Not even assuming GP would. In fact, I would assume that even if BL had stopped or let go of her throat, GP still probably would not have charged him.

IMHO the bodycam footage indicates that GP was an extremely passive person who was unlikely to blame BL for anything which is common in DV.

As someone who has experienced DV I agree, it's very under reported. Where I live, as soon as LE are involved, the option to press charges is out of the hands of the victim. The only way out at that point is if the victim says they were lying which can in turn, result in charges against the DV victim.

BL must have been quite vicious and done quite a bit of damage. Maybe the kind where he had no choice but to continue pressing on her? Either that or risk GP charging him with attempted murder.

it might have gone quickly. this says could take as little as 60 seconds:

Signs of Strangulation | Critical Analysis RN Consulting

ugly. let us hope that GP was quickly unconscious.

Been on the road all day and this is my first opportunity to post.

Strangulation is done with intent. Period. You can stop strangling someone if you chose. Someone chose not to stop.

Someone watched Gabby die. That person choked the life out of her. They wanted it to happen. It’s what they wanted to happen.

This was not an accident.

This person needs to be found alive.

This person needs to be held accountable.

If anyone has been aiding and abetting the person responsible, well….they need to be held accountable too.

Enough of the lies and subterfuge.

Thank you! I have been trying to get my head around this.
Could not figure out how her body could have lain there for 3 to 4 weeks undiscovered.
Now, I wonder if there was some access from the other side of the creek?
MOO.

BBM
Here's a zoomed out Google Earth SS of the area.
*Note North is on the bottom of this SS.
The closest road to Gabby's body, other than Forrest Road (Gabby's van) would be Eynon - Spread Creed Road.

Imo, it's blatantly obvious the closest road access to where her body was found is right smack dab where Gabby's van was parked on 8/27.

We might want to be careful about the picture of BL with his nephews. There's a possibility that the photos people are poring over are NOT from the latest De Soto trip. Apparently on the exclusive clip it says that one picture was provided by CL of that crucial trip. The one where he has the red T-Shirt tied around his head like a bandanna. He has on black shorts. This matches with that other De Soto photo from a different camping family that is making the rounds, with BL possibly in the background wearing similar attire of matching colours.

The two pictures with BL in flowered shorts and white T-shirt may possibly from a previous outing. And therefore would not be relevant to the case. Don't forget that CL said they were there for only a couple of hours. Why would he change both shorts AND top?

I think at this point anyone in the L's camp can't be trusted to tell the truth. However, I can't see any family members, besides the parents, willing to lie for BL. The COD being announced will let a lot of people who may have been fed a lot of b.s. about the situation realize that it was violent and inexcusable and not an accident. Finding out they were lied to and how her death was indeed violent and horrific, maybe they will sing like canaries to LE. We can hope. IMO.

Interesting that the coroner wouldn't elaborate on manual strangulation when his own filed record says "manual strangulation/throttling." (attack or kill by strangling/choking). I doubt he forget that the public would see this.

Could have been an oversight that the public could get access? CNN was the first to report it and describes it as a written docket filed with the Teton County Clerk of District Court

Do you have a link to the photo of him with the bandana and black shorts, please?

I think I've only seen the one of him in a white t-shirt and baseball cap with his two nephews.

I can't really see much on his knee, or maybe it's perhaps a shadow where the muscle is, but on his right arm there does seem to be two distinct finger marks on the upper forearm.

In a way the marks are similar to the ones people reported seeing on Gabby's arm when she was sat in the back of the police car at the Moab traffic stop.

As if someone had maybe grabbed his arm and where two fingers/finger tips were it left bruises.

To me he just looks dirty, like he has large dirt smudges from working to set up a camp sight or whatever. Also, this doesn’t seem like a current photo of him to me. He looks younger and …healthier.

He wasn’t in federal prison. The Fed carries out executions fairly quickly.
Also, Charles Manson’s death sentence was commuted to life in prison years before he died.

Correct. It's not a statement at all... thus not dishonest. You can feel that their refusal to speak is immoral, but it is neither illegal, nor dishonest.
What would you call the altered date of his last sighting by his parents?
Just last week.
When an extensive search party had based their decisions and tactics on a report of a person with a 3 day head start?
Not 4.

