It is just announcing to the Court who the representing attorney will be. In this case, the US because it's a Federal case.

No. The Attorney is just making known to the Court that she represents her client. In a formal writing. That’s all it is. A Notice of Appearance- on behalf of her client.

No, it is just a step that happens in a case. Once a case is filed, the Court opens a "docket" to track what happens. Once the USA has an attorney assigned as the prosecutor, that individual attorney has to "notify" the Court to say Hello, I am the Prosecutor, please make sure all documents are sent to me. And then the Clerk of Court will add that attorney as the attorney for one side. They are then authorized to file things with the Court, they will get copies of anything anyone else posts. The defense will do the same thing once the defendant hires an attorney.

This happens in every case filed in any federal court. I did it this week. It is just a technical step that you have to do.

So those dogs searching the new area need his scent too, the original items are staying with the original K9. idk if that makes sense. On top of the cooler bag was a purple camelback water bottle though.

IIRC during the 48 Hours interview, her mom couldnt discuss the last conversation with her daughter - I was confused about this because I originally remember hearing that the last text she received was the one about Yosemite - So I thought that maybe since that originally came out, and the timing of the interview she was told not to discuss it (although seeing it was already out seems odd in MOO). Now I am thinking maybe she did facetime with her or something on the 30th to say that she was going to be coming home (since her mom said she knew she would be on her way back...) maybe?



August 30th 7:30 am to September 1st 10:30 am (51 hours) is doable if you make minimal stops. It takes roughly 34 hours to drive from Grand Teton back to FL.

Especially if you are trying to get there fast.

IIRC, GP's mom has stated that the last time she facetimed with Gabby was on the 25th of August, and that's why there's doubts about who actually sent the 08/27 and 08/30 texts.

I don't know if I can link to the full press conference video here because it's not an approved link, but in the video contained in the article, when mom says "I believe it was around the 23rd and... or the 24th, I can't recall" she was answering a question about when was the last time she spoke with Gabby on video. Idk why it says 25th in the article, though.

a) when the L family reported BL missing and were worried he might harm himself they would have been asked to provide scent items.

It makes zero sense that the FBI would return for more scent items, after several weeks. Anything they collected should ostensibly have a weaker scent value than those items his very worried parents provided LE with when searching first began, wouldn't they?

b) I agree with others who saw what appeared to be field testing kits.

c) I too witnessed the one female FBI agent who was gloved after coming from the camper to the house, made a point not to touch anything with her gloved hands and another agent opened the door and held it for her as she held her hands in such a way that it seemed clear she was avoiding handling anything, much like a surgeon after they've scrubbed in.

(C) I noticed that, too! Exactly as you described. Held her hands up like a surgeon who had just scrubbed in.

I hadnt seen all these documents before now, so I am sorry if this was already responded to in a different thread, but does anyone know why they would grant a motion to seal the case and then the next day grant a motion to unseal it?

Per the Motion to Unseal, it seems the police asked them to unseal to aid in the investigation.
