Is it known how close that little wooden bridge over Spread Creek is in relation to where the van was seen parked?

it wasn’t really a bridge, just a few logs perpendicular to a small ravine. It was right behind where the van was parked. It can be seen I the Bethunes video.

Did the neighbors see him after the three day trip with his parents?

Is it possible that initially, he was at the Reserve - with his backpack… he goes in and leaves his cell phone there.

Someone drives the mustang over and parks it at the Reserve.

They leave supplies, money, passport, new phone, etc… the car is picked up a day or two later, after he’s had a chance to grab everything - and he’s already off to another location…?
This is what I think happened. The Mustang was his cache. His parents didn't want to retrieve the Mustang "in case he needed it". Heck, if he needed a ride, he could call or go down the road a bit to get a signal; he wouldn't require a car. But, he would need the car if it was full of groceries, fuel, etc.

I forgot about this site. Forgive me. Day late. Dollar short. I've been stuck on YouTube and Twitter. So many differing opinions.

Technically. But he didn’t work on it? Drive it? Live in it? Put time and money into it? You can acknowledge this gray area without thinking he’s innocent or didn’t do anything wrong.
I don’t think it’s gray. Even if you work on the van, wash the van, put gas in the van, if you show up driving the van that is legally registered to a person who is found murdered, you’ve got some major ‘splashing to do.

I think the argument began in the front of the van and ultimately escalated to outside the van. If you look at the way the van is haphazardly parked, it looks like the driver just pulled over and didn't try to park it properly. JMO

What difference would it make if BL owned it or her daddy, or whoever?
Now that Gabby is dead, the van goes to next of kin which are parents, unless she stipulated otherwise in will or whatever state of FL recognized as such.
If it were in BL’s —the title, he would get the van when LE releases it. If it were GP’s father’s van , he could have demanded it immediately, at any time, when LE released it, and it would be released to him now.

I know but camping is a family thing my daughter and her friends have camped with us...almost every time. We started when our daughter was a year old and now she is mid thirties. typing this sounds weird but RVing brings us together.

What about the fake texts...? nothing explains those IMO unless he has multiple personality disorder... Might work. I think several personalities in one body is still responsibe

that would be if you feel it was premeditated then possible that he flew back to kill her a couple of days later ... but Im in the camp that seems their arguments were spontaneous so maybe crossing the line on that last argument...was also

I saw this interview and they said that the camper and the camping trip happened about a week after he returned home on Sept 1 and before Gabby's parents reported her missing on the 11th. Where I am confused in the interview is if the camper was purchased after the first and if Brian was seen after this trip.

I am also not understanding this trip home in the middle of their trip. I can't find anything online about this flight home he had and why.

HERE IS LINK CONFIRMING RESTAURANT VISIT on 27th.

Yes, we can confirm Gabby and Brian were in Merry Piglets. We have not deleted any comments or messages on social media. The screen shots you see were direct messages to our account and not public. We have already notified the FBI and they are aware. We are letting them do their jobs and we are respecting Gabby's family and have nothing further to comment.
(I know perfectly well that I will lose this link in about 5 minutes and it will come up endlessly in the days ahead and need to be re-verified.. )

I'm just catching up on this Merry Piglet's situation now. Maybe that's why Brian REALLY didn't want to go back to Jackson Hole. IMO

All this talk of lawyering up makes me hope that the Petito family themselves will secure an attorney to start working on a civil case to secure compensation for the horrific, irreparable loss they have sustained.

Amateur opinion and speculation

Doesn't matter whether you are married or not.

In Australia assets become shared after a certain amount of time living together.

There are good reasons behind it, as many times in the past, one half of the marriage or defacto relationship ended up with nothing, usually the female. Some after many years of contributing to expenses and doing unpaid work.

Not in the United States. And this is not a married couple.

Yes, it was about 5-10 metres behind the van and to the left. It could be seen on the YouTuber's footage (Red, White and Bethune). You can view it in the approved videos added by the Mods at the start of this thread.
Thank you. This seems like a significant detail to me. The bridge offered an easy route from the van to where GP was found. Is that because they were camping there and something happened leading to her death? Or was it an easy route to carry her body?

The Merry Piglets incident on 8/27 really did it for me. I believe he killed her later that day. Fits with the timeline of the witnesses who saw the van later that day, and the strange text re: Stan.
I need to see the TL again for 27, 28 and 29... my brain is scrambled right now.
BUT it's a definite possibility..if not wholly likely.
Other possibility is that it was actually an anagram SOS and she meant to send it to somebody else to alert them to her trouble?
I'm not sure she actually died on that day but was possibly seriously injured? Then left to die?

Im going to step away here. I really can't handle the victim blaming self defense theories here. I hope you all have a great night. RIP Gabby. You didnt deserve the end you had.
I’m going with you.

Now that Gabby is dead, the van goes to next of kin unless she has a will or other stipulation that states otherwise.

But before she was so declared, it was nebulous. Family did not demand van back— they may not even have known it was legally hers. They lived together and shared stuff so it was not easy to know what was whose. BL drove it most all of the time. She was not comfortable with it. A lot of reasons why it might be in her name rather than theirs
Um, Gabby's family knew it was registered in her name. Her father has mentioned it in more than one interview and said he felt it was "stolen" from her. Also Gabby knew it was only registered to her, and so did BL - they both told the Utah police. So even though she didn't feel comfortable driving it, it was still her van.

We don't know what her family said about it to BL's family. So we can't assume they didn't care or didn't demand it back. In fact, it's been reported the Laundrie parents never answered their messages. So they didn't know BL came back alone in the van without Gabby, so heck yes they might have some questions about the van!

The Florida cops were mamby-pamby about the van because BL drove it and used it, but the fact is he was never Gabby's "next of kin" and after her death he wouldn't inherit it. They were only engaged, not married.

VERY good point! That sense of urgency would compel them to continue their search through the night if they thought there was a chance of finding him alive still.

Does anyone with any SAR knowledge or experience have any input on the fact they're only searching the Reserve during daylight hours!?

I don't know that it's all that urgent. Yes, he's likely a killer, but he's probably not a threat to society in general.

I'm really not sure what type of evidence people think you need in a murder case. Most murders are not captured on CCTV to be played for a jury. Most cases are circumstantial. Direct evidence, like eye witness testimony, is notoriously unreliable. All the CSI-style scientific evidence is circumstantial.

  • #677
Police terminology. They call them a "Person of Interest" until they officially name them a suspect when they arrest them I think...
Would they not announce him as missing and wanted for murder, if they had the evidence?

  • #678
If the van was in an accident while BL was driving, GP could also be sued, regardless if she was there or not, because she is the owner of the van. This is not about sweat equity. This is not about sharing or relationships. If the vehicle was not paid off and the payments were not paid on time, GP is responsible for that not BP. Everyone who says otherwise has never been asked to co-sign anything.

People are saying A LOT of things that aren’t true.
Not sure if you consider Brian helping her get a job one of those less-than-truths. In any case I agree with you. A lot of non-facts being presented as facts all around.

The ground search for Brian Laundrie has been halted for the evening. Nothing found.

We will be back out Thursday, similar operation.

As I always do , I’d like your thoughts on where and when or if he will be and will be found.
Earlier (few days ago) I was of the opinion he would be found suicided from a tree. My opinion has now changed. looking forward to your thoughts. TIA
