the side.

MOO

My gut tells me her body will be found in WY and his will be found in FL. It’s five days since his parents supposedly picked up his mustang. And all he trekked in was a backpack? I think that’s what was reported? I’m so lost in the movement of these threads!
Quite possibly, yes — providing BL is actually at the nature reserve, and didn’t flee.

I have a screenshot from a slightly different angle that isn’t so zoomed in, but I keep getting a “security error” when trying to upload.

To me, it looks like a flashlight sitting on top of a rock/folded towel to the left of the flops. I also wanted to compare sticker placement to a picture prior to Sept 1.
