Every time I look at that bedroom it reminds me of a YOUNG teen’s room. Certainly doesn’t look like a grown man’s room.

I know it was taken a few years ago but he wasn’t 12 or 13 at the time.

Just something that struck me.

MOO
Doesn't really state anything. That's a staged room for a realty photo. Most everything gets moved out of the room for those photos. Modest bedroom. Parents obvi never upgraded his bed from childhood, but doesn't really say much else.

If the engineer promptly reported his possible BL sighting to LE, wouldn’t all LE within range make an all out effort to locate the vehicle and the BL lookalike? It seems like the male was disoriented enough that he could be losing steam in his elusive run and could prove easier to find. Why does this have to take so agonizingly long?

He did claim in the New York Post piece that he absolutely informed LE:

Davis is frustrated three calls to the FBI and 911 calls in both North Carolina and Tennessee have not been returned by law enforcement.

Brian Laundrie may have been spotted on Appalachian Trail

No problem! I went to bed early last night, but I got the alert. Target practice from someone else could be an option as well. But, I am leaning more towards he shot her. MOO
What appears to be blood next to the one bullet hole is very telling. I have not thought of them digging the bullets out! That could be why they are so large looking. I am thinking he did have one on the trip for self protection (you never know traveling like that) and it turned ugly. But that's just me! MOO

Petito’s death ruled a homicide, experts see Laundrie as abuser
I thought the same thing, MOO. But also, you will note that they appear to have taken evidence from 2 locations. Petito’s death ruled a homicide, experts see Laundrie as abuser. The rock by the water is a different location (a bit down from where she was actually located MOO), which is why I had asked on a previous thread if anyone knew if he crossed the water with her. Only one rock, out of all of those rocks, is marked. They must have something there. Something found either on the rock or in the water near it? Don't know. Speculation and MOO IMO

IF the most recent, Appalachian Trail sighting is true, from whom did BL get the white Ford F-150? California bound? Hmm, I don’t know. He has no money. That’d be quite the wild goose chase if not true. Whitey Bulger was able to hide out in CA for a long time, BUT….totally different scenario there. He had a lot of connections and a lot of money.

Curious...Why do you think he has no money? He could have emptied his bank savings account or was given cash from his parents. Untraceable, bought a car from a private owner.

My first guess was they got into a heated argument that involved slapping, shoving and he accidentally pushed her and hit her head, but then again since she mentioned he grabs her face I thought he might have strangled her in a fit of rage. But then again I did NOT know he owned a firearm and had it with him in the van. Does BL legally own a gun? I recall reading about a gun case in the Mustang but cannot find it now.
Whatever the cause of death it must be obvious homicide for them to declare it so quickly.
All of these scenarios are horrific and depressing.

I've read a lot of articles pertaining to BL's sister, but there's one detail I have not been able to find information on. Did BL stop by her house on Sept. 1 in the van? I know her home would be right on the way before North Port, so it makes sense he might stop there first, but did he? Or did he go to his parent's first and then drive another vehicle, like the mustang, back to his sister's later that day?

I'm not looking for guesses. I want a link if there is one.

Gabby Petito's dad says she is 'already saving lives'

Joseph Petito

Gabby Petito’s grieving father posted a tribute to his slain daughter online Saturday morning, stating, “She is already saving lives.”

“So many stories being sent to us about relationships being left with proper planning for safety, and people are being found due to her influence,” Joseph Petito wrote in the Twitter post Saturday morning. “We have much more work to do, but it’s a start.”

The first response to his post pointed to evidence it was on target.

“Gabby finally gave me courage to seek help to get out of my 12 year abusive relationship,” replied a woman whose handle is @NatillyWelshie. “She is inspiring so many” the post said, ending with a heart-shaped emoji.

Gabby Petito's mom demands Brian Laundrie turn himself in

Gabby Petito's mother Nichole Schmidt

In her first-ever tweet, Gabby Petito’s mother demanded that Brian Laundrie do the right thing.

