My banking as well as credit cards is all online, not by mail.

And I'm betting GP's credit/debit card was also in the name of one of her parents and that's how they detected BL's theft so quickly. Most 20-21 yo have no credit history and that's an easy way to build credit while having a parent serve as a financial safety net. JMO
I opened my bank account (BofA) online, don’t get paper statements in the mail, and do most of my banking online, but I still had to attach an address to the account. Earlier this year, I needed a printout of my statement at the DMV as part of documentation to upgrade to a REAL ID.
If GP had that and a W-2 she’d be able to establish residency.
Still wondering when JP moved to Vero Beach.
MOO

Is this information supported anywhere else?

Cryptic last texts sent from Gabby Petito's phone to her mom, as cops search her hard drive | Daily Mail Online

While this text was not a typical message for Petito, investigators do believe she sent the Aug. 27 text.

However, they do believe the text sent from her phone on Aug. 30 was not actually written by Petito.
Wow, do we know what time the text was sent? Bc for investigators to say this, if they did, and if it wasn't just some analysts, leads me to believe that they have actually determined a window for her TIME of death (and this would be a very encouraging sign that they got a lot from the autopsy and crime scene investigation).

This little line, if accurate, could be extremely meaningful. MOO

Is it possible that the FBI would have the coroner schedule a press conference to try to draw BL out in some way? If BL is still alive, would this be the type of thing that he might pay attention to? Do fugitives tend to follow what's going on with the case? And what are the ways they've been known to do that? Is it significant (from the standpoint of possible FBI surveillance) that they are doing it on Zoom and not in person? (I know this is far-fetched, but just started wondering....)

There are so many posts its hard to go through them all so I am not sure if this has been asked and/or suggested? I have read many places, that it was confirmed Brian went camping at Fort De Soto with his parents, Sept 6-8. Did anyone actually see Brian at his family home after that camping trip? Is it possible that he may have slipped away from the camping trip, walked or hiked until he got to a remote road or something and got picked up by someone? Brian and his parents could have planned it all. Or that he left the camping spot and walked to another wooded area, or nature preserve?

I thought LE stated just recently they did not have BL or GP phones? Perhaps that’s the reason BL got a burner phone? So his called and texts couldn’t be traced?
Ohhh but they will...and they are...

That is the beauty of search warrants.

Will BL reappear after the COD is announced?
Maybe it's a strategic release. I just can't find it in me to believe that BL has managed to just completely stump the FBI and numerous other agencies.
Maybe once the world knows what he did to her, BL’s parents will cave. Just when they thought things can’t get worse for them- it just might. Imo, jmo, etc.

This gives me consolation...On Sept. 20, FBI agents hauled carloads of evidence from the Laundrie home.
Agreed! I think the FBI has tons of evidence we haven't heard about or thought about yet. This case is anything but cold, for sure. And tomorrow will be insane!

What happened to Gabby Petito? | WFLA

Interesting bit I didn't realize until today, FBI didn't actually get BL's phone until 9/29 according to WFLA, which ironically is the same day SB confirmed he bought the phone on 9/4.

This just reaffirms my belief that SB only gives dates that can or will be later confirmed. It also confirms that the Laundries are not volunteering information to LE, but they're not withholding it if confronted with it.

Just as a point of reference, 9/30 was the second FBI raid. Think that came from whatever they found in the phone?

With the release of the COD will BL emerge from his "disappearance" and claim he had no means of communication, because he was off-grid, wanted to clear his head, and was hoping Gabby would come home and apologize for going off with another guy?
Or...I went off to pick berries. When I came back she was dead.
What do you think his story might be?

EXACTLY! Eventually we will know, lol. It will all come out in the laundry. jmo

But then what about it saying the 30th text was not written by Petito?

I'm just wondering how accurate this reporting is.

If accurate, they may know time of death - very good indeed. MOO

Yeah, I’m wondering if we’re going to see a change in Brian’s status to POI to prime suspect. On top of his fugitive status, of course.
I don’t think the Zoom means much, other than not having the press there in person makes things logistically easier for the coroner’s office. MOO

We all have been drooling to find out when this text was sent.

He had to know that there is a record of G's phone, whether he crunched it or not doesn't he? But maybe he had a burner phone for the trip home? Or just to talk to his parents? jmo
He had his phone. MOO.

Agreed!
And the backpedaling of the 14th to 13th by Laundries is going to come into play.

I wonder how BL explained his need for a new phone to his parents.
With the wealth of unusual happenings, it seems his missing phone would/should have added to their suspicions of what the heck was actually going on.
Or maybe they knew destroying the phone would buy BL more run time. Warrants for phone data delay things quite a bit imo.

Maybe they did tell their son to get the **** out of their house. We don't know what was said between them. And I keep saying this, because I think it is critical: At the time BL left, Monday the 13th, BL had not been named a POI, nor charged with any crime.

Now what they did NOT do was return the Petitos' frantic phone calls, nor encourage their son to turn himself in, nor express their condolences to the Petito family once GP's body was discovered. And they didn't report BL missing for four days. So they have a lot to account for, IMHO, and I am certainly not going to condone any of it. I'm just saying, maybe they were in deep denial and truly did not believe their son capable of either the credit card fraud or, potentially, a homicide. JMHO
