I think that he is an immature young man who has never had to make his own way. First his parents looked after him and then he expected Gabby to make his life easy.Where did all this money come from. Money for the van. Money for the trip. Money for the hotel. Money for plane ticket home. I feel like gabby put a lot of money into this. Probably put herself in debt. She was focused on something and her attention wasn’t on Brian. Who is away from his mommy and now his girlfriend isn’t giving him the attention he wants and he snapped. He’s a narcissist everyone’s life has to revolve around him. Just like how he made her the bad guy during the police stop he probably did the same when he told his parents what happened.
It could be that he never had any online accounts pre-Gabby. I know people who don't have internet and say the never will, People in their 20s and 30s. It happens, it's just oddI agree and I find it very odd that BL has such a light footprint online, in general. He's featured in Gabby's social media a lot, but there's nothing that I could find from local papers reporting on his role in the school play, or in a photo of kids at school... no mentions of him in activities lists posted by parents, no photos of him other than ones during the "Gabby era". It's just weird. What did he do all those years to maintain such a low profile? I'm pretty privacy conscious and my online footprint is about 50xs his, even though I make conscious efforts to avoid having my name mentioned in the press (e.g., I don't answer journalists' questions about mundane things because I don't want to be quoted). It's almost like there's some pre-Gabby background that got scrubbed from the internet by one of those 'reputation defender' services.
Good point! He and his parents have gone to great lengths for him to take his life. And his parents if not in legal trouble for their actions will forever be looked upon with derision.I want to know if there was any fury of calls between BL and Parents after 2PM 8/27.....
I also would like to know if the bike ride with mom was after the weekend camping trip... seems like not many days between getting home and going camping again.
I don't think he would do all this ...to not be caught and then to commit suicide....I first thought well he is in Costa Rica by now but changed cause I think he needs his parents......and they would keep him closer...
And my last guess is..... they slept with one eye open when he got home on Sept 1.
Hello Websleuthers,
It's been a while, but this Petito case seems so similar to other mysteriously dead/murdered women with an unstable male partner that it struck a chord, like that the endless Pistorius trial and a few cases I followed - Heyo and nice to be here again!
I’m just posting about this latest Merry Piglet restaurant incident and the couple who have witness accounts. It appears to be one of the latest aggressive outburst incidents witnessed before Petito died. Therefore it may be important to analyze to go into ‘state of mind’.
From the Fox News article: “Angelo, a photographer, said she couldn’t overhear the conversation but that she believed Laundrie was arguing with staff over the bill or about money. She described his body language as "aggressive" and said he left and returned about four times.
[On Nina Angelo’s boyfriend Matthew England]: “England also provided a credit card statement showing he spent $60.88 at the restaurant Aug. 27.”
“Angelo said it did not appear that Laundrie was on drugs, and he was "not screaming." But he was behaving aggressively with the restaurant staff, a waitress, a hostess and the manager – all women.”

Geez… I didn’t realize the restaurant sighting was so close to the time the Behune family saw the van. In theory, he could have lost it on Gabby after that restaurant situation happened and she could have been dead or dying in the back of the van when the Behune’s drove by, thus necessitating him to quickly shut the back door when he heard them coming. MOO.
I feel that’s exactly what transpired..after another instance of aggression came on (one prior being the fight le were called for) him hitting, slapping, pushing away whatever he does - it turned to taking her life this time.
Separately I saw in msm a neighbor reporting BL family bought a “shell” camper. They then said about a week and a half after BL came back with the Van, him and his parents packed the camper and went away for the weekend..that would be very close to when GP family reported her missing, however still BEFORE they reported her missing. Any thoughts that weekend trip was back to GP body to clean any possible evidence left behind or stage it so it appeared anything but being done by BL The camper was new to them so they felt confident it would maintain their cover in doing so. Then back home - I think that would take more than a 2 day weekend but they could have gone and back in a weekend if they left early Friday.
It is a great resource. One thing I hated to see was the blurb about BL possibly did go off on his own and leave GP alone in the van because that gives him an out. If he did go off alone I’d bet he took her phone.Found this interactive map/timeline that seems to line up with most (if not all) of the events we have in our pinned posts here. Just a neat little resource.
Yup. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he immediately called mommy right after the murder.I think that he is an immature young man who has never had to make his own way. First his parents looked after him and then he expected Gabby to make his life easy.
I saw him today on Fox and I thought it was a very disturbing interview. I know his tragic loss but I don't think he was appropriate
The only thing I know is that BL'S family called LE and wanted to talk to them. They reported he had left and had not come back. Apparently it had been 3 or 4 days since they'd seen him. I don't know if that's considered official. I'm assuming that's when FBI took the lead.
Yes I definitely believe a new show featuring them is coming up. John was very passionate and angry talking about it. I saw both of his interviews today on Fox and CNN.
The tip segments are right before and after commercials, probably not technically part of the show itself. I recorded it for the specific reason to see about the case.
As far as we know, no one saw him after that "camping trip."I think they said the family left on the very same day Gabby was reporter missing. 9-11-21. Which makes me change my mind about the chances of him having committed suicide. That makes me think his parents, indeed, help him disappear.
At this point this has happened. We don't know what would've happened had they stopped.exactly... maybe a good thing they kept driving
There's not a whole pile to analyse there, unfortunately.Hello Websleuthers,

Yes. Look what she made me do. I bet mommy professed to like her, but undermined her in private to him.Yup. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he immediately called mommy right after the murder.

That big hat was Gabby's. She posted it in her last IG postIt is a great resource. One thing I hated to see was the blurb about BL possibly did go off on his own and leave GP alone in the van because that gives him an out. If he did go off alone I’d bet he took her phone.
If those are her flip flops outside the van and she hid when the Red, White & Bethune family went by I can see why since she was alone and didn’t want anyone to stop and realize she was there alone. Females have to be careful.
That sighting at the restaurant on the 27th @1:00pm puts a whole new light on things since I felt pretty sure he killed her on the 26th then went hiking. Either way, I don’t believe he would have left his hat on the dash. He was very concerned about protecting his bald head.