“Mama bear is getting angry!” Nichole Schmidt wrote. “Turn yourself in!”

She gave a shout out to her ex-husband and Gabby’s father in the post, adding “@josephpetito agrees” along with the hashtags #justiceforgabby and #americasdaughter.

I didn’t know how late in the game I am until just now. I live in SE FL and I look at everyone’s hands now, looking for that finger leaf tattoo BL has. Now in one of these pictures I see JP has the same tattoo… then I google GP and tattoos and see she had a similar tattoo. I never saw that on GP’s hands in the body cams although I did notice his. Maybe because she wore a lot of rings so I just didn’t pick up on it. Not putting it out here for a topic of discussion but I do wonder the significance of that type of tattoo to those in the family, including BL……Things that make you go hmmmm.

Do we even know that this is actually Brian's room? I doubt the real estate listing had a caption stating "teenage son's room" or anything like that. MOO

I think I would be out front with my hose, watering my yard. LOL and I have desert landscaping.
But seriously, this poor neighbor going through Chemo. What about his rights?

I feel for the innocent neighbors, esp. the one going through chemo I however do not have any empathy for the Laundrie's they can end this all right now by turning in their son. All they have to do is go talk with FBI. It's that simple.

iirc - Gabby was asked if she had a weapon on her but it was indirect.
Something like "You obviously don't have a weapon on you."
And yes, Gabby's outfit was very simple and appropriate for travelling in the summer heat - shorts and a midriff baring top.

I remember being kind of skeeved by that comment - last thing that girl needed was a cop checking her out at that moment, and though I don't think he was being creepy about it, it was just clear that he wasn't unaware of her being a cute girl with a cute figure.

And it's a minor thing, but in that situation it was just another minimization of her as a person. Coming from an authority figure & the rest of the circumstance, that's the kind of thing that just makes an already-reduced person feel smaller.

I wish he had filmed the whole encounter. And would let us know if the guy is still sporting a beard or not.
I feel kind of sorry for him because I think he truly believes it was BL. Now he will be badgered on sm.....and the beat goes on.................jmo

Brian went to that AT&T store September 14 with an older woman and purchased the phone before they left. Isn’t Sept. 14 when Brian’s parents claim they last saw him leaving their home with his backpack? So, he walked straight to some older woman’s place to take him to get a phone? LE has surveillance. It will be so interesting to find out who she is. A trusted family friend. A trusted friend of the attorney? The mother of one of Brian’s trusted friends? Did he still have any? A co-worker at Publix? I think Brian can turn on the charm at will. Did he convince someone to help him?
I assumed the older woman was his mother. JMO of course.

My previous comment was removed because I didn't supply a link, so I'm curious to know what y'all think when CL made the statement in the interview, "I assumed he flew back, because that's what he did when he is - actually I don't want to say that". I'm stuck on what she might have meant.

ABC Exclusive: Full interview with Brian Laundrie's sister on Gabby Petito (msn.com)

What strikes me more about that is the use of the "is" which denotes present tense - not past tense you'd expect when someone is no longer on this earth. MOO.

Oh why do you not believe he saw the guy? I fully believe that he did.

Can you imagine the uproar had it been the other way around and the Laundries had a name for Gabby to "intimidate her"!?

I'll likely be berated for this comment, but bullying is wrong, no matter which "side" it's coming from, and like I said yesterday, many humans are a product of not only how they've been raised, but also of how they've been treated by others :(

Just my two pence.

MOO

True, demeaning others isn't nice. And BL didn't seem like the jock-y, rip all over your friends and laugh together about it type.

Some guys wouldn't care/shrug shoulders/accept the hazing & even be spurred on to do better. I don't get the sense BL was that guy.

We don't KNOW that he owned a firearm and had it in the van.....just a possibility/speculation. jmo

I couldn't care less about BL's parents. I agree, they could end all of this, it's all in their hands.
