I could be way off base but I was thinking that whatever the item is, it’s been placed in an evidence collection tube before being placed in the brown bag. Something like this Arrowhead Forensics Evidence Packaging - Evidence Tubes - Sharps Evidence Collection Tubes - A-1903 - A-1907 - A-1905 - A-1918 Crime Scene - Lab Supplies

Agree. The actual shape and size of the item could be totally different than the way it appears if it's inside some sort of evidence container.

The original poster said when Brian came home. They never mentioned a date. I took it to mean when he came home on Sept. 1st. That's how it came across to me.

I'm the original poster, though. And I did not say anything about September 1st. This is the original post that started it:

And in that OP, I am distinctly talking about the August 17th trip, and I never said "when Brian came home."

After I posted this, the other poster pondered why the parents couldn't talk about it the trip in MY post.

That that point, a new poster entered the conversation and said something like it was transparent to that person that Brian killed her and went and put her things in storage. Since putting her things in storage was the topic if the 8/17-24 trip, that has to be the date that person is referring to, not September 1st.

And that is why I told that person that Gabby was alive AFTER that trip.

So far the lawyer has just been texting with reporters so I don't think he's in the house.

But even if people are represented by counsel, the FBI does not have to contact their lawyer to execute a search warrant. They can just show up and start taking things. If you have a good working relationship with the FBI agents and the AUSA handling your case they may give you the courtesy of informing you of their plans but they have no duty to. They just can't question your clients once they request their lawyer.
Hi Alethea, this is an interesting tidbit & thank you for the info. So, the FBI is able to make unannounced visits, make observations, and interact with occupants totally unprepared for "visitors." A Walk-thru eases suspicions of whether or not BL is hiding out in the home

""RP (reporting party) states a seeing male hit a female, domestic," the dispatcher states at around 4:38 p.m. MT on they day of the incident. "He got into a white Ford Transit van, has a black ladder on the back, Florida plate."

The dispatch audio, first obtained by the investigative unit at FOX 13 Utah, shows the dispatcher did in fact inform the officers of allegations that Laundrie had been he aggressor – shedding new light on a situation that initially seemed like police didn't know about the witness' claims."

New recordings show police were told Brian Laundrie hit Gabby Petito before pulling van over
The officers involved will likely face disciplinary action, said Utah attorney Brett Tolman, a former U.S. Attorney for the District of Utah.

"I think they will find that they sort of manipulated the situation to not take someone into custody," he told Fox News on Sunday. "I think the fact that they had another eyewitness that is not involved in it, and is objective, and said ‘he hit her’ … you're going to have a majority of officers take him into custody."

So true. It’s mind blowing to think that if people hadn’t found their footage of the van, the FBI would literally be searching multiple parks in multiple states. Including “Yosemite.”

Precisely.

Red, White and Bethune's footage was absolutely invaluable, and without it, GP may never have been found.

@RickshawFan
To answer your question about the skateboard, like I had mentioned earlier, I’m not sure if it was the one on the police cam or an extra one he had already. It’s most likely an extra one they had.

Just the odds on that happening...it's like fate made that happen somehow. It's wild.

My mistake sorry. I should have read further back.

Given the circumstances of the matter (Gabby now dead probably at the hands of Brian), I understand very well why people would view this encounter as the last opportunity there was to save her life.
i understand but it wasnt!! cause no one could make them do dfferent!

And now I'm wondering how long the parents had to gather up whatever is in that package.

A guess? How about an electric razor?
tsk tsk, I'm sure nature boy wouldn't use one of those, I'm sure he uses a sharpened stone!

It's Laundrie laundry. Underwear. DNA.

Coyotes and bobcats are probably not a threat unless one is injured and/or near death. More concerning would be the puma shown by the trailcam.
I saw the puma too but since the SC official site didn't reference it I wasn't sure what to make of it and didn't want to run afoul of any rules.

Probably a short time frame. I have a feeling they're on an extremely short leash with the FBI.

LE should have BL’s DNA to check against any signs of any humans that they find in Carlton Reserve. They likel have found such signs and it would be critical that they they have some evidence that he was in there. So it makes sense that they ask for DNA to match.

I think it's something soft -- t-shirt, shorts, maybe even underwear.

If the family had it already collected and waiting in an inner plastic bag, like say a ziploc, the FBI could wrap it in a brown paper lunch sack just for privacy but not need to worry about gloves, etc. It's not crime evidence, just something with DNA on it for matching purposes MOO.
