I hope I could keep in mind that my child may have left someone else's child in a coffin for all of eternity or in Gabby's case an urn full of ashes. The consequences of that would likely be a cage for the rest of his life. Very sad situation, but once someone kills again, they may take someone else's life. I could not live the rest of my life with the knowledge that my own child may have taken another's life, but also that I helped that child flee, leaving the grieving family's life in shambles.
bbm
I want to think that's not the case ... that he's truly on his own fleeing ?

But the longer this goes on with BL being able to find food and shelter -- the more I'm thinking something's up and he has had help ?
The longer he hides the worse it's going to look, for him.
The manner of death is not escapable for the person of interest.
It was deliberate.
He can't say, "We argued, I pushed her and she fell and hit her head...and I panicked and left.".

To hide, feed, clothe, and shelter someone for a month would be a big undertaking.
But for years ?
If it gets to be 2026 and still no Brian, then he has a large network assisting him.
Who would do this for a young man who may have become enraged and killed someone ?
Wouldn't most people say : "You're not involving me in this !"
Unless he's deceased, which I hope not.
BL needs to give answers to the Petito family.

MOO.

Do you have a link stating card was used in Illinois?
I have searching for a link to that for the last 15 minutes and can not find anything so I would appreciate it as well. Jmo

I can't find an approved link stating it was used in IL, I just did a Google search for it.
There is one post in the media thread that says BL may have used at least one card to purchase something at a gasoline station in Benton on August 31, 2021.

Understandably, the FBI has not confirmed that.

Additionally, the link doesn't take me to an actual article.

If someone has a link stating that BL purchased gas in Illinois, I sure would appreciate it.

Because her van was there.

JMO

Until Sept 11 Gabby's family thought both Gabby and Brian were missing. The night of Sept 11 is when they found out that Brian and Gabby's van were at the Laundrie family home but not Gabby

i don't believe there has ever been any MSM or LE confirmation that this happened although it has been speculated on the internet...moo

I believe at least one parent was on GP's account. It helps build their credit. jmo
Richard Stafford told the "Dr. Phil" show on Tuesday: "He ran, he stole her credit card, he used her credit card to get home, and then ran from the police. That's going to show a lot what he was thinking back then."

Authorities previously accused Laundrie of using an "unauthorized" bank card after Petito's death, but did not say that it belonged to Petito.

An arrest warrant, which was issued for Brian Laundrie last month, accused him of spending $1,000 on an "unauthorized" Capitol One debit card in the days following Petito's death.
(old link Brian Laundrie used Gabby Petito's bank card in the days after she was last seen alive, lawyer says)

I think it's possible, if not likely she would have checked with them prior to making large withdrawals of expenditures or bank alerted them or a monthly statement arrived.

Why do you think Gabby’s parents would’ve presumed her and B were at the Laudrie residence at that time?
I think it is because Venice or not, they thought she lived there or they at least knew that Wabasso was her primary residence and Venice was only a short stay. MOO

But...he could find a way to replicate a similar lifestyle. Having Instacart come up to the door, waving "hi" from a distance to a neighbor. No one is saying he's out in the wilderness. He could do what the Mountain Man of Utah (and many others have done) and go start preparing for a cold winter in someone's cabin (in a cluster of cabins). Change his appearance. Get a dog. Or two. No one needs whole towns to cheer them on to be alone in the wilderness. There are all these Mountain Men who aren't criminals who also live alone in the wilderness (moving almost constantly). One of them (McCandless) was a hero of Brian's.

If Brian wants any form of medical care, though, he needs a fake ID. I think his family and their lawyer are not incapable of at least knowing how that works (they don't have to do it themselves - and the lawyer can advise against it while still detailing exactly how to do it if his clients are smart enough to listen and read between the lines).

I have friends who have lived by themselves for 2 years now, occasionally phone call to someone, that's it. Mountain Man of Utah went 7 years alone. For obvious reasons, we don't know which living person holds the world record for this, but hermits are attested to in history (almost all had occasional casual contact with someone). Brian just needs to manage that contact. It could be a kind of game to him. Like Fight Club or something.

McCandless as in Chris McCandless "Into the Wild" was hardly a mountain man, he actually got a pair of boots from the last men to see him alive and dropped Chris off, because he was so ill-prepared equipment and ultimately knowledge wise. Chris was a novice but even he likely had more experience for life in the woods than Brian.

There is absolutely no evidence of this. It's not uncommon for someone of Gabby's age to have their own bank account.

Had the parents been on that account, they presumably would have discovered something was off much quicker than they did.

In the course of investigating Gabby's disappearance, subpoenas would be issued to obtain bank records, phone records, and other data sources.

The most likely scenario is that's what occurred here, and that's how the fraudulent transactions were discovered.

I'm sure there's video.

The accounts were supplied by her mother and made a part of her official missing persons report so the FBI knew to run those accounts IIRC. MOO
