I’m just thinking of reasons why he would take the van home
1) lack of money for airfare
2) Leaving the van there would (eventually when vehicle found), give LE an indication of the last known route. Whether or not GP was in it or not.
3) something specific in the van that he wanted to clean and he wanted to do it where he felt safe.
Any thoughts?

Since he offered that one couple $200 for a ride,he would have had enough money to get a bus would not he?The only reason I can think of is he got mad and ditched her without thnking of all the consequences.

Found this. 11 items saved between September 14th - 17th September. Who’s updating the blog if GB hasn’t been heard from? Very strange!

The site was uploaded to Wayback. Anyone can upload. NBC probably uploaded it before they posted this article. It doesn’t mean there are 11 changes. It was uploaded 11 times. I do it all the time, especially when I’m afraid a site or article will go missing. The Danniella Vian case taught me that! n a video on TikTok published Friday, a user by the name of Miranda Baker said on August 29 she and her boyfriend picked up Brian Laundrie, who she said was hiking alone in Grand Teton National Park at 5:30 p.m.

This alleged incident was four days after Gabby's family last heard from her and three days before Laundrie showed up in Florida alone, driving the van that he and Gabby were traveling in.

Baker recalled the alleged encounter across several videos and said she and her boyfriend had been in contact with authorities before she published the videos.

"He approached us asking for a ride because he needed to go to Jackson and we were going to Jackson that night. So I said, ya know, 'hop in' and he hopped in the back of my Jeep," Baker said. "He offered to pay us like, $200 to give him a ride like 10 miles. So, that was kind of weird."

ive listened to this multible times and it makes no sense to me, this lady says the picked Brian up cause he wanted a ride to Jackson, then later wher they told him they were going to jackson he suddenly wanted back out....and now my head hurts

I was really confused about why he freaked out and wanted out when she mentioned Jackson Hole as opposed to Jackson since they are commonly both used to refer to the same place. But then I had a thought of maybe there is another Jackson, and there is, in Idaho, right near the Snake River, which she also talks about. Maybe that's where he wanted to go?

Interesting. I don't see her say that he actually identified himself or Gabby by name. The source says that "Brian" said Gabby was back at the van, it's not clear though if he actually said "Gabby" or my fiancee. But the lady seems very credible to me.

I observed this, something that interestingly caught my eye. In the incident that happened on August 12th and the picture the police department posted showing they had the van, 3 more stickers were added to the van. The only one I can find online is the life is good in the woods which is sold on a website called Etsy. The today is a great day is Venice Florida. Does anyone know where the desert cosmic one could have came from? Maybe a stop along the way? Just a thought. IMO.

He did not appear to know that Jackson is short for Jackson Hole. When he heard Jackson Hole is when he got agitated.

The owner of Rustic Row said Petito and Laundrie spent about 15 to 20 minutes in the store and came in either on Aug. 25 or 26 in the afternoon.

**Why did they head to Victor, ID when they were so close to the south entrance of Yellowstone NP when they were at Jenny Lake? Also, the hikes on BL's list in All Trails for Yellowstone are all southern Yellowstone locations - like he knew they would enter the part via the South Entrance when he was exploring hikes. Makes me want to go "hmmmmmm?"

Where did he get $200? How was he so clean after hiking/camping for days with just a tarp? Why did he freak out about going to Jackson Hole when that's where he was paying someone $200 to take him there? Why did he go the opposite way of where Gabby was? Why would he leave Gabby in an unregulated campsite for days in the van? How much work could she do on the website without any internet?

The tik tok user version of events seems pretty credible. This puts an important pin on the map and a time.

I think she indicates he meant he was hiking along the snake river to the north toward Yellowstone and there do seem to be some roads that fork off along the river which you seem to be able to get a van down. That is a long hike.

Edited: man, the person they describe sounds geographically challenged. What if he did leave her for days and when he came back she was gone or dead.

Given the time and distance back to Florida is 44 plus hours at a distance of almost 3000 miles, does anyone one else think that maybe his dad might have flown to somewhere along the return route to help get the vehicle back home. Denver is 8 1/2 hours away, St. Louis another 8 1/2. It an ominous drive otherwise.

2) Stray thoughts....

-BL's sister told GMA that she has not been able to talk to BL since he returned. Could BL have voluntarily committed himself to keep himself "out of reach"? Could his parents have had committed him to a MH facility to keep him out of reach?
- Could someone (not GP or BL) have taken a plane from Florida to to "help" BL return home with the van? Perhaps a shared driving/sleeping schedule to allow for a straight-thru trip?

Just some thoughts running through my muddled brain....can't stop thinking about Gabby and her parents.....​
