Is there a reasonable chance that, if she was alive when he left but was incapacitated by injury or lost in the park, she could still be alive 2+ weeks later? I am having trouble finding an outcome where she is somewhere alive. If she is alive, then she would have to be being held somewhere by a dangerous person because of her lack of contact.

I don’t feel good about the timeline of the 25th to the latest 30th of her disappearing, and it now being the 16th. Too much time has passed. But I want to know…are there any other cases where a camper/hiker was injured or lost and able to survive 17+ days in the wilderness?
I suppose you could survive that long, but there would have to be a lot going in your favor. The odds of hypothermia are staggering if you aren’t well-equipped (heck, in that amount of time, even if you’re very well equipped). You’d need water and food. There’s also no sign either member of the couple had backcountry experience…
I would venture to bet whatever nefarious thing happened, took place in the “front country”, not out in the wilderness.

The thing that throws me off with the TikTok girl is the screenshot of the text she sent to her mother… it said the guy they picked up went back to his wife. But in the TikTok’s she made it clear Brian referred to his SO (Gabby) as his fiancé. Her story in general sounds solid so I don’t think she’s lying about picking someone up I’m just not sure I believe that the person was ever Brian.

We are going to see so many people come out of the woodwork. This is typical of high profile cases. MSM will report the sightings and information as fact without verification.

If you believed all the reported sightings in the Caylee Anthony case, she was having a grand time traveling with random adults to amusement parks all over the world. She was dead the entire time.

We need to consider that MSM doesn't always vet their info.

According to this TikToker BL was wanting to go north. From Colter Bay Village? Was that where GP was with the van? I can understand the confusion in the towns as an outsider. I’d not know Jackson and Jackson Hole were often one and the same. It’s a little confusing.

I believe the girl’s story. Seems credible enough. But according to her timeline it took them 39 minutes to drive a little less than 8 miles. Is that typical?

That’s a tight timeline relative to when he made it back to Florida. He would have had just a short amount of time, considering the amount of time needed for the trip, between when the couple dropped him off at the Dam and when he made it to FL. He obviously made it back to the van (and presumably Gabby) somehow. He’d almost immediately need to be on the road to make it back by the 1st.

More questions.

ETA: For him to have offered $200 for a few mile ride, he must have really wanted to get to “Jackson”. Quickly.

If that area has rough terrain and windy roads, it could take that long.

So, he said he needed a ride to Jackson. There's a Jackson Idaho, a Jackson Hole Wyoming and the Jackson dam, where he was dropped off. Yes, that could get confusing. Is it possible that he offered 200 bucks because he meant Jackson Idaho (dunno how far that is)? Didn't someone report seeing them seeing them in Idaho, at the western approach to Yellowstone? Forgive me if I have that screwed up but, I think, that's what I read. I don't know the area up there and haven't familiarized myself by examining maps.

Jackson Hole is the name given to the entire valley and also the ski resort. I'm thinking he meant Jackson, WY. Not Idaho.

This. Some 15 to 20 years ago the city rebranded itself, not wanting to be called Jackson Hole anymore.

What’s the speed limit through there? If part of it was very low that would slow them down a lot.

I know that the speed limit inside both National Parks is 45mph.

What if the true motivation for Brian’s short trip back to Florida was to get them money from his parents so that way they could continue on with the trip with less struggle. I could see her agreeing to being alone for a few days if she knew he was coming back with more money for them. Anyway, maybe he returns but is unable to find her, just the van. He sticks it out for a couple days hoping she’ll return to the van so he keeps checking on it but there’s no sign of her so he ultimately decides to take the van to return home after an ample amount of time. In this case he’d probably feel guilt for leaving her because something happened to her which could explain the shutdown. Probably a far fetched theory but yeah…

I wonder if these two able bodied youngsters might not have gotten jobs for a short time, if they were low on funds? Literally everyone is short of help these days; they didn’t have to stay in the woods-they could have surfaced in some populated area and WORKED to get some money instead of expecting their parents to pony it up. Did these two even consider the possibility that they would have to eat and pay for gasoline?

I looked for the Desert Cosmic one as well and couldn't find anything.
I got one just like it for my son this summer at the gift shop at Mount Rushmore.

My opinion after seeing the recent TikTok videos on BL hitchhiking:

BL and GP were hiking along the river (with no plans to be out for days), and either an accident happened or a fight happened, GP died somehow, BL got turned around started heading along the river *the wrong way* until he found a place he could hitchhike. He probably had blood on himself and washed himself in the river (not the showers where the TikToker picked him up) and thats why he didn't seem dirty. And when he got to his van he started driving home.

I also think the one comment earlier is right-- he didn't want to go to Jackson, Wyoming. He wanted to go to Jackson, Idaho. Thats why he was offering $200, because its a 3 hour drive from where he was picked up. He also needed to get to the van ASAP and get out of there before someone noticed it or reported it and he got in trouble. Thats why he got agitated when he realized he was going in the opposite direction he needed to be going, every minute that their van was there was a risk that someone else would get there before he did.

I don't think he'd risk driving around with her body in the van for any longer than absolutely necessary.

They were on the police's radar already since they were pulled over, so I imagine he didn't want to be caught with her body in the van if police were to recognise the plates and pull the vehicle again if they saw him alone in it.

NOPE. The altercation was in a different state. And it was several days after Gabby was reported missing that the altercation was re-discovered.

Ok. And what does that matter at this point? He left without her in her van. Ok. What does it being hers matter when she’s missing? ...

The significance of it is that it could have been something to hold him on (but it won't, explained later). BL is not speaking. If they were able to get him on car theft they would have at least been able to hold him for a while. Depending on how long that would've have been it could've yielded great rewards for LE. You'd be surprised at just how cooperative someone can become after sitting in jail for awhile.

But, this did not happen and I can only guess that the reason is a very obvious one: she is not present to state he took the car without permission. And, absent this, there is no one to refute he did not have her consent. It also should have been checked at that wellness cop stop. They might have learned a thing or two prompting them to protect her more if they had bothered to check the registration. Basic stuff that they did not do.

If BL left the country before this started going down LE would be able to see that his passport had been used. I don’t know how long it takes to find that but I would think it would be fairly quick. If he stayed in the US it would have been less conspicuous to have someone rent a car and then take off.

Do we know if anyone from the media or public saw him at the house in Florida recently?

They are from Long Island (isn’t that where Gabby met him?) so likely have family or friends in the NYC area. He isn’t a suspect so they would not be at risk of being charged with anything.

I don't believe for a minute the guy was hiking "for days".
Nor that Gabby would agree to be alone in some secluded place in the wilderness.
I don’t think he could survive for days. They couldn’t even maintain their water supply with a vehicle in a civilized area. They were clearly not very experienced outdoorspeople.
