Snip
Utah police have revealed they responded to an 'incident' involving 22-year-old 'van-life woman' Gabby Petito and her boyfriend, just two weeks before she was last seen in Wyoming.

'Our officers did respond to an incident involving Brian Laundrie and Gabrielle Petito on 12 August 2021 however, neither Brian or Gabrielle were the reporting party,'

'Officers conducted an investigation and determined that insufficient evidence existed to justify criminal charges,' Moab Chief of Police Bret Edge told Fox News.

So, it is possible that the last text from Gabby (30th) was sent from across the country (he could have made the drive in 2 days), but I tend to think that wasn’t the case.

I imagine Brian was already on his way home at that point, and the location of that text would be absolutely damning if true.

Phone records are going to play a major role here.

Missing Long Island native's boyfriend a person of interest, hindering investigation, police say
The family of a missing 22-year-old woman originally from Long Island says her Instagram account has been restored after it was mysteriously deleted, while police in Utah are confirming an "incident" between Gabrielle Petito and boyfriend Brian Laundrie that happened a few weeks before her disappearance.

"We have no idea who deleted Gabby's Instagram account," the family's attorney told Eyewitness News reporter Kristin Thorne early Wednesday. "We contacted Instagram and the FBI to let them know that it was deleted."

IIRC, in California anytime a DV call to police is made, they are required to detain someone for a "cool-off" period. Perhaps this would have saved Gabby.

Seems like he didn't love her. If you love someone, you would turn the world upside down till they were found. Never leave her across country. Not sounding things ended good with the couple.

Utah police were called to an "incident" involving Gabby and Brian on August 12th. I'm going to hazard a guess and say a fight broke out and a neighboring campsite called the police.

"Speaking about the latest development, Moab’s chief of police Bret Edge told Fox News: 'Our officers did respond to an incident involving Brian Laundrie and Gabrielle Petito on 12 August 2021, however neither Brian or Gabrielle were the reporting party.'"

This is the van Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie were in -- now in police custody in North Port, Florida. Detectives processed it for evidence with the help of FBI agents.

There is a reason that he is a person of interest this morning...

I have uncomfortable vibes about that storage unit.

The fact that her Instagram was deleted today then restored makes me believe he either has her phone or her passwords. Unless of course it was GP herself but I find it unlikely she wouldn’t be in touch with family if out there somewhere with phone.

But not with a face/voice. The last actual communication was 8-25.

SO, it leaves open the question of who sent such texts to Mom? Exculpatory texts, btw. Gives a reason for no Gabby (break-up) and a reason for BF to have the van (she gave it to him). Both are very suspect when coming from only one person - and in a manner that is unusual (Gabby spoke to her mom by Facetime AND by phone - why cover such important material by text?)

Gabby's mother didn't seem comfortable with these texts, which does raise suspicions. Now we can talk about Brian sending them, or at least someone who is not Gabby.

Obviously texts are devoid of voice and tone and inflection, but I think I'd be able to tell if someone were to falsify the texts of someone close to me. Like probably everyone else, we have pet names and ways we sign off and family shorthand etc. If someone wrote a text that didn't sound like my friends or family, a part of me thinks I would know right away. Unless Brian knew Gabby to the degree that he could copy her style, but her mother found the texts odd, too.

And I agree with @10ofRods that the substance of these texts appear to be a storyline that favors Brian.
