Yup, that was where my mind was yesterday. IMO. I feel like it's the most under reported and least understood part of this whole gig. As you said, traveling for a family death, legit. traveling to pay 2 months storage fees (which i'm guessing you can do over the phone with a credit card), or even asking the owner for another month's use. But needing to fly home, leaving your somewhat fragile (IMO) girlfriend in an area that recently has had murders. To me this makes zero sense. I believe he was gone the 17th to the 23rd, very curious.
Exactly (MOO) and let's assume this is what occurred (that it is legit). 5 days to move boxes from a storage unit? (I say 5 giving benefit of doubt as 2 of those days being travel on the front and back end). People move entire homes in a day. Nothing about this adds up unless he was being vindictive, left and initially had no plan to return or; his parents or sister or he himself forced the break for a cool-down period. This in MOO. We know none of these facts. We may eventually though. MOO.

It feels like the parents liked holding power and control over others as well unless it was all BL's idea.
You'd think his parents would insist once there's a breakup it's how you behave that really counts. Have dignity and return her belongings. Treat her as you would like to be treated.
His parents have shown the world who they are, and they are NOT honest, do good people. MOO

Thanks. I didn't know that. Also: there is no such thing as a monetized Instagram account.

Edit: I still think of this as a hobby. It's OK for us to disagree.

Instagram Influencers get paid by advertisers and product placement. A goof Influencer can easily make 5k a month-1 million a year. Take a look at YouTube /Instagram Influencers, There's big money to be made in it. I have many friends who vlog/ for a living. None of them are poor. They get paid to travel, eat, all clothes donated to them. It's a lucrative career.

And treat her loved ones with respect. It's like, they include themselves in the break-up drama. We will never speak to her or her parents again, we have broken up with them. Weirdo, immature behavior. jmo

We have no idea what BL had to do or did those days. When he made plans for the trip etc. Maybe we’ll find out. Maybe not. LE might feel it is totally irrelevant to case in which case we likely will never find out.

Just curious where she seems to "freak out" in the video relating to the separation? I have watched the footage multiple times and I see someone who is frightened/sad/scared - unless I missed it and its totally possible, but IMO I didnt necessarily see someone who "Freaked out."

In the second body cam video, when the officer told her that she was going to have a court date, her whole demeaner fell apart. She said/asked, while starting to cry, I have to come back here? And while the officer was telling her about the online aspects of it her, her speech was so muddled by her anxiety that I don't think anyone could accurately transcribe what she said. If speech could be a rorschach test, then any transcription would give more insight to the transcriber than it would GP.

MOO I saw someone who was already having a huge problem documenting their trip (she had just spent 6 hours working on it) and now was seeing the trip become even more complicated by having to backtrack. So in the case of transcribing speech being a rorshack test it would show that I think the biggest stresser in her life at that moment was the difficulty of creating a viable youtube channel.

It's a lot of "work" to get up to speed on photography, editing, use of several programs, choosing/editing non-copyrighted music, learning to record and edit voiceovers, learning transitions, which resolutions are best re youtube/SM limitations, taming color variations for visual unity, and building the network on the internet. A massive amount of time, and digital memory is required to keep it all backed up yet accessible. It's a LOT of work, very satisfying work. However, nothing at all shows up until one successfully uploads it, which may take a lot of time because of upload speeds, with several attempts being required if mistakes become apparent post publication. A 10 minute video can take 2 hours to upload, after a week of filming, editing, writing copy, etc. IMO it's a mistake to underestimate the effort required to get any new business up and running.

Thank you for posting this. Some people will never understand how much work goes into creating anything.
And to make a point - All work is a hobby until you get paid. Lots of work happens before a product is even launched.

It's about whether BL's got any life goals, not a diss against those without formal education. Apparently there is a subculture, NEET, in which individuals are Not in Education, Employment, or Training. Member @NorthErn2 brought it up way back in thread #16, pg 54, in discussing how BL displays some of the NEET traits.

eta: Yes, @Allabouttrial, you're right, BL held down a job. From his comments, he didn't appear to appreciate all the hard work GP put into the SM instead of giving him attention. There's also criticism that he lived at home and aside from GP's trip, didn't aspire to do anything else. MOO: During their relationship, BL didn't have any goals, and that's the issue, not whether they're educated. Maybe it put stress on an already tense situation?

GP was definitely not a NEET, as she worked a variety of jobs, took the initiative to do the cross country trip, and spent countless hours building her online channel.

well put @tayaway - thanks for bringing this back.
BL lives off of others - for whatever reason - but it has to be on his terms
How much can be on his terms in hiding....

I would think that everyone would have been concerned after Moab, Brian and Gabby and both of their families...once relationship issues become public and law enforcement becomes involved, you probably should take some time to sort out what exactly is going on.

I am still on the fence as to whether GO told her family. I think Brian may have. But, if BL left on a threat to abandon her, I can see GP not telling her family what was happening. MOO. IMO from the witness accounts I have read, this seemed to be a favorite tactic of his. MOO. IMO. Speculation.

Extremely abusive and immature, but I have experienced it and witnessed it. My advice to young people in a relationship that you want to leave remove all your belongings BEFORE you announce your breakup. Chances are they might destroy it out of immaturity and anger. Any age can act immature!
Change passwords to all sm/bank accounts, change locks. Gotta look out for yourself in case they do NOT take it well.

MOO, I thought that initially. Was horrified.

After reading the details on the case, not so sure. I think many parents would have done the same under certain scenarios that the Laundries might have faced. We do not know. This far, there have been no lies. They have not said much but what they have released from attorney has not been proven lies. In fact, LE is taking them at their word in a lot of this, knowing that a lawyer would not out and out lie in such cases.

Not sure why people are still trying to determine why BL flew back to florida on or around the 17th.

There is no proof that I can find that he flew home. none.

GP's mother and uncle may have believed that to be true, but there is no evidence that I can find that he flew home.

It is pure hearsay, and in my own humble opinion this "factoid" should be reevaluated and taken off of the websleuths timeline.

Totally absurd logic. They can still arrest him on the current charge. Just because they arrest him doesn't mean they have to charge him with murder at that moment.
Maybe they’re concerned that his attorney could have him bailed out on the bank fraud charge?

She almost got their Brian arrested. With her stuff back in the house, they save storage bucks and have the pleasure of kicking her AND her stuff out to the curb upon her return.
MOO
Do we know it is actually Gabby's belongings? or is it pure speculation?

Did you catch what date they'd need to return? This could be part of their ongoing fight.

With this disappearance, I really doubt a judge would let him out on bail.

IMO she was at the SLC hotel, because he’d absconded with the van and left her.

I think they stayed at that particular SLC hotel because it was close to the airport, and BL could take a shuttle to and from the airport for his trip back to Florida, and Gabby would still have the van if she needed to get food, etc. locally. I think if BL had absconded with the van, her father would have sensed something was wrong when he was in close contact with her that week, helping her with the technology issues she was having and ordering a Domino's pizza for her. Given how she responded at the thought of being without the van in the Moab pullover, I think it would have been impossible for her to contain her anxieties if BL had absconded with the van, and that her father would have sensed a problem.
