BL"... she's trying to start up like her own little website blog and everything, so I gave her time...".

Why does he need to "give her time?" He seems that he is entitled to choose what they do when they do it, and on his time schedule. I think he considers himself gracious and giving that he would allow her to have time. It also bothers me that he can not do something seemingly minor for GP, like keep his feet clean.

BL's parents seem to cater to him. BL thinks the world should cater to him; as if everybody owes him something.
Yes! This really stood out to me too ~ as if he were sacrificing something for her ~ 'giving her time'. In the meantime, hello, she's working to put her content together for the vlog endeavor that is supposedly going to sustain their finances to continue on his dream of camping/outdoorsmanship life style. In her van!
I am so sad that LE didn't have enough background info on these two to realize that he was the wolf in sheep's clothing. And they were led to believe he was the victim.

I've wondered if he has Life Straws. I have friends that keep them in their backpacks when they go hiking. One Life Straw can filter something like 700 gallons of water.
Thank you. That’s what I was trying to remember. Life Straws. Thank you!

Does calling police, concerned for his daughters well being constitute an 'incident'?
Could be. We don't know. Why do you think the report of the "incident" is so heavily redacted?

IMO - too cowardly to commit suicide

MOO: I didn't claimed that her dad went to the house-I was careful to NOT say that- I only stated that the incident involved him. And it did. And I think it gives credence to a theory as to why the family never responded and immediately retained an attorney, of course we don't know what it was exactly and depending on what is buried in the redactions, I am fine being completely wrong. But it has not ever been debunked, "something" happened on the 10th and twice on the 11th AND on the 11th the missing person's report came out.

No. GP's dad was not the reason why the family never responded and got an attorney on behalf of BL!!! GP's dad's own attorney has stated her dad was across on the other side of Florida and simply was inquiring about his daughter with police and BL's family. This matter has been put to rest.

I have (among other things) a 1lb bag of rice and a propane camping stove in my bug out bag. Those two things alone (along with collecting rainwater or being by a stream) can keep me alive for up to a month. And they would both easily fit in a child’s school bag, much less a large camping pack. So I agree, it’s definitely possible to stay alive for a while on minimal food.

Up against the wildlife, however, that’s a different story.

I guess. But 1 lb of dry rice has only about 1200-1400 calories. For a month? And it requires alot of water to cook. Not sure BL is a survivalist anyway based on just that one acct about the mountains.

The Petito's attorney begged the Laundries to get in touch with the Petito's

If they are not taking advice from their attorney, they are probably taking advice from their son.

Edit: I read that quote backwards. However, I still believe BL's wishes were the main reason they refused to contact GP family.

Just listened to Dog on YT. I was all prepared not to like him, but I found him very reasonable.

I wish we had some video evidence whether Brian came home after the family camping trip. I just fear the longer this goes on, the more chance that justice wont be served. More days on the run, farther he can be.

Does anybody think that BL planned this (killing Gabby on the road trip) all along with the weird books and films, etc... he was into?
No, I think he had an "episode" that has been referred to, and snapped. This is a very sad case all around.

Sorry if someone has already posted this, I'm just catching up. Ol' Dog seems to think he might be in the Appalachian's. Guess time will tell.

Amateur opinion and speculation

I cannot understand why the feds cannot find him- Is he a freakin' genius, outsmarting an entire FBI? looks like it---who knows where he is----Are his parents helping him while he is on the run? and if so, you would think the Feds would have them under surveillance and have their phones tapped ----I just don't understand this.

Mountain House, as I stated, was simply an example. There are many variations. These *types* of things are created for days/weeks worth of backpacking. No, it's not forever.

I wasn't disagreeing. With one backpack he would be carrying many things other than food, that was what my amount of food was based on. If he was in that swamp by now he would have trench foot, crotch rot, likely dysentery and many other things. he is in a ranch house or a boat cabin somewhere.

We could update the poll to have an option for ‘no longer alive’. If the poll is asking where BL’d BODY is, then I think it’s in the reserve, and he’s dead. There is an awful lot of money, energy and time being spent trying to find someone who some people say is a big outdoorsman who is cunningly eluding the authorities. I beg to differ. I don’t think he’s very bright, he doesn’t have any money or assistance, and he’s a coward who likely offed himself the Tuesday he walked into the reserve.
I asked when it was first posted hours ago and tagged the mod who posted the poll. I haven't gotten any response and the poll hasn't changed, so I'm assuming the mod is offline or busy.

Well the top of the police report the officer created is the same as the 911 call stating a male was hitting the female. I would hate to see dispatch getting blamed for any of this.
I saw that but I'll still await the investigation 'cos they may well have received Chris's report first.
I don't know how messages are distributed or which unit received the other message from the guy that witnessed her being beaten.

I think it could have been pre-meditated. But not planned, as such. I don't put any stock into his media consumption or artwork etc. Perhaps it does show a darkness of the mind, but plenty of people enjoy dark, macabre and twisted art/fiction without resorting to DV, violence or (allegedly) murder. jmo, but my opinion of the FBI (and a lot of other institutions/professions) has changed dramatically in the past 10'ish years. I went from practically revering them to having very little confidence in them at all.

Agree that this highly unlikely but cannot yet be ruled out, and would love to see some thoughts to dispute this. Thank you for sharing!

If a text is sent to Gabby’s mother, on her phone, after she is dead, explaining why she’ll be out of communication, and that phone pinged close to where BL was at that time, could that fit into this theory?

Look in the media thread for proof. It was stated by LE that at no time was GP’s father in North Port. He was actually in Vero Beach when he made the missing report for his daughter. JMO because I don’t care to sift thru massive amounts of MSM to find a link.
No one is claiming her father was there. Simply that the "incident" on the 10th and twice on the 11th involved him. There was an "incident" on the 10th, I have no idea why it is so heavily redacted...but it COULD, only could, be the reason the family obtained an attorney and didn't respond to texts/calls. Just a possibility to explain why....no idea if it is pertinent or not. MOO

Mountain House is very bulky. You can pop the seal, roll the air out and reseal to save some space as long as you are using them within 30 days or so. Mre's are bulkier and heavier, even field stripped.

Mountain House is very salty and creates an even bigger need for water to drink as well as water to boil and reconstitute. Eating mre's only by now he would be plugged up tighter than a cork in a bottle.

A life straw is only good for getting a drink unless you pull mouthful after mouthful and spit it into your container. They are also really geared for moving water or debris free springs....they plug with debris easily and that swamp water is nasty. he would need clean water to clean/rinse it with. A pump filter or gravity filter would be best when cooking/camping but take up even more space.

Snipped by me.

Agreed 100% about the Mountain House, that stuff is heavy plus you need to carry the stove and stove fuel to heat it or it's inedible. However, Lifestraw now makes several different kinds of containers, including a large hiking bottle with a built-in Lifestraw. If BL has one of those, he can fill it from any handy puddle and then drink from it all day.

But I agree with your overall point completely. Even if he has something like a Lifestraw bottle, just having water isn't enough. He is a very challenging environment for survival; there's no way to keep dry, there are tons of insects and predators, it would be very difficult to start a fire (and he can't risk smoke), and whatever amount of whatever kind of food he took with him is going to start running out soon.

And you can add me to the list of people who think BL was exaggerating or outright lying about his wilderness experience. There's no proof he ever did a stint on AT, much less did it survival-style. Car camping in state parks and dry campgrounds isn't at all the same as weeks solo in a survival situation without any kind of outside support.
