Thank you.

The topic will come up again and again here - I hope both of us still stand ready to inform people about this. A person can't just check themselves into a hospital and avoid criminal prosecution...

This is unrelated to your post but I know I brought up that BL's lawyer should have gotten him into a hospital early on but I want to clarify I meant if there was evidence of mental illness, I think a good defense lawyer would immediately try to get their client evaluated for their own safety and for the safety of others. If BL was really hearing voices and could be said to be having some type of episode, you'd want to immediately get your client help AND establish proof of any mental issues that could come up later. It definitely wouldn't be to hide your client or evade responsibility. It would be just to try to help your client as best as you can while also considering what your client's defense may be (if true) to any later charges.

I hope my theories didn't contribute to any misunderstandings!

Due to personal reasons I’ve been unable to be here for months, however when I saw this case on the news I had to return. I’ve read most of the threads and would like to thank everyone for all your compassion and hard work, and especially the mods and Tiff in particular who has been so gracious in the way she’s kept order in the fastest running threads I’ve ever seen. This case is beyond heartbreaking. What a waste of a beautiful young life.

An interesting interview with Chief Medical Examiner, Dr William Morrone.

The body will probably be close to mummification unless it was under the ground and wrapped. If you assume that the body was exposed, the right temperature and humidity existed for rapid decay through the first 3 stages of decomposition.

A preliminary autopsy is to identify the remains and begin the paperwork for prosecution. It also means there’s going to be a second autopsy.

The second autopsy may involve federal experts and FBI resources. It might take place at the closest university that has a medical school, FBI Headquarters in Quantico, VA or the nearest army/air force base. The FBI might want forensic anthropologists and entomologists because of insect involvement, and a toxicology report will also need to be obtained.

Cause of death is discussed at 6:49. Some of the most important facts may not be known until the matter goes to court.

If Gabby’s body goes to an army base or Quantico, the family might have to wait 7-10 days before they can bring her home.

A second autopsy?! Unless it’s already been done I don’t see how that’s even a possibility here. The family set the funeral date for this weekend so her body is probably already in transit to NY if not already here. /JMO

Whoah BBM

The 23-year-old asked Jalovec to drop him off at the gate of the remote campground, which has a single dirt road that extends miles to various camping sites in the area; at 6:30 p.m. MST in August, there would have still been some daylight to see into the camping area. Jalovec responded saying she could drive him inside, which is when he tried to "get out of the moving car," she said.

Brian Laundrie manhunt: Woman in Wyoming says she picked him up hitchhiking

Wonder what his plan was that he seemed set on going to Jackson

The coroner did say homicide, aka Gabby was murdered.

Which video are you referring to ?
There are a few out there in msm.
Did you have a link ?
Thanks in advance.

Homicide doesn't always mean murder.

(But she was probably murdered.)

In FL when it's so hot a lot of homeless go into the libraries for the air conditioning. I wonder if that was a planned way for the parents to communicate with BL. He could go in disguised and leave notes in a certain predetermined section and they could drop money? This is very doable IMO.
bbm
Hmmmm, if so, then I would assume he wouldn't be too far from the library.

Manatee county sheriff has been flying over this area for like 30 min. North of where they’ve been searching for BL

I really thought the parents would have been polygraphed by now.
This kid is very impulsive. Doesn't seem to have impulse control or any coping mechanisms when he gets frustrated.
Has he ever faced repercussions/consequences for outbursts? And where did he learn that it is acceptable to hit/slap your partner?
Probably at home.
This seems to be his first serious relationship? I was surprised to hear he had already proposed to Gabby while not having a job/career/education plan of his own. And his mother was reportedly overjoyed when she heard about the proposal. I bet she felt relief knowing that her troubled son finally found someone special who could tolerate him. Her son getting married young, not pursuing education, living in her home is the best outcome she had ever hoped for.
Feelin' a little salty today...
The mother must not have cared who he married, just that he married, because her actions show no attachment, what-so-ever to Gabby...Or concern or care for Gabby's family. Seems Gabby was nothing more than a raw piece of meat, for their mess of a son.

Yes. Clean shaven with a hat, he looks like a different person. And we're used to seeing him in T-shirt and shorts. Add a jacket and long pants for the cooler weather which will be coming, he may be difficult to notice.
If this drags on I think his best disguise would be to put on a bunch of weight.

NO. A preliminary autopsy is one in which toxicology results (and possible other tests) haven't yet come back.

I am going to offer a left field possibility. What if (sorry to go here), when he returned home, he acquired his parents cards either with or without permission. He took them with him when he went back. IF and this is a big IF, this is the scenario, could they have had to state he did this without permission, which makes it a crime in an attempt to show (true or not) they have not been helping him.

I know it’s out there from the simplest answer of these being Gabby’s cards, but with her inability to order pizza….

I hope the parents are not trying to communicate with Brian through weird things like going to the library and buying milk.

Eric Rudolph, the Atlanta Olympic bomber, hid in the Appalachian mountains for 5 years, it is suspected he had some help, he also stole and likely did some nightime dumpster diving too.
Eric Rudolph Slept Here

Dumpster diving is how he finally got caught

Cash wasn't specifically mentioned, but it would be hard to hit $1,000 or more without doing a few cash withdrawals in the couple of days listed in the warrant.
I guess, unless he bought things on the internet. My point is that he might have gotten cash and he ALSO might have bought things like food and gas.

The warrant states that a personal identification number was used.
This could be for a phone and not just for a credit card.

I might believe it if someone witnessed his abilities (such as someone who camped or hiked with him) but I don't believe anything that he has said. Sounds like a loser making up stories to try to impress someone.

might be true or he might have been watching survivor shows in TV, IMHO

That’s a good theory, but I still think he used Gabby’s cards. I’m thinking she wasn’t able to order pizza while in the hotel because he had her cards.

I actually think they might have gone in there to email BL. They might have assumed an email from a library would be hard to trace.

Interesting. Perhaps I took the description too literally. I thought they weren't moving at all :)
If they weren't reading, looking at books or using a library computer, i didn't think they would use their phones.

She says her bible fell in his lap and he picked it up and put it back on the dash...

Well, God speaks in mysterious ways. :D

Brian could have repented right there, but chose not to. Shame.

That sounds like he used her Pin on a debit card, but "obtain things of value" could be cash or it could be, for instance, gas. I believe do have to use a pin to get cash at an ATM or maybe even for cash back. I don't really know because I haven't done that for years. I don't deal in cash ever. It could also be that he didn't need to use a pin to get gas, but he did need to use it to get cash from an ATM. IDK.
I have to wonder if he used her card at his last stop in Florida before getting home, to buy this Venice sticker that showed up on the car in the NPPD photos. Like a trophy.
