What if BL’s parents reported the fraud on *their* cards? Pure speculation here, but didn’t they JUST visit a lawyer?

“We don’t know where he is, but he has been spending our money!” - and so on.

I’m aware it says Aug 30th-Sept 1st though… Maybe not.
The indictment was handed down out of Wyoming, and as such, has to be related to Gabby.

FYI, according to the government Fuel Economy website, gas would be a little more than $300 from Jackson Hole to North Port. What the heck did this man buy?
Food, drink, car may have needed oil, tolls

It’s been deleted.

So from the attachments it looks like the arrest warrant is for using Gabby's credit cards and bank accounts after she was probably dead, while he was fleeing WY in her van, from August 29-30.

So he had no money and was stealing hers. Wonder what his funding source is now? *SOMEONE* is helping him.

IMO

For someone who may have felt remorse, using her cc to escape isn’t compelling. I mean, the guy wasn’t hysterical. He made some significant decisions. What’s odd is that they aren’t smart if he was hoping to cover it up. He knows cc can be traced. I’m really curious what he planned to do next
There's no way this goon had a plan. Using her card and driving the van back is INSANE (and not in the legal definition).

That van gets up to 27MPG on the highway. 2400 miles. $3/gallon.

About $270.

Very interested to know what the other $700+ dollars were spent on. If he bought supplies to help him go on the run (like camping gear/burner phones/etc) on her card while driving across the country in his murdered girlfriends van, he better hope his parents hooked him up with a good lawyer.

It might if you are driving a gas guzzler! and being lax about what you eat, need to pay tolls, etc. I think it's conceivable. Maybe prepaid phone(s)/calling cards in there as well? Just speculating of course.
He's not driving a gas guzzlers. Those things get 27 highway. Definitely not gas money MOO

Can’t like this enough...

This is why I’ve been saying all along this dude is dangerous. His parents were and are probably tight lipped because they were threatened. And FBI may have told them to stay quiet because they were at risk.

Wow...he bought something(s) expensive (at least by my standards) in that 24 hour period....wish we knew what he purchased on Gabby's card....
Perhaps it was the camper the neighbor's noticed. I can't remember what those dates were. jmo

On Sept 15, Gray Hughes got a tip about the use of Gabby's credit card and he talked about it on his show. If you want to listen, go here to about 59:45 to hear details

Sounds like, based on the info available, he used her or her parents cards after her death. I would be willing to bet the charges were related to gas/food/supplies to get home from WY to FL.

JMO.
and possibly squirrelling away supplies/food/clothes/travel tickets (??) for his eventual "disappearance."

Two accounts. He just cleaned out what he could. What a piece.

This article states:

"The restaurant confirmed on Instagram that Laundrie and Petito had indeed visited the establishment on August 27. "

However, is that considered a true confirmation if it's not from law enforcement authorities?

If management/owners showed us video of the couple, or payment by check or card with their name on it, yes I could see that as confirmation.

But not if it's just their word. People are frequently misidentified.

It's fascinating that this consciousness of rewards being useful sometimes has seemingly arisen in various locations today.
If BL was still in the swamp would it be useful?
Why today?

Interesting question.

This is something to arrest him on, and I'm sure allows for more resources to be devoted to this. It's only the beginning, but it's a huge step.
Absolutely. I was thinking the whole van ownership thing might play into something they would charge him with just to get their hands on him, but this seems to be much better, much clearer in terms of unquestionably wrongdoing. (Unless someone would like to claim that he had every right to use her cards because they were a couple, which I reeeeeeally hope we don't see here.)

He used her credit card and racked up 1k in charges? Did I read that correctly?

$1000 OR MORE
Over two accounts (quite possibly checking + savings)

A gun…and phones to throw

BL must have burned out most of his brain cells doing I-don't-know-what. He has made one brainless move after another. Nothing left to do but turn himself in.