Everyone is also focusing on the red bandana from that picture on the rocks by the water. Does anyone else see he’s wearing gloves?
I missed this photo?

I’m very curious how the coroner’s office would know right away that her manner of death was homicide before an autopsy was done if it was strangulation and not something more obvious like gunshot, knife, or blunt force trauma. Would her neck be obviously bruised over 3wks later when she was found?

definitely not stating I don’t believe them. I’m just surprised that they were so sure in the beginning on manner of death and am curious how much they could tell about it without an autopsy yet. Normally they don’t come right out and immediately give manner of death.

Dr. Blue was asked the question 2 times and both times he refused to answer how she was strangled. So manual strangulation should be off the table for discussion.

Here is the link to press conference w/Dr. Blue

That’s his signed and stamped report, I merely quoted what he wrote, manual strangulation/throttling

I'm quoting Dr. Blue at the press conference. I am thinking I missed where the autopsy report was released.

The autopsy report has not been released. It is a Coroner's statement that has been released, on Coronial letterhead, stating the cause and manner of death.

An actual autopsy report is much more detailed.

" 'LONER' ON THE RUN
Brian Laundrie was a ‘chubby social outcast’ at school, says friend

BRIAN Laundrie was a "heavier set social outcast” when he was at school, according to a long-time friend.

Laundrie's pal exclusively told The Sun that Gabby Petito's on-the-run fiancé was nearly 40 pounds heavier when he was 14-years-old.

The friend said Laundrie was a private person that was never into social media or photos until he started his van travels with Gabby.

"These last two years were the most public and open he has ever been. He's a pretty disconnected off the grid type of guy, not the 'selfie' type."

“He's the type of person that would be able to drop everything to secure his means of not being captured and to evade arrest or evade prosecution from what seems to be a pending crime.”

The friend revealed Laundrie had “zero friends” in middle school and would sit at the lunch table with two other people.

The pair were friendly at that time but didn’t become friends until high school.

“Brian was very quiet in school. He was a bit of an outcast when he was younger. He was just so to himself.”

He added: “Brian cut his hair and lost weight in high school.”

The friend had been to Laundrie's residence in Bayport, New York, multiple times and visited the Florida home once.

'INTERESTED IN GUNS'
Within the friend group, a common interest is guns but he finds it eerie that Laundrie had been keen on moving to Florida since high school.

"A lot of my friends have guns and stuff,” the friend said.

“The gun laws in Florida were a lot less restrictive than New York so it was interesting for him to move to another state that allowed that.”

SOCIAL OUTCAST
Laundrie's friend group consists of four close members. The friend has a gut-feeling that Laundrie will reach out to him looking for help and it “freaks him out.”

“The reason it would be me is his other very close friends were also very close with Gabby but I was just very close with him,” the friend said.

“He might think I wouldn't hold some stigma or I wouldn't care about the matter.

"I get calls from unknown numbers and from blocked callers and my heart drops.

"I just think it's gonna be him on the other side, you never know.""

His friend thought BL moved to Florida because of the gun laws? I’m not following the point?

I understand it is still considered legal. I would expect the defense to find every loophole to allow their non-cooperating clients to go free.

And regarding the big picture of the US justice system, I think it is unjust for the defense to be able to lie when the prosecution can not. I'm paraphrasing Jim Clemente, retired FBI and former prosecutor.

I'm not looking to re-hash "storage gate" but I wanted to check on something and can't remember where I read or heard this. Can anyone remember where it was said that Brian and Gabby were looking to extend their trip?

I think it was SB but I'm not certain.

This is the official Good Morning America video. At about 1:24 the photo of him on the rocks is shown. At about 1:38 the other two photos are shown. I agree, perhaps she's showing photos from another camping trip.

TW-gruesome.

100% agree. This was not a split second decision. Strangulation is up close and personal and you’re literally looking straight into the eyes of the person as they are dying. the person you claimed to love and care for. It takes a lot of rage.

Someone stated that CNN received the autopsy report via FOIA. So they could release more details than what Dr. Blue was willing to say. IMO.
