I agree.
NPPD didn't like it that the Ls exercised their rights and hired an attorney.
Josh Taylor's anger was on display over it.

Sheriff Judd is well respected by many and a darn good guy.
That's understandable but not professional.
As a result they didn't take the Ls seriously when they did start to communicate with the FBI.
CL went out to search with the FBI but Myakka was still flooded.
When the Ls told NPPD Tuesday night, according to BS, that they wanted to go search again the LEOs who met them were not even prepared to handle evidence properly.
I think all h**l is breaking loose at NPPD.
They've just lost face yet again over this investigation.

Sheriff Grady Judd of Polk County was critical of NPPD early on.
Here's what he said on 9/30
https://twitter.com/WFLAJB/status/1451221310030454788

Basically he said that if any of this had happened in his jurisdiction he would have handled things differently and BL would never have disappeared on his watch.
Grady Judd is a colorful character.
I can't until he weighs in on this case again!

WFLA stream on standby to start soon! In case anyones interested! :)
Not good conditions to retreated evidence or remains. BL liked being under or near the connective bridge. He was found near there.

dbm

I would have ended it all if I were him. But it was really cruel to not explain to his loved ones why he was choosing to take his own life. He could have left a note to them and then killed himself immediately in their own back yard. They would know, we would know, G's family would know. And ultimately the sad case would be over. jmo

BL does not sound like someone who would have been able to handle a breakup in a mature manner. Assuming he did commit suicide, personally I do not believe he did, the location does not matter if it were not for his trying to stay off the radar.

I wonder if they can assess date of death, as in how many weeks?
It depends upon the condition of the remains and the state of current forensic research on the environmental conditions combined, a combination of everything.
It's not the same as a body lying exposed in a dry field..

rising water in swamps doesn't necessarily mean current. And there remains a lot of grass, trees, and so forth that would prevent something from going particularly far in most cases. It sounds to me like the parents had a good idea where he might go, and they were right.
It is also possible that the information they provided on where he would likely be was not deemed completely credible after initial cursory searches of the flooded area provided no results. JMO.

Mahsa just said that according to SB, Brian Laundrie was reported missing on Sept. 14! Supposedly, he called the FBI to let them know he was missing.

I feel like this changes things.

Does anyone remember a post about LE being called to the address here at the park after the car was gone? Wasn't there some kind of a disturbance call in the evening? If so what was the date and time of said call?

Everything is flying and I lost track... But in the previous thread someone asked why the bag wouldn't have floated away underwater. One reason I thought of is that since it was a backpack, it was attached to the remains. MOO

Thank you for the interesting info. I find it odd that those amazing dogs did not find him as well and that is why I do not think he has been dead the all of this time. Jmo
I completely agree! After hearing Ashleigh Banfield talk about what Pasco County told her about Diesel, I find it hard to believe they wouldn’t have found the remains. JMO. So, I agree. If that’s him, I don’t think he was dead the whole time. JMO.

Now that this case is coming to an end, I have one remaining question:
Did anyone anyone see where I dropped my life off at the beginning of all this? :)

On WFLA Now, they are saying a dry bag and a backpack was found? (This is what happens when I go to watch "You" and step away from here!

I doubt this as one of the officers showed a photo of the backpack to the Laundries on his phone yesterday morning. I would assume if they found the bag attached to the remains, they would not have taken a photo for the Laundries to confirm whether or not it was his to protect them from seeing their son in skeletal form.

Thank you. Can I ask you also, what network is Banfield on? I miss so many interviews etc., because I don't know where they're being aired.
She has a show on NewsNation. It airs live at 9CST (I think) right after NewsNation Prime. They post some full episodes on YouTube & also post a lot of clips there as well. That’s on the NewsNation YouTube channel. :)

We have learned the remains found in the Carlton Reserve were "skeletal remains."
"Bones."
https://twitter.com/brianentin/status/1451239105917067264?s=21
In a temperate climate, it usually requires three weeks to several years for a body to completely decompose into a skeleton, depending on factors such as temperature, humidity, presence of insects, and submergence in a substrate such as water.[3] In tropical climates, skeletonization can occur in weeks, while in tundra areas, skeletonization may take years or may never occur, if subzero temperatures persist.

Yes, that is correct. That was a big question I had yesterday. But yes… CL found the dry bag off the trail. The backpack was found by LE near the remains.
