The search has already been scaled back but if the fugitive isn’t immediately found, then cops may have to pull resources from the investigation.

That helicopter may have been a test run from the new campus of Sarasota Memorial Hospital in North Port. It is scheduled to open this month, maybe this week, I believe. Tampa General is one of the few hospitals in the area that does organ transplants so it isn’t unusual to see their chopper in the air.

An upstate New Yorker bearing an uncanny resemblance to Brian Laundrie had a rude awakening when US Marshals on the hunt for the fugitive pulled their guns on him during a nap on the Appalachian Trail.

Ithaca couple Severin Beckwith and Anna Brettmann were catching a few winks at the Lodge at Fontana Village Resort after lunch when they heard a knock and their door flew open, the New Yorker reported.

“Next thing I see is a bunch of guys with riot shields with ‘US Marshals’ written on them, handguns pointed at my face,” Beckwith told the mag.

Kirstie Alley doesn't understand that slab-on-grade homes don't have crawlspaces.

I do agree that DTBH could sabotage the search--but only if the FBI lets him.

I don't think he's in the house but, fwiw, I live in a place where nearly all of the houses are slab on grade with no attic. The small space under the roof is called a crawl space and is accessed through a small square hole in the ceiling, just big enough for a person. I've seen my ac guy get in there.

I wouldn't be surprised if The Sun ( in their link at the weekend where they'd attached the wrong condo photos to the non-specific condo comments from rose davis) had had their Fl based PI check out the property & already knew that its tenant had been living there continuously but published anyway. ( Hence the rabbit-hole on the furnishings & lady in the photo!)

My heart breaks for the Petitos and Schmidts. The sad thing is if she was given the opportunity to ask them face to face what happened to GP, I don’t believe she would receive an honest answer. And that is horrible. <modsnip> BL needs to be found. He is not missing, he is hiding.

I found one on CNN at the weekend, where the anchor had parsed Joe Petito's own comments to make them more clickbaity. ( It's not just The Sun who have to be careful about, it's just that The Sun often takes bigger liberties with the facts)

Some folks have suggested he maybe somewhere he is familiar with. Since he is from Long Island, if he were outside somewhere around there, it was cold last night. Here in the tri state area (NYC) it went down to 39 last night.
