LOL if he doesn’t have much more than a Fanny pack full of stuff like that and his bare feet, he’s not going to survive anywhere but a KOA campground.
Well, it's doable. Cody Lundin teaches survival courses using just these items. And I see signs that BL does follow his theories - but maybe I'm full of it

male body found at scenic overlook in NC. Gabby lived in NC for a bit, any travel logs of them camping/visiting spots in NC? I could see a scenic spot having special meaning in their relationship. Brian might fancy himself a tragic Romeo
Read the whole tweet thread. I'm told it's against the rules to bring any of it here -- other than the MSM tweet you posted. jmo

There was a young college student missing, last seen on a security camera inside a convenience store. A man saw a man forcing a young woman (college student) into her car. The woman was putting up a big fight, but the man eventually got her in her car and drove off. The man who witnessed this went back to the hotel where he and his wife were staying. He said he was going to call the police and his wife told him to stay out of it. Soon after the woman's picture was everywhere and then they found her body. Later, they showed that guy forcing her into her own car as being in the same store at the same time. He had raped her and killed her. The male witness and his wife's choice to stay out of it, well, if they had immediately called the police, it may have helped the case. This female college student was due somewhere and never showed up. So, her absence was immediately noticed. The couple came forward later and his wife apologized to the murdered female students' family about her not wanting her husband to contact the police. I like the "see something, say something" that is making the rounds. This area has anonymous tip lines. Of course, when the husband saw this crime it was not yet active. They were traveling through so I don't know if they were present when it first broke into the news.
Unbelievable, I will never understand this mind set, make the dang phone call

That would be one more way to control her, insist on having access to her money. He had already taken over her van, denigrated her work, and decided how much "time he would give her" to work that day in Moab. He was trying to cut her off at the knees every which way he possibly could, to keep her at his mediocre level.

IMO
Maybe he just wanted to be done with her and she wouldn't let him go. We really don't know. They were stuck together to deal with each other 24/7 and it was ruining whatever happy life they had had together previously. They just didn't know how to let it go and he wound up killing her rather than doing the reasonable thing and just leaving. I'm sure that one of her Dads would have been willing to fly out there and drive her back to New York. Sad turn of affairs, as they go, but no one winds up dead. jmo

Gabby Petito: Brian Laundie's parents' story has a lot of 'oddness'

"We've said from the beginning there's a lot of oddness here, a lot of things that just didn't make sense," North Port Police spokesperson Josh Taylor said.

"I mean your son walks out there, now they're saying on a Monday, you know, to report that on a Friday, and then be confused on what day that was. I mean there are a lot of things that are odd there."

Laundrie's parents changed their story about what day Laundrie left their home, admitting that he vanished a day earlier than they previously told police.

b. and assuming he’d be subsisting on very meager and simple food,

then his parents could send him online funds by burner phone, to an account hidden by a VPN, indefinitely.

No offense to your idea but BLs' parents don't seem that slick if you ask me. JMO.

Would you just stand by while your van and all your belongings were being carjacked right under your nose? I'd have grabbed me a 2x4 and let him have it.
It sounds like there was a lot leading up to the fight that may indicate why he locked the car doors leaving her on the outside. I may have missed the part where BL was attempting to carjack the van, as I was of the understanding he was trying to distance them from each other because of the physical interactions and the fact that their public fighting was drawing attention. He seemed to have been sensitive to having everyone witness their very public fight. Not sure he would decide to carjack the van with everyone's eyes on him.

@SuperTmo, do we know if it was Gabby or BL who edited the video content and created the youtube video? It looks like someone else took her recent Instagram photos, then she posted the pics.

I would assume it was her. He perhaps took photos and videos, or she used a camera with a remote and took them herself, but I believe she was the one editing the videos and creating the content, since that is what is needed to make their vlog work, and that is what he told her she couldn’t do.

Yes, but to do what Gabby was hoping to do, have a great channel and social media presence that generated revenue, she needed to be doing this sort of content creation multiple days per week, every week. Him needing to leave so she could finally get one video made after how long on the trip?? I’d say if that is what happened, they should have just realized this wasn’t going to work and go home. Being successful on the internet takes a lot of work.[/QUOTE

Another consideration in regards to postings videos…why not save all your content and piece it all together once your trip was over? Sure, editing could be worked on during down time. But to “complete” a YT video halfway through the trip just seems odd to me. Why submit a video when your trip isn’t even completed? Sad ending to her video.

Or refilling his prepaid credit card.

I think to do that you have to use an actual bank account or credit card, not something they can do with another visa gift card. So I think there would be a record.

Hey guys, this case is truly the the craziest one I've ever followed on WS. I wonder why the search in the reserve was scaled back right after BL's father went into the reserve to help LE search for BL. I also wonder, if BL actually did fly home how/when did he get back to the hotel where Gabby was?

Possibly not, unless desperation would make them think of that solution.

I'm not saying it was planned. Rather i think there was something about that week that led to the events that spiraled out of control. MOO. I don't know what it was but I feel like it was the beginning of something. YMMV
I agree. I wonder if he flew home because they had been arguing and fighting, and he was angry---considered leaving the trip---leaving her alone to drive home because he knew how terrified she was?
Maybe his parents convinced him to help her return and so he flew back to do that. By then she was probably very upset, so things just went downhill fast. He wanted her to be 'grateful' that he returned---but she was angry and told him so?

I wonder that too, but there has to be a record of the flights. I don't trust much of what the lawyer says, but he knows better than we do that the flights are documented or not. Saying that BL flew out of SLC and flew back to SLC from FL on the 17th and 23rd respectively is something investigators know to be true or false. JMO

1st report to police: 911 call saying man was slapping and hitting woman. Why would a man try to steal her phone, closing the door so the owner (Gabby) of the vehicle could not get in. He could have distanced himself by giving her her keys and her phone, and van, and walking away to buy one of his own instead of trying to control every facet of her life.

You really think he was trying to avoid a public scene by hitting and slapping her in such a public way that a complete stranger saw him doing that and called the police? Yes, he was trying to get away with her van, he hung a little pack out in back so she would have one little part of her own rig. Then once she forced her way into her van, he drove away 3 times over the speed limit, driving recklessly to further show her who was boss of the assets she had purchased, her time, her project. No way will I ever make light of what he did to her that day, and IMO what he did to her to take her life in the campground.

I wonder too. From the day of his return to Utah until he showed up in Florida, do we know anything that is confirmed?
