Technically. But he didn’t work on it? Drive it? Live in it? Put time and money into it? You can acknowledge this gray area without thinking he’s innocent or didn’t do anything wrong.

Now that Gabby is dead, the van goes to next of kin unless she has a will or other stipulation that states otherwise.

But before she was so declared, it was nebulous. Family did not demand van back— they may not even have known it was legally hers. They lived together and shared stuff so it was not easy to know what was whose. BL drove it most all of the time. She was not comfortable with it. A lot of reasons why it might be in her name rather than theirs

One does have to wonder how long they continue this....
I hope he is found. However, at some point resources will indeed be scaled back unless they are finding signs he is actively moving around within the reserve. JMO

I still can't fathom that there's any way he can still be alive in there. Not with everything I've read about the conditions, weather, predators, navigability etc. No way!

To me, if they're looking in Carlton Reserve, they're looking for a body.

If they're looking elsewhere, there's a chance he's still alive.

MOO

I would not have accurate memory about my neighbors’ activities over a period of time. Next day, maybe.
It was a new camper top and the man was outside working in the yard. I think that is fairly normal thing to notice when the neighbors get something new that is large like that. Then if he saw them all get in it and leave and not return for several days, that is something maybe they take note of and it isn't odd. If it was just the daily coming and goings of someone, I agree not likely to remember it at all, but a new camper top and they are gone all weekend. I'd like think oh they probably went to test out the new camper top for Labor Day. I think it would stand out still once they are on the news and Gabby is reported missing. It was just a week prior that he would have seen them taking the new camper out.

Yes, we can confirm Gabby and Brian were in Merry Piglets. We have not deleted any comments or messages on social media. The screen shots you see were direct messages to our account and not public. We have already notified the FBI and they are aware. We are letting them do their jobs and we are respecting Gabby's family and have nothing further to comment.
(I know perfectly well that I will lose this link in about 5 minutes and it will come up endlessly in the days ahead and need to be re-verified.. )

what goes on the gravestone is up to the family. ..they pay for that. .
But legally, as far as death certificates and other legal papers and issues, date of death is date coroner actually examines?

OH, I remember really well. hahaha
Me too! Been here 25 years and I know what’s going on with everyone in this culdesac.

cool. So when my husband drives off in my car without explicit permission he’ll be arrested
As pointed out...in the post you quoted...they were not married.

Thinking about her (total speculation on my part here!) potentially working on the video alone in the hotel, after a huge public fight that got physical & the police were involved, is so sad to me. One other poster mentioned in an earlier thread (I forget who, I'm sorry) that perhaps they both were made sentimental by this montage of good times. Maybe that contributed to his returning to her after the flight home/possible break-up--the nostalgia factor, or that he saw she had the talent to make it work as a travelgrammer, etc. (of course the plan may have always been to return to her in Aug--it's really not clear to me at this point). JMO
I also read on WS that she didn’t always post in real time. She would create content and perhaps schedule a posting for a later date.

Plus, she reportedly apologized for his behavior....that probably really angered him. jmo
Yep. If that is so, it might have been the trigger -- no one treats me that way, b----, especially not you.

I agree. That's a lot of manpower and $$$$. They keep coming back for a reason. JMO
The best way to know is to follow their scanner chatter. That's how in the Christopher Dorner case that I was sure that he hadn't left the Big Bear area like a lot of people surmised.

Not sure if this has been posted (I can’t keep up) but the Merry Piglets restaurant where a witness reported seeing Brian in an argument with the staff has posted on their Facebook page to confirm that Gabby and Brian were there

The Merry Piglets Mexican Grill
Ita.
The restaurant staff has confirmed it was Gabby and Brian and that there was an altercation.
Extremely disturbing in the light of what we now know.
MOO.

so this would be the same day that gabby's mom received the text about her grandpa "stan" - wonder what time that text was received (if it was after 1pm when they were apparently spotted)

Ok you’re right. Him putting money, time, effort, living in it, driving it, etc is completely irrelevant.
In terms of who the legal owner of the vehicle was, yes (for whatever that information is worth).

There's no telling what BL may have told his parents re why Gabby is not back home -- She met someone and left me, I'm hurting; she wants some time alone out there, she expects me to return to pick her up next week, and I got homesick, blah-de-blah-de-blah.

Yes, this is what I think happened. He got his parents' sympathy with a sob story about the painful breakup, and probably threw in, either made-up or genuine, negative comments that GP may have made about them. They haven't seemed like the nicest people so far, so she could have made valid observations about them to him, and he might have told them. That could explain their coldness.
