Understand, but it helps your analytic abilities by stopping these runaway wild hare ideas that take up 5 pages of responses before they are dismissed
Sorry, I reread what I wrote and it came off way snarkier than intended. I legitimately appreciate you bringing attention to the wildfires (and WHY the helicopters are there). I'm over here in the Northeast where I could tell you exactly what is happening with flight patterns up here, but wildfires are a completely foreign concept to me (other than what I hear on NPR).

There is way too much misinformation going around this case as is, so I get it. I STILL don't know if the friend is talking about Yellowstone or Yosemite.

Snipped for clarity.

As someone with bipolar I take exception to describing Gabby as being in a 'manic state'.

She was upset as she'd thought her fiancée was going to leave her hundreds of miles from home, then he hadn't stopped for the police and instead had tried to speed away from them. She made perfect sense speech wise and was reasonably upset, but nowhere remotely like manic. In fact she calmed down very quickly, despite the police man speaking about domestic violence.

thank you for this, as someone who has a close family member with bipolar disorder this description was making me cringe as well.

Then why did they call an attorney? They know plenty about what happened. That's why they immediately got their attorney involved long before her family or LE even knew she was missing. Sorry, there is no explaining this away.
Is it confirmed attorney was hired on 9/1 or 9/11 when they came to get van?

This is the most plausible theory to me. I really agree with this take. We are talking about very young people who were fighting and had high emotions. This makes the most sense to me.

Who would do this? Steal the van of the person who owns it, because she has provisions, even when you know she has anxiety and maybe other issues? That has to be an actual crime. Abandonment of a vulnerable person, or something like that.

The two names are confused all the time! They are even confused in the media reports, sometime even in the same article ! (as in the US Sun article)
Yes. It would make sense that they visited Yellowstone after Grand Teton National park. They are only 30 miles apart.

ABC Exclusive: Brian Laundrie's sister breaks silence on Gabby Petito

Brian Laundrie's sister, Cassie Laundrie, broke her silence in an exclusive interview with GMA on Thursday.

"Obviously me and my family want Gabby to be found safe," Laundrie said. "She's like a sister and my children love her, and all I want is for her to come home safe and found and this to be just a big misunderstanding."
Thanks for linking and quoting ! ^^^

What a generic, non-statement.
"...just a big misunderstanding..." ?
It might be helpful if she said why she thinks her brother is not talking.
At least give more of an update.

This is not helpful for a young lady who could be stranded in the middle of a Nt'l park (Yosemite and Yellowstone are 100's if not 1,000's of miles in length and width) thousands of miles from civilization or worse, deceased.
MOO.

Did you miss where the fight, the Moonflower co op where one of the victims was working that day, where Brian and Gabby spent 6 hours on the Wi-Fi and the hotel LE took Brian to is like 100 yards from each other?

That said, I'm not sure the cases are connected. But it makes me curious.

That’s a lot of action in 24 hours for a town of 5,000 people.

They had a argument and was separated by police and she sleep in the van by herself. What if she crossed paths with the couple that night after they were separated and something occurred that BL didn’t approve of. The next day he has a chat with the couple and things went downhill. He had to get rid of gf the only witness.

Wait wait wait... She WAS supposed to be in Yosemite by then?? I think we were all under the assumption that Yosemite and Yellowstone got confused somewhere along the way (either by her or the uncle or something). That changes a lot IMO.

No. People are getting Yosemite and Yellowstone confused.

This sounds like the plot of a new Fox sitcom, except we need to make the real estate lawyer obsessed with true crime podcasts.
You are so right

BL seems to contradict himself. He posts about not wearing shoes a lot...almost seems to brag about it and that it makes him better than all the rest of us. But, he is wearing shoes while hiking in some of the photos he posted.

GP was hitting him and grabbing the steering wheel right before they were stopped. That's what made him swerve and hit the curb.
That is what BL claims happened, but GP tells the police officer that she did NOT touch the steering wheel

the idea that not talking to police makes you a monster is scary. So many innocent people have cooperated and ended up in jail for horrible, violent crimes they haven’t committed including spouses, significant others, etc. People have been EXECUTED for crimes they didn’t commit. That’s why so many people lawyer up today. It’s the smart thing to do.

We also don’t know BL doesn’t want to talk and just isn’t being allowed to. I know he’s an adult but 22 is young and if his parents and lawyer are telling him don’t speak or you’ll go to jail he might be scared too. We don’t know what he’s being told. I am not defending him AT ALL but actually we have no idea if he’s trying to kill himself out of anguish or has his feet propped up eating Doritos watching all of this. They’re both so, so young. Again, as I end all my posts, my heart is with her family and I can’t imagine the pain they are in not knowing where GP is.

i mainly hope she’s alive and well. If she isn’t and he’s responsible he deserves to rot. But we don’t know.

Of course it’s not abnormal to lawyer up, but isn’t it strange that he already had a lawyer when police got to his home after Gabby was originally reported missing?

MOO.

The misunderstanding bit leapt out at me too. Clearly no-one's told her anything. It was decent of her to speak out though.

Gabby should have had the van and been with Brian at Yosemite. That was the "plan" and the friend was supposed to meet her on Aug 29th. That's plenty of time to go from Grant Teton to Yosemite.

Until something made Gabby / Brian deviate from the plan.
****************

The plan was Yellowstone - not Yosemite, confirmed by a friend who was supposed to meet her there on the 29th.

With the current helicopter presence and GP’s parents’ statements about Wyoming, it seems like they suspect she may be in Yellowstone. :(

Not available in Europe! Can anyone summarise please? Thanks! No worries if not, sure it will be here soon.
  • The bodies of Turner and Schulte were found in a nearby creek, undressed from the waist down. Multiple gunshot wounds were found on both women.
  • Schulte had mentioned there was a ‘creeper dude’ that had bothered them, and that if they were found dead, it was because they were murdered
  • Authorities are examining two vehicles belonging to Schulte and Turner – a Kia Sorento and a second vehicle – as well as a storage unit.
  • Before their murders, the couple was last seen at a bar in Moab, Woody’s Tavern, on Friday, August 13, at around 9:30 p.m.
  • There were reports that the women were followed out the door, but that is disputed.
  • Schulte’s brother was shot and killed by a friend in 2015.
New details released about murders of Crystal Turner, Kylen Schulte

But the natural combination is Grand Teton/ Yellowstone. They are right next to eaxh other and Yellowstone is just amazing. Takes at least 3 days to see it.

Agreed.
45mph in a 15mph ?
That's called evading or fleeing LE.
Imo.
