Honestly I get the feeling he did go to the scene. They showed him where they found her. And they showed him photos of her sweatshirt or the sweatshirt itself.
He did go to the scene. He laid the cross. He just did not go to the scene with her body there. MOO (and pretty darn confident in it). Rather, he went after it was "cleared." MOO

Edit: Think about it. Have you ever seen a crime scene where the cops say come in please and identify your loved one for us? It would never happen IMO.

I think that's what Gabby told her mother because that's what BL told Gabby. Gabby may or may not have known if that was true, but she repeated it. Also, the sister said that it was a storage LOCKER, which is much smaller than a "UNIT". Odd that lawyer has no clue where said locker is/was, since Dad supposedly helped BL for 6 days moving stuff....................jmo

it took 6 days to move stuff out of a storage locker?

So he flies home. Wish he would’ve stayed there.
He flies back to SLC on Aug 23.
4 days later is the last time she’s seen alive (IIRC)
Tragic.

I don’t see Gabby being of “average” weight at all. She looks thin, <modsnip> JMO.
They were both healthy, fit young people.

I don't think the FBI has confirmed or denied. Only NPPD, which is saying they wouldn't have asked anyway, since they're not the lead. Maybe I missed the FBI denial though.
I don't think the FBI will even acknowledge that anything was or wasn't said about any of it. Again, maybe asking him to id pictures of clothing or shoes, possibly, but that would be it.
Of course, I could be totally wrong about all of it.

Small enough to not attract attention of Rangers but big enough to burn evidence? We will find out if this ever gets to trial. MOO.

Idk, but my thought is that it was an existing campsite. It seems really unlikely to me that no one ever camped in the location before. jmo

If estimates of her height and weight (I *think* on LE publications) of 5'5" and 110 are around accurate, she would gave been slightly below "healthy" weight (per whatever org (AMA) establishes these things in the US) and quite a lot below "average.". He, at publicized estimated height of 5'8" and 150 would fall in the "healthy weight band. (Not that it really matters...both of then we're basically lean and seemed fit).

How Much Does the Average Woman Weigh? ("The average American woman 20 years old and up weighs 170.6 poundsTrusted Source and stands at 63.7 inches (almost 5 feet, 4 inches) tall."; also has some other stats.)

Height Weight Chart: Ideal Weight for Men and Women (2020)

What Is My BMI?

Average Weight for American Women by Age
Age Group Average Weight
20–39 167.6 pounds
40–59 176.4 pounds
60 and up 166.5 pounds

What is the Average Weight for Women?
Wow, that seems to be very overweight! Yikes! Jmo.
( I mean the chart)

Agree. If you're car camping, you're not generally going to want to walk 5 minutes to your tent, since all your stuff is in the car. No way I'd schlepp stuff for 5 minutes if I'm car camping.
Guess it depends on definition of car camping. In my early 20's we went "car" camping and hiked easily 1 hr to where we eventually camped.

true, but my theory ever since the Culter Bay tiktok witness is that they went away from there van to set up a Instagram photo shoot in a beautiful location at sunset. Instagram photos have a reputation for not really being a true reflection of the event its documenting. So they set up the tent, built a fire ring and got down to the business of looking like YouTube traveloguers. They may or may not have been intending to sleep in the tent before things went tragically wrong.

I think we are talking at cross purposes. Saying the same thing but not realizing it.

*snipped*
'The Daily Mail reported back in September that Laundrie left Petito at the Fairfield Inn in Salt Lake City so he could fly back to Florida “to help his father empty out a storage unit where he and Gabby had their things.”'

The way this is worded makes me think the storage unit was actually rented by his parents and BL and Gabby put some of their things in there as well while they were away. Maybe his parents no longer wanted to pay for the storage unit. Perhaps it took 6 days to empty it because it had some of his parents stuff in it too. Maybe the Laundries paid for his flight as they needed his help to empty it, not the other way around. Instead if paying for them to have their own storage unit his parents offered to let them store their stuff in their storage shed. As to why they won't give up Gabby's things to her parents, maybe a lot of it was destroyed or discarded by Bryan after his final return home. Or maybe they had broken up during this time and instead of storing Gabby's things at his parent's house he chunked them. I've know of many a hateful dude to have done that to their exes. It's been speculated that maybe the were broken up over this period. I don't think so though. I can't see a girl letting an ex (freshly so) remove her things from storage. This whole case is perplexing!
Seems like the FBI probably figured out the storage thing right away by tracing airline manifests for BL from Utah to Florida. And surely most storage places have security cams. Some places also have attendants or security guards that perhaps witnessed what the Laundries were doing. Yes, it's weird and strange, but I think the truth will come out about that part of the story eventually.

The woman in the van who saw Gabby's van on several nights in that same spot said she was surprised they stayed there because it was not a designated campsite.

On Dr. Phil’s Tuesday show they play video of the location where she was found. Involves a short walk and a creek that has to be crossed.
Yes, I saw that weeks ago from the crime scene photos (the link has been posted a lot). What he did today in the interview is confirm that the creek was crossed. Which was a q I had for weeks. (That's the clip I saw on Banfield) Oh, MOO

I think you mean he was allowed to go there after investigators were finished with the CS. I am not trying to speak for you, so please don't get angry with me! Jmo

She actually looks quite fit and healthy. Beautiful, clear skin and very healthy hair. Eyes are bright and alert. Lots of energy.

Her height and weight are fine. While it's true this is no longer "average" in America <modsnip>. I joined the military in 1985 at 5'8, 108 lbs and passed all health checks and physical tests with flying colors. Most of the other female recruits were around my size as well. We were all just fine. I'm now at 120 lbs, BMI 18.2, and I'm just fine. Gabby looks like she is doing just fine at 18.3.

Imagine, if you will, that you have been traveling for 6+ weeks and you have to fly home for something. Would you fly home on Tuesday, move your stuff Wednesday and then fly right back? Or maybe, would you consider staying a few more days since the flight costs the same either way.

It is a lonley, desolate looking place that he left her. He needs to answer for that. Jmo

I'm not saying it was a designated campsite. Just saying that the place where the van was parked looked like a place that was an obvious and easy spot to park with plenty of room and had been used before for that purpose. In that case, you would expect that any place around there would be a likely site for a campsite. Campers in "dispersed" camp sites are not notorious rule followers imo
