so this would be the same day that gabby's mom received the text about her grandpa "stan" - wonder what time that text was received (if it was after 1pm when they were apparently spotted)
My head is swimming with bits of facts right now..
Someone needs to rewrite the TL again.

The replies tho'!
Of course. People on Twitter know better than investigators, who, you know, actually have information to work with, and do this for a living.

It had not been reported as a stolen vehicle.

JMO, but if a person is reported as missing and someone else is in the car registered to that missing person, it seems like there's probable cause to believe the vehicle is stolen--even if the charges do not stick. It is something to bring him in on and to hold him for 30 days without charges in FL, as long as a judge agrees to probable cause at the first appearance and gives a high enough bail. His family probably could have made the bail, but still...

There is no evidence that we know of that points to him murdering her.
Wait a minute. There are pictures of the camper, that BOTH of them are living in, right next to the body dump site. So at one point, BL was there with GP, in that van.
That van was seen there right after GP STOPPED communication with friends and family. Then BL drove that van away, and returned home , alone, without GP.> Who was already 'missing' in terms of communication and social media.
And then BL refused to answer any questions or even to communicate with her family.

I think that is ample evidence for some more warrants. Like an arrest warrant for starters.

All I can think of is the video where she stated she was afraid he'd leave her out there, and take her phone and the van.
Seems that's exactly what he did.
Makes me sick!

MOO

JB said he thinks that they may have made an agreement with FAUX wasn't sure, but I think WFLA reporter asked and they declined. He said they would try again. jmo
Who is FAUX?

cool. So when my husband drives off in my car without explicit permission he’ll be arrested

No. No one who drives off in your car would be arrested for doing so unless you report it stolen. But unless your state law states differently ( such as community property states) , a spouse certainly can be arrested for taking a car without permission if it’s reported stolen and charges filed. Happens all the time with battling married couples especially in the divorce process.

There is so far no evidence that *proves* he murdered her, but ALL the evidence *points* to it.

He had motive and opportunity and then he stole her van, leaving her thousands of miles away. So tell me what I'm missing.

What I don't understand is how I keep reading that he's not a suspect in a crime, yet the whole family home is considered a crime scene. How is that possible?

Is it known how close that little wooden bridge over Spread Creek is in relation to where the van was seen parked?

yes, i agree i think he's dead...and then i don't. . . .i go back and forth constantly on this. IF he was alive...wouldn't they search through the night too?

VERY good point! That sense of urgency would compel them to continue their search through the night if they thought there was a chance of finding him alive still.

Does anyone with any SAR knowledge or experience have any input on the fact they're only searching the Reserve during daylight hours!?

Interesting that the date of her death is September 19, 2021.

I think this is standard practice. If I remember correctly, Sierrah Joughin's date of death was listed on when she was found because the actual date of death was uncertain.

I know but camping is a family thing my daughter and her friends have camped with us...almost every time. We started when our daughter was a year old and now she is mid thirties. typing this sounds weird but RVing brings us together.

What about the fake texts...? nothing explains those IMO unless he has multiple personality disorder... Might work. I think several personalities in one body is still responsibe

that would be if you feel it was premeditated then possible that he flew back to kill her a couple of days later ... but Im in the camp that seems their arguments were spontaneous so maybe crossing the line on that last argument...was also
Fake texts are an attempt by a killer to buy time- to throw off LE/family into thinking that the victim willingly went somewhere to be off by themselves alone. In his case, it did seem to work for a few days/weeks. There was a young businessman in Southern California by the name of Chris Smith. He was murdered by his business partner Ed Shin. Shin texted Smith's family for months/years leading them to believe that the victim was off sailing around the world.

But do investigators watch CSI ? ;)

Ita.
The restaurant staff has confirmed it was Gabby and Brian and that there was an altercation.
Extremely disturbing in the light of what we now know.
MOO.

poor gabby was clearly with a man who had major anger issues. I’m sure she tried to keep him calm so often and these public outbursts must have been so painful for her. I feel so badly for her and that last day she had with him. I hope she’s truly at peace now.

Of course not--the owner is dead.

When police find the car of a murder victim is being driven by someone---they don't ignore that just because the victim hadn't reported it stolen. They detain the driver to investigate further.

But legally, as far as death certificates and other legal papers and issues, date of death is date coroner actually examines?
yes....The date of death is the ink the medical person who declared her dead (and it may be an EMS worker who notes time she was found or the actual medical person who verifies it. you certify that the person is deceased and then note the time. ta it's standard. no one who found her really knows when she died.time wise. . .

Date of death is when it is officially pronounced by the ME or the Coroner. They couldn't have pronounced it any sooner, because they didn't get to her until the 19th.
Yes, this is what I posted.

That's not how self defense works. You can only use the same amount of force used against you. So if someone shoves you, you can shove back to get them away. You cannot murder them.

Wouldn't that depend on the manner of death? For example, if it is blunt force trauma (a hit on the head) there may be the possibility that Gabby died from being shoved, falling down, and hitting her head.

Absolutely not saying that this is what happened, but just picturing what a defense team might come up with (if BL is caught, charged, and goes to trial).
