@squareandrabbet - the point is he is not wearing her bracelet! What is being mistaken on her for a bracelet is a hairband. Whatever he has on is way thicker than an elastic hairband.‍♀️

How do you know it isn't blur from the crappy motion capture the original photographer took, making his arm adornment look thicker?

Many. But we are not allowed to sleuth outside of POI or Gabby so I must behave myself. I have said before that Gabby being involved in at least the Bumble app instantly makes her a target for predators. The vanlife is also rife with some creeps along the way, easy to get caught up with during camp times....my own personal experience here as a hard core introvert, still ended up in, well, interesting situations and groups.

I don't believe she was left alone when Brian went home for the "storage" trip. So who was there as "acting as a support system"? And no, it wasn't just her dad on video call for 5 days. No way. So who? We don't know and can't sleuth publicly here outside the guidelines.

<modsnip>

All weird, stays weird...we just don't have enough pieces. And maybe we shouldn't. Cassie said, the world does NOT need to know what the FBI knows. Why? Who is being protected by the FBI or by not releasing some additional information? I can guess. It isn't Brian or his family, they have been beaten every which way and sideways. Maybe rightfully so, maybe not. I do NOT know. Thank you for asking me. Sigh.

All of this is my crazy opinion ONLY!

It’s the investigation that’s being protected. There are certain things that only the perpetrator will know, and LE need to keep certain things close to their chest in the hopes that the perpetrator will trip themselves up by revealing something only they could know.

Yes, the parents probably treated BL as the golden boy throughout all of his life, and she had to go through her whole life in 2nd place, watching from the wings.

I know what that's like when parents favour a younger brother.
This sibling can do no wrong, gets forgiven everything, and has any attention they need whenever the require it.

No matter what happens, the elder sister can never be number 1. She will never even be equal to him.

In the end, the older sister just realises that there is nothing she can do, and sits back, takes it, and lives her life either 'going through the motions' or distancing herself from the family.

Yes. And in reality what happens is the Golden Child eventually destroys him or herself and the neglected one goes on to be happy and lead a normal life. IMO we are seeing that in their family.

Brian Laundrie's sister clarifies timeline

Brian Laundrie’s sister, Cassie Laundrie, took questions from a small group of protesters outside her home Monday and clarified some of the timeline around her brother’s disappearance and the death of Gabby Petito.

The group outside her home on Monday also asked whether Cassie Laundrie believed her brother killed Gabby Petito, and whether she thought he was still alive. Her answers to both questions were the same: “I don’t know.”

They don't start school until the 10th? She said they didn't stay be kids had school the next day. The 7th. MOO
Some schools start the younger kids a few days earlier, also they often have open houses the days before school starts.

So if he supposedly disappeared on Sept 13 it's closer to the time the Gabby was reported as a missing person (the 11th), & it means the parents reported him missing after FOUR days gone, not three....

Yes!! I also get the impression she was closer to Gabby than Brian.

If she's been witness to altercations between the two of them in the past, and has maybe taken Gabby's side, or tried to reason with BL/her parents then I can see why they (SB/RL/CL) would now try and throw her under the bus.

Could this be why her parents have cut her off and shut her out? Because she liked Gabby so they see that she can't be in the "circle of trust"!?

JMO
I feel so sorry for her having been put in this position. She’s in a no-win situation right now. If her parents care about her at all, they (not their attorney!!) should speak up and put to rest any speculation about her involvement.

She may not realize it now but if she’s being excluded from the family because of Brian, she’s in luck. When Mom, Dad and little brother are behind bars, she and her husband will be peacefully raising their kids to be nothing like them.

I believe this man is telling the truth
Does anybody think there might be a couple pranksters out there? I mean, there are hundreds or thousands of guys that resemble BL, might one or two of them think it might be kind of funny to go out and pretend to be BL around the AT or anywhere else BL might be suspected of hiding? Get a kick out of seeing on the news of a BL sighting that they staged. Just a random thought.

Trying again. I don't know if this has been posted already. In this Daily Mail interview with Dennis Davis at 16:00, he talks about how the person he thinks was BL had on a shirt with the sleeves cut off, and that it was a dark color.

