I'm not sure how you're able to make that determination.
Also, words and behavior can be misinterpreted. I've personally witnessed this a lot with law enforcement, and I'm seeing it in people's attempts to analyze what little we know about Brian.
I'm not suggesting that my understanding of him is correct. But as I've stated before, we interpret through a lens, and there isn't just one. There are differing perspectives, and even if someone is a respected professional, bias can be a problem.
It's my opinion that bias is skewing some of our understanding of Brian.
The above post is from 2 threads back. I realize people have the right to their own opinions. What I am about to say is my opinion only. The lens I am looking at Brian through is the lens of the known facts and his own behaivior. In my opinion, Brian is a murderer, based on the following evidence:

1) Gabby's friend recalling Brian as jealous and controlling, without any friends of his own
2) Brian and Gabby went on a trip together where Gabby would have to spend time at her computer, establishing her social media presence and not paying 100% attention to the emotionally-needy Brian
3) the Moab police report of domestic violence and the related videos and witness reports
4) Brian arguing over and over (returning 4 times in the account I read) with the management of the The Merry Piglets restaurant in Jackson WY and Gabby not supporting him, but rather apologizing to the restaurant staff on behalf of Brian.
5) Brian inexplicably returning without Gabby in Gabby's van and stonewalling Gabby's parents attempts to locate her
6) Gabby's murdered body discovered very close to where their van was recorded on video as parked in the Spread Creek Disbursed Camping area,
7) witness reports of a strange-acting Brian hitchiking around the Spread Creek Campground area before and after Gabby's murder
8) the autopsy result on Gabby preliminarily classified as a homicide
9) an arrest warrant issued for Brian stealing the now deceased Gabby's money
10) Brian on the run from law enforcement

I don't think I am being biased when I say that I believe Brain murdered Gabby. He cut her life short, ruined his own life, likly ruined his parents life by placing them in legal jeopardy, as I believe they just may face real consequences for hiding Brian. I don't believe i am biased, just basing my comment and beliefs on evidence in this sad and discouraging case.

Brian: Please do the right thing and turn yourself in. Don't drag anymore people down into the darkness with you than you have already done.

Do you know who posted it or the post and thread number so we can see it in context?

If local LE thought, with any certainty, that a dangerous fugitive was on or near a trail managed by a federal agency, FBI would be notified, as would NPS & thus ATC. The alert would absolutely be posted, ime.

Have you read about the capture of John Freeman Colt? As someone who follows National Park news pretty closely, especially in Utah (where I go frequently), I was pretty alarmed to learn he was within a couple of miles of where I was when he was captured. Apparently, they knew he was traveling from National Park to National Park, or otherwise staying on nearby lands.

According to locals in Moab, he is a suspect in the death of Kylen and Crystal, although of course, LE isn't saying so.

https://www.fox13now.com/news/crime/how-a-wanted-fugitive-from-kansas-was-caught-in-southern-utah

But search his name - there's way more to the story and other locations where LE thought he had been. I was pretty surprised to learn that some good friends of mine must have been very near him, as they were at Capitol Reef at the same time.

IMHO, Gabby's mom wanted to keep the focus on the search for her, not on what, at the time, was a distraction from the search.
She commented about the Moab incident? After the police report and incident were known publicly or before?

I posed a question back on page 9 of this thread #51, but I don’t think it was ever answered because the thread is moving so fast.

QUESTION:
Has LE ever searched Brian’s sister CL’s house to see whether he’s hiding there? Have they questioned CL? What if BL’s been holed up at her place this entire time? It’s been confirmed that CL met up with her parents and BL at the Fort DeSoto campground on Sept 6-7th, right? BL could have left that campground with CL in her car, then the parents could have staged the diversion a few days later involving the Mustang at the Carlton Reserve and planted a few of his items out in the swamp to make it look like he went in there & committed suicide. MOO

Is anyone watching CL’s house or scanning it with a thermal scanner?

Really good question but as far as I know, we don't know.

They sought legal counsel and are doing as told!
We may not.like.it

We have no.idea how they feel!
I can't imagine!

Jmo
You are correct, we have no idea how they feel, but I can say I don’t really care how they feel. They refused to care how GP’s parents felt when GP was missing. They refused to cooperate with LE and BL refused to cooperate with LE, and that to me makes them heartless.
As a parent, I would never not try to assist with a missing persons case if my children were involved. I would never cover for my child if they were involved in a homicide. I would never assist in hiding their whereabouts (speculation, sure, but a lot of things point to this).

All I know are the facts I’ve been presented, the main one being they did not cooperate with LE from the get go, as reported by LE and GP’s parents, when GP was reported missing, even though she lived with them, and their son returned home without her in her van.

