When some reporter asked SB if BL had a gun with him, SB said "unknown". As for the gun case people claim to have seen, nothing has been clarified about whether it was a gun case or not. jmo

I remember seeing LE going into the Mustang trunk and pulling something out -- there was discussion at the time about if it was a gun case and if so, what kind. I think people also said that it could be a case for a drone. There were also comments about how the LE weren't wearing gloves when they were handling the things they were looking at in the car. I think that LE visit was in the evening. I tried to find that part of the discussion or the video clip, but there are so many threads... and so many posts... maybe somebody else will be able to come up with it

...My family never ever met any of my ex's families. Not sure why that's weird...

Me and my ex owned a house together and my mum never met any of his family either in the four years we were together.

All families are different

MOO
All families are different, & to add to your point, every part of the country here is different on stuff like that. Like for example, in Alabama where I am, I would think it was super strange if the families didn’t know each other. I’m sure there is some, but I can’t think of any of my engaged/married friends off the top of my head that the parents of each person have never met. However, that might very well be a Deep South thing haha.
IIRC, didn’t the L’s know Gabby & the Petitos/Schmidts when Gabby & BL were in high school? Wasn’t there something that came out that they lived really close to each other in New York? I thought I remembered something about that…

One cop is seen searching the trunk of the vehicle as part of their probe into Petito's disappearance

Asked if he believed there were concerns for Laundrie's safety, Taylor said: 'Sure, I think that's fair to say. There is an enormous amount of pressure I'm sure on him to provide answers on what's going on here.'

He could not confirm if Laundrie owns a gun.
Mother Gabby Petito confirms sighting of Gabby's van in Grand Teton days after she was last seen | Daily Mail Online
*this is a photo of the gun case. Trying to track down video I saw which showed entire case.

Thanks for the link to this article though. It contains a bit I remembered reading then:

"North Port Police said the department and the FBI are currently working a multiple missing person investigation.

They issued a description of Laundrie as a' white male, 5'8 160lbs, brown eyes, short brown hair, trimmed facial hair, last seen wearing a hiking bag with a waist strap.' "

BBM This is what I had been wanting to confirm was released. So BL leaves wallet and phone at home, but takes a full size hiking backpack, and the parents assume he is in danger because he left those items yet wait to report him missing 4 days later! If true, the hiking pack is such an important detail to why suicide was not BLs original motive to disappear... Your son takes a multiday pack out but leaves any form of id and tracking, is a POI in a missing person case at the time, you wait to report him missing while insisting through your lawyer that he is still in the reserve... sounds like a runner to me!

Would a kind WS member please post a link if anyone’s live from either scene please (Laundrie house or Carlton Reserve).

Gabby Petito’s family opens up on hunt for Brian Laundrie, believes he’s ‘missing piece’ to puzzle

"Petito's stepfather revealed that the couple’s cross-country road trip took form after their plans for a low-key beach wedding in Florida were postponed due to COVID-19."

And Gabby's mom said they called off their engagement because they decided they were too young to marry. No mention of COVID in her acct that I've seen.

Gabby Petito's mom said she and her fiancé had called off their engagement before going on the cross-country trip where she vanished

My recollection of that video is that there was a gun case, but it was unclear whether the gun case was found in the trunk of the car or if it was brought to be examined from somewhere else and the filming started as they were examining it by the trunk of the car. I think it was one of Brian Entins videos if that helps? But I'm pretty sure we later found out the gun case had been brought from somewhere else and they were examining it by the trunk the of the car, not that it was found in the car.
Why on earth would they bring a gun case to L house? Now that is bizarre. jmo

Dog the Bounty Hunter and John Walsh are getting hammered by the Brian Laundrie family attorney, who says both men are inserting themselves in the Gabby Petito case purely for attention.

Steven Bertolino
represents the Laundries and tells TMZ ... "Dusty relics like that Dog and John Walsh need a tragic situation like this so they can clear the cobwebs off their names and give their publicity hungry egos some food." Brian Laundrie Family Attorney Rips Dog the Bounty Hunter, John Walsh

While I don't necessarily disagree with SB (shocker right there - first time for everything I guess), about these men or their reasoning for inserting themselves in this high profile case, the fact that this is the outlet he is giving this quote to is laughable to me.

HO HO HO.

He IS a fugitive from the law, however............jmo
Yes he is…. But does it take him to go from a bank fraud fugitive to a murder suspect fugitive to get his face plastered all over public places. I just wish the FBI would up the charges. I do truly think he could be in FL and hide easily if he was in the interior of the state. If his name/face is out there it could open up the awareness!

Yeah, same here. My hat is consistently off to those who are willing and able to do this kind of job. I’m not brave at all.

Haha! I actually consider myself brave, but not to alligator's, wild boards, and whatever else is lurking just below the surface. I agree, these men and women (who are actually trained in this work) also have my hat off to them. It's so risky IMO. It's also why Florida is a nice place to visit but not live

I couldn't imagine having something like happening and knowing what my son might have done.

I'd have a serious cry, then make a plan by helping them to surrender. I would never think of making up a plan for my son to run, that is far more dangerous IMO.

Look at how this is all unfolding now, it's a disaster and as a parent if I gave my son this terrible advice I would be regretting it by now. It seems (even though it's probably not true) that the entire United States is looking for him in every nook and cranny. I'd be full of fear for his safety if he's not sitting around all snug as a bug in a rug. JMO
I completely agree with you. It would be terrifying knowing that he could be facing the death penalty. However, the only thing that’s been accomplished at this point is having a jury that is not going to take kindly to this behavior IMO. So, IMO, they’ve actually made it much much worse for him as far as a trial would go. All JMO.

Well, it sort of messes up chain of custody, no matter what it was, if it was brought there from the van or an evidence room......and no gloves, to boot. jmo

I personally don't think he will kill himself - it requires immense courage, and he doesn't personally strike me as someone with a lot. I think when he's finally caught he will limp into the police station, likely in tears.
He proved himself the coward for several days crossing country in someone else's vehicle, using someone else's money, after IMO leaving his fiancee dead in a river drainage. He knew what he had done (IMO), and it's not something he learned after he reached Florida. <modsnip> He's a coward, IMO, he's bunking somewhere that someone arranged for him, where he can slip into his jammies every night and watch youtube videos of the pain and anguish he has caused, seeing that he has finally accomplished something in his sad empty life

IMO

Even if he didn’t murder her, he slapped her around in public, demeaned her work, and left her stranded in Wyoming without her van, and stole her money too. Then he wouldn’t tell her parents where she was. How does all that not inspire contempt? He’s done plenty bad, even without the murder.

Respectfully, the traffic stop in Moab established that GP hit BL.

1) Independent witness/call to the police reported this
2) Gabby said she did this in the video footage
3) Brian said she did this in the video footage

On that basis, and by your logic, I should have contempt for Gabby. I have no contempt for Gabby.

IMO

But he was a missing person before all of the other stuff. JMO
