There are no nations in the Western Hemisphere without extradition treaties with the US (for US citizens who are wanted in the US for crimes).

So, his best bet was to illegally enter Canada, flee to Alaska, and then find someone with a fishing boat willing to drop him off in Russia. The Russians would notice him. Would they send him back? Probably not. Maybe. But what would they do with him if they kept him?

I think he'd need a good sum of money to bribe someone to cross illegally into Russia's waters. I guess he could kayak across the Aleutian chain (yeah, right).
You're forgetting about Cuba, only 90 miles from Key West. Do his parents own a boat?

Do you think he was asking the police what Gabby had said about him because he was worried what she might of said? Meaning theres a reason for her to say something even though she didnt?
Why would he not ask Gabby after they had spoken to the police rather than asking the police officer?
I feel like there was a lot of tension, negative emotion & no trust in the relationship and a lot of this was shown physically/mentally on the last few days of Gabby being alive?
Yes, I think he was definitely worried about her telling the truth about what had just happened outside the Moonflower Cafe, & that she would bring to light the ongoing abuse in their rel. Otherwise he probably wouldn't have voiced concern about what she'd say about him, imo.

It's possible the parents had no idea when he first arrived home, but it seems clear they knew something (whether it was the truth of the situation or not) before the 11th when they handed a lawyers business card to police.

The human part of me wants to believe that they didnt know when they went on a lovely mother son bike ride. Ugh.

IF he is in that reserve, with all that water, the mosquitos alone would drive him insane.

What do you think?

I don't think he's in the hiking area.

I don't think he'd ever kill himself.

I think he's hiding elsewhere and I think he has had HELP to do so.

Agreed. The narcissist rarely commits suicide.

Law enforcement continue their search efforts for Brian Laundrie inside the Carlton Reserve

They’re using ATV’s, drones and K-9 units to search for him

Mexico and the Caribbean are a lot closer..
Yeah, whatever the source of this information, I've got to believe that they believe there's a good chance he's there.

People were questioning how they knew he arrived in Florida on the 1st. It turned out a license plate reader and witness sightings were the source, and not the family.

Likewise, I don't believe it's merely the family's statement that they are going off in regards to this particular search.

So even if he's not there, I believe he was there.

I have been so spooked too. Imagine having a deer cam and seeing that!

I slept with the light on the other night.

Per WFLA, TFR issued (temporary flight restriction) to clear airspace…choppers, drones, etc. Don’t know if this means anything.

This is moving so fast — I’m sorry if someone else has given their opinion. LE is deploying their own drones when necessary and they probably don’t want other drones interfering. WFLA clarified that the restriction applies to anything below 400 feet.

ETA: One of the members here who is a pilot said more about the TFR so take a look at that for facts.

I did see that and it very clearly paints the picture of him having had a firm grip on her arms. But no one is denying he attempted to restrain her. I would try to restrain someone coming at me too. Especially someone coming at my face. /JMO
I have a suspicion that there could have been more to Gabby than we realize. Anything is possible really. Never quite know what a person will do if pushed far enough

AFAIK there's no verification that BL has ever been on the AT. At its most southern point, the AT is 600 miles away from North Port.
I don't feel like going back to pour over all their social media posts, but I am pretty sure they posted pictures of them hiking the AT. Its a 6 hour drive for me to reach the AT and I have done it dozens of times.

Can a person carry enough things in to eat to survive for a number of days?

Social media driving massive interest to Gabby Petito case

As of Tuesday, the hashtag #GabbyPetito has received more than 650 million views on the social media platform TikTok, according to the Associated Press.

Interest in the case also has been coming from Instagram, where investigators have combed over Petito's account for clues on her travels and background.

“Instagram is kind of like the photo on the milk carton, except it reaches so many people quickly,” Michael Alcazar, a former detective and professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, told the AP.

Gabby Petito's van shown in disarray after Utah police stop

The inside look into the couple’s van was captured on police body cameras outside Arches National Park near Moab back on Aug. 12 when officers encountered a sobbing Petito.

The footage was vastly different from a video Petito posted on YouTube days later on Aug. 19 documenting the couple’s “van life journey.”

Footage from August 12, 2021, shows the couple’s possessions thrown into the back of a tight space.
Moab PD

Moab police investigate the van after a 911 call about a domestic incident brought officers into contact with Laundrie and Petito.