If that doesn’t scream guilty, I don’t know what does.

MAYBE his parents helped him because Wyoming is a death penalty state. I dont think Brian did much planning except to get home. And when they all found out about DP, they decided best thing was for him to run. I think he will carry his guilt wherever he goes and just might decide to give up.
It doesn't matter which state since if he is to be charged with murder, the crime happened across many states, making it a federal crime and that means the death penalty can be applied either way. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

IMHO, Gabby's mom wanted to keep the focus on the search for her, not on what, at the time, was a distraction from the search.

Plus, this would dovetail with Joseph P's stated wish not to spook Brian into harming himself, without them knowing where Gabby was.

Saying "yes, it's entirely possible he was physically abusive to my daughter" doesn't seem likely to relax him; regardless of whether or not we think Nicole even knew the extent of his aggression.

Someone taught me this in my beginning time here too. On the quote, if you hit the arrow on the left by the poster's name it will take you to the quoted post and you can then see what it is in reference to.

I believe it was on her tik-tok
I believe it was determined this was a pop socket she was holding, as if she was talking on speaker and holding the phone close to her face. It does look like a gun but once you consider the shape of a pop socket attached to a phone, it looks more like this. IMO

Here we go...
No, they can't search her home just because her brother is a fugitive. There's no evidence that she knows anything and ample, albeit circumstantial, evidence that she doesn't. Yes, of course, they've questioned her. No, BL isn't hiding in her home. No, it was not confirmed that she saw him at Ft DeSoto. All that leads me to believe that this basic Florida family did not collectively outsmart the FBI.

I still haven't been able to get a reasonable answer to this: why would BL risk telling CL anything? If I'm going to pretend that it's not completely ludicrous to believe that CL's husband would be willing to risk his OWN children to cover up a potential murder for his, by all appearances, loser BIL, why would they give her that information in the first place?

In the timeline posted here, there is a gap between July 30 and Aug 10. This appears to be a longer time than Gabby would normally go without posting. We can infer that they were in Utah, and I’m sure she had internet at some point. Has anyone uncovered where they were?
JUL 20: Petito informed her Instagram followers that they were at Cedar Breaks
JUL 21: The next stop was Bryce Canyon National Park
JUL 26: Petito posted a photo relaxing in hot tub at Mystic Hot Springs
JUL 30: The couple stopped at Canyonlands National Park Mesa Arch

==================================
AUG 10: JF met Gabby and BL near Moab, Utah where they chatted about 40 min. JF and his girlfriend then set off on a hike to the Delicate Arch. When they got back to the parking lot, Gabby and Laundrie were gone.

AUG 12: The couple was at the organic store (Moonflower) from 9am to 3pm according to the police video - they were going to get water and showers - police report incident is at 4pm and the video is over an hour long of this incident. BL is taken to a hotel -
?Where does

JF - Jaye Foster from Alabama, who received a second skateboard of Brian's from Brian. I'm still curious if his first was ever collected by LE. MOO

This ‘Van-Life’ Couple Went on a Cross-Country Trip Out West. Only He Came Back.

"Jaye Foster, an Alabaman who is traveling the U.S. in his own customized Volkswagen bus, met Gabby and Laundrie near Moab, Utah, on Aug. 10.... When Laundrie asked Foster if he’d like to have a skateboard he no longer needed, Foster eagerly accepted. “He said, ‘Here, I’m not gonna be needing two of these,’” Foster recalled, adding that Gabby and Laundrie said they were headed to Yellowstone next." (emphasis mine)

Pure Amateur Speculation Only - I really feel that if law enforcement did not respond to this tip, they feel confident that they know where BL is, dead or alive, and that it is not where this sighting was.
I HOPE that is the case. You would think they would respond just to keep this info confidential or ask the tipster to keep it confidential.

Good article, thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome, I’ve been trying to profile a little bit and came across it. I also wanted to see if DV homicide is classed as murder or manslaughter but haven’t found that info yet. Wanted to see if because abuse is over a long period, whether that would classed as premeditation.

As I read that, she's not saying Gabby and Brian weren't there, but that no one inside Moonflower knew about the fight or the police being involved. Which makes sense since the altercation was reported by someone driving by and a person who was across the street, and the police didn't pull them over until the van had gone some distance from Moonflower. jmo

Which leads me to believe if they were fighting before actually going outside it was not obvious to people inside.

On another issue, the fight at the mexican restaurant seemed odd to me. Witness said they were sitting right next to Gabby and Brian, heard Gabby apologize and heard Brian complaining to servers but could not hear why he was upset? If you heard one, wouldnt you hear both, especially if one was upset.
