YEs, but whatever convinced the other 11 is more like to convince 12 on another jury.
True. But the defense often benefits from a 2nd trial in a different way from the prosecution. So what looks like a slam dunk statistically, sometimes isn't.

yeah. Point being in a decent size backpack it would be surely possible to pack enough food for a relatively long time... longer if one's metabolism allows. And, for the record, I'm not sponsored by Mountain House, I simply chose one brand as an example. How big was/is the backpack?
Yep. I was simply pointing out that the thought that food was the problem might not be accurate. The guy is said to be an REI shopper... who has one of the largest selections of that type of stuff. And, though I asked the question previously, I have no idea if he is/was a so-called "prepper".I have (among other things) a 1lb bag of rice and a propane camping stove in my bug out bag. Those two things alone (along with collecting rainwater or being by a stream) can keep me alive for up to a month. And they would both easily fit in a child’s school bag, much less a large camping pack. So I agree, it’s definitely possible to stay alive for a while on minimal food.
Up against the wildlife, however, that’s a different story.
MOO: I didn't claimed that her dad went to the house-I was careful to NOT say that- I only stated that the incident involved him. And it did. And I think it gives credence to a theory as to why the family never responded and immediately retained an attorney, of course we don't know what it was exactly and depending on what is buried in the redactions, I am fine being completely wrong. But it has not ever been debunked, "something" happened on the 10th and twice on the 11th AND on the 11th the missing person's report came out.BBM. This contradicts that he went to the home.

I think they handled it well actually.
It is being investigated.
There were some links posted earlier today with discussions by alleged experts stating there may have been confusion regarding which message they received first.
I think we have to await the outcome of that investigation.
They will have all the facts, they will make recommendations based upon their factual acquisition, hopefully and if things need to change they may well.
Agreed. They are pretty slick. They have a lot of tricks up their sleeves, and a lot of smart people. BL, your name is Mud.I believe the last text message on the 30th will be BL's undoing. He had to be on the road on the 30th in order to make it back to Florida by September 1st. So where ever he was will be located at the tower it pinged off of.
FBI probably know this already since they established his timeline and how he was using her debit card after her death. If BL ever see's the inside of a courtroom, I think we will all be shocked by what the FBI has known that we don't.
And, you know, actively evading law enforcement (and everyone else who's looking for you).I have (among other things) a 1lb bag of rice and a propane camping stove in my bug out bag. And not telling her parents.I think her not telling LE that Brian slapped her and hit her repeatedly is evidence that she covered for him.
So sorry to hear, SuziQ, that you lost your nephew. SMH.It wasn't for my nephew. He was found almost a week after he died. Physically the ME couldn't narrow down the date. The date of death was determined by the date of the newspaper he was reading when he died. The fact he went to work that day. And the fact he didn't go to work in the days after.
Mountain House, as I stated, was simply an example. There are many variations. These *types* of things are created for days/weeks worth of backpacking. No, it's not forever.Mountain House is very bulky. You can pop the seal, roll the air out and reseal to save some space as long as you are using them within 30 days or so. Mre's are bulkier and heavier, even field stripped.
Mountain House is very salty and creates an even bigger need for water to drink as well as water to boil and reconstitute. Eating mre's only by now he would be plugged up tighter than a cork in a bottle.
A life straw is only good for getting a drink unless you pull mouthful after mouthful and spit it into your container. They are also really geared for moving water or debris free springs....they plug with debris easily and that swamp water is nasty. he would need clean water to clean/rinse it with. A pump filter or gravity filter would be best when cooking/camping but take up even more space.
In the time he has been gone, he would have expended any food supplies that fit in a single backpack.
All my humble opinion.
