Sept 10?

How about Sept 1 when he arrives without Gabby?
I talked about that in my first post which you can go back to see. This was the other scenario…….

Two things were new-ish to me. Seeing the Rose friend being interviewed. And also the gift shop or ice cream shop near Teton they stopped at. The cashier gave an account of an interaction I hadn’t heard about. She mentioned BL’s insistence of Gabby mentioning that she is engaged to him.
I agree. The ice cream shop interaction was new to me.

Everyone noticed that Brian's bedroom has a sliding glass door to the outside, right? Inside Brian Laundrie's bedroom as Gabby Petito's homicide confirmed
Not that I think this is how he got away. IMO he was already gone before the press arrived. (look at pic 9, and then the blinds in pic 2)

Oh, and there's the skateboard too (in that piece).

Going to give a generous statement of possibility:

>>>> Snipped by borndem to save spac <<<<

Anyways, just wanted to say that. Because while at times I am boldly assuming they are the bad guys and criminally aiding him, other times I think they’re wrapped in a terrible situation with bad legal advice and they made terrible careless and callous mistakes at the beginning not to talk to her family but that could be the end of their involvement.

Hmmmm, you could be absolutely right on your theory. They made honkin' mistakes at the beginning of this horror, the attorney was sticking with the usual stock advice in such a case -- don't talk and lie low. And now they just have to sit back and watch, like the rest of us. Maybe they did realize their son had problems -- who knoze how long ago, but maybe they tried to help however they could, and it just didn't work. So here they sit.
You could be right. Thanks for the post.

But the sudden appearance of the new camper indicates to me that there could have been pre-planning involved by the parents or it is a coincidence?
I’ve heard other neighbors in interviews (not sure if allowed here) that they had not seen a new camper and that the camper in the driveway was something they previously owned. Also that they didn’t notice them going on a trip (doesn’t mean they didn’t). But until that trip and the brand new camper is confirmed, I am not taking it on its word.

Even if it did happen, people are allowed to buy campers before they know their kid is a murderer.

According to Brian Entin, The FBI has been going to some restaurants in the area and requesting surveillance video - restaurants they believe Brian Laundrie and his parents may have been after Gabby went missing.

Thoughts?
Who knows? I cannot think of a reason for that.

But they are also partly responsible for the horrible vacuum in which Gabby's parents find themselves.

@10ofRods Sorry for snipping some of your good points but SBM to comment that — I couldn’t agree more. And that is the most distressing thing to me, is that their silence is creating, as you eloquently said, a horrible vaccuum. There is no getting around that and no excusing it, IMO.

I never attempted to excuse them, at all.

I don't know if anybody else has been checking the flight trackers this weekend. I've been randomly checking in. I haven't seen anything over the reserve, but I look at the surrounding areas. Polk and Jacksonville have been super active last night and today. Last night Jacksonville Sheriff was out for about an hour and a helicopter registered to the city took its place. It could be unrelated, but I feel like I saw potential sightings in that area. I'm trying to find the reports.

I think BL may have been in the reserve for at least a little while, but at some point managed to find a way out. I know there's been several comments made about whether BL could really outsmart LE, and I'm sure he can't in the long run, but he's been pretty successful in the short term, given he's alive.
Something is going on in Polk Co near Winter Haven. Sheriff department helicopter has been up and circling for 55 min. 2 areas, one much tighter than the other.
I'm going to see if there's anything in the news. That area is about 75 miles from where they have been searching though.
MOO

ETA: nothing that I could find other than doing a Google search. I don't know the area, so I don't have any good links to check.

I heard him say this earlier today. My thoughts - they may be checking out their "camping trip" route though if they were this smart all along, I doubt they'd stop.

I can just imagine the parents sitting there watching TV all day making sure they know everything.

All this imagery of BL being in swampland with mud, snakes, mosquitoes, bears, monkeys,...

Why no discussion of him possibly laying on the beach with a towel over his head sunning?

How about him on a boogie board and being out in the gulf all day watching everybody on shore?

How about him riding a skateboard around town with helmet, sunglasses, and Covid mask?

How about him stealing one of the old folks bikes in the high rise parking garages? Bike Would probably go unnoticed for a long time. Riding around town all day with helmet and mask and sun glasses?

If you knew your days were numbered, would you go live in a swamp when there are so many much nicer choices?

seriously.

Where would he go to hide in plain sight? How to get restaurant food delivered without being seen?

He may profess to be an outdoorsman, and if everybody is looking for him in the outdoors eating nuts and berries, where would be the smartest place for him to go in the open without being found out, and how would he do it?

Am I the only one who watched the 48 Hours special that didn’t really like what they heard from the friend Rose? She was a little too complimentary of BL in the wake of what he has likely done to Gabby. She seemed a little too unwilling to fully put her support behind Gabby. It could just be her personality and I guess her recollection of what she saw. But if it was my close friend who was likely taken away from me by another person, I’d have a very hard time speaking of them in any remotely positive light.

Going by what she has said to other media all week, I thought Rose was heavily edited and the end result was slanted.

After hearing all this, and if BL is there in that stuff, he's already in a he!! on earth, poor boy.
Damm. (And yes, I yam a wimp.)
And I'm betting that Florida has fire ants -- they can kill, too.

I've not been able to see it yet.. but if Rose is being edited does that suggest she may be a witness to whatever occurs, probably nothing at this stage?
I am so hoping there are other friends who know a lot more..

I think whatever info they can gather will help piece together a timeline for when BL was in town.

...Even if it did happen, people are allowed to buy campers before they know their kid is a murderer.
One would have to assume they did not know before. And, what we do know is that before he came home, his parents ignored her parents calls and texts. That leads me to believe they knew.

I think they are trying to establish if / when BL was with them and when he was not any longer.

I don’t think they can legally access the parents financial or phone records at this point. So surveillance is the way to go even past surveillance.

But it tells me they may be questioning the parents account(s).

  • #299
Who knows? I cannot think of a reason for that.

To determine when he was with them last?

To see if they can catch Laundries in a lie?

They arrest the parents, then trade them for him to come out of hiding?