Compare to this sighting of someone looking like BL, darting in and out of the bushes, in Peach Tree City, GA. He is wearing a black shirt with cut off sleeves or something similar. Brian Laundrie ‘Lookalike’ Spotted Outside Atlanta, Georgia — Placing Him On Track To The Appalachian Trail

Take a moment, close your eyes and envision Gabby lying dead and BL rifling through her purse looking for cash and credit cards.
Take a moment, close your eyes and envision Gabby lying dead and BL hitchhiking back to the van, sticking her key in the ignition, taking off and leaving her to decompose out in the open.
THAT is the kind of mind we're dealing with.
All of the media reports are starting to bury the lead. There's a possible murderer out and about. One who can keep it cool, play with little boys and wolf down smores while the autopsied, deteriorated remains of the love of his life lie in a morgue. He's not in the Laundrie homestead's attic, so he's among us. That sobering thought should sharpen the focus of our collective vision.
Dates, times, speculation, lies, truths are for a later time.
This guy is on the road.

Powerful, chilling, and now, thank you, @TheGardener, unforgettable.

Just thinking...BL was home for the week of 17th to 23rd aug. with the claim that he went to obtain items fro storage and move storage items to parents home. During that time, he likely would have been driving the mustang to do other things (truck used for moving) but since LE has had gps info from the Mustang, I wonder if there were trips in the mustang to the reserve between the 17 and 23rd. Could he have possibly gotten rid of electronic stuff or something else in the swamp, that makes LE think something is there to be found? No idea what that might be, but they may know that the mustang made a trip or trips there at that time. Otherwise, what on earth is the intelligence they seem so sure of about the reserve? As I said, just thinking.............jmo

I’ve thought of posting this for a while and feel it’s not worth the conversation because, it’s so out there, and so likely not the case (right?). But at this point I just want to say it because I am fumbling for anything. 2 totally unrelated and opposite and both very “crazy” ideas…..

Could the search in the reserve be for evidence of a crime that’s unrelated to this one? Like, a previous, serious crime by Brian that they found out about through this. What if he had actually committed a murder previously, or since his return. Crazy, I know. But what if they’re spending ALL this money and manpower and dangerous searching in the Reserve is not just because it’s a federal case due to operating across state lines but because they have reason to believe he’s a serial killer? They’d have to release that information to the public though, wouldn't they? Or would they not want to cause panic because they don’t know where he is?

(Don’t laugh at me)

Alternatively, and on the complete opposite spectrum

Does anyone else still hold out the possibility that Brian is not guilty of Gabby’s homicide? And that all of our speculations (see above *eye roll at myself*) are actually really off base? But then why would they have so much manpower and money out on the hunt.
Why hasn't Brian been charged with murder? I've read all the speculations, but none really answers the question. There is no logical reason, I can see, why he hasn't been formally charged with killing GP. I can think of reasons why they haven't, but considering what's transpired, they don't make sense either. FBI must be convinced he did murder her or they wouldn't be on this huge, expensive, vast, and time consuming man hunt. Not for credit card fraud!! I just don't understand why he hasn't been charged with the crime.

Someone else in a prior thread speculated about this as well. Quite possible.

Brian Laundrie's sister urges him to 'come forward' amid nationwide search

Cassie Laundrie told ABC News that she does not know where her brother is and if she did, she would "turn him in." She said the last time she saw or heard from him was on Sept. 6, when their family went to Fort De Soto Park in Florida's Pinellas County.

"We just went for a couple of hours and we ate dinner and had s'mores around the campfire and left, and there was nothing peculiar about it," she said. "There was no feeling of grand goodbye. There was no nothing."

"I'm frustrated that, in hindsight, I didn't pick up on anything," she added. "It was jut a regular visit."

"I worry about him. I hope he's OK, and then I'm angry and I don't know what to think," she said. "I hope my brother is alive because I want answers just as much as everybody else."

She said she has been cooperating with authorities "since day one," and she called on her parents to do the same.

"I don't know if my parents are involved," she said. "I think if they are, then they should come clean."

It's a strong statement to make. These are her parents and her immediate response would normally be "of course not". To say "I don't know" implies she believes they are involved but just can't face that fact yet.
