I do think the manager cleared up the mystery of how did they know GP and BL didn't arrive in their van since their server followed them out of the restaurant.
There is a parking lot nearby at the Jackson Ranch Welcome Center.

I am sorry if I confused anyone or caused a problem. I was just trying to say that the MP manager didn't have to tell BE the same thing she told the FBI, I think she was trying to deflect attention away from the whole situation both away from her and away from MP's. ..I personally do not believe the story she told BE.

The manager had no reason to tell BE something different from what she [presumably] told the FBI. All she had to do is tell BE, "No comment," which is basically what they have been saying to the media up until she said something to BE.

Both stories can be true. One is elaborate, the other is bare-bones. Manager likely saw nothing until they came back for a refund. jmo

I don't remember the exact quote from the earlier story, whether it was walk-in (no reservation) or walked in or whatever but I did have the sense that she was saying they didn't come in their van (like you just said). And thats what I thought was weird; that a busy restaurant would know what you were driving.

I understand what you're saying and you could be right, but why wouldn't she just say "no comment".

I believe BE asked a number of businesses to comment and they all said they didn't want to talk about it.

Whatever the problem was, as far as the restaurant was concerned it was over. They received payment due to them Amen. The big problem was between G& B, and we are no closer to what the catalyst was that inspired him to strangle her to death, apparently, sometime after they had been at the restaurant. There were several hours in between them leaving the restaurant, and Bethune's videoing the van at Spread Creek Campground. No one knows if they went directly back to the campground, or made a stop or two somewhere on the way. But the van was there between 6 and 6:30 that evening. jmo

Ok look I grew up where I live now, I am 2.5 hrs away from Jackson, I have been going there my entire life. It is a really cool place to visit and hang out for the day or multiple days. It is a very upscale community now meaning that its mostly millionaires and billionaires. Most people can't afford to eat there or stay there. Everything is very expensive regardless of where you go. I don't think GP and BL were expecting the prices in this area. My point is Mp's does not want any negative connection to this story..period.. its still a small town and a lot of locals still know each other and many of the people that live there are celebrities...they do not want all this attention...moo

We're still not certain he allegedly killed her on the 27th though. It could have been on the 29th.

She can tell BE anything she wants, and leave out details as long as it somewhat jibes with what she told FBI. They walked out not paying, paid outside, came back in and she asked for her money back. jmo

The Tiktoker can also say anything she wants. We have no way of knowing what is true. I lean towards believing that the Merry Piglets manager is more reliable as a witness.

Her mother received a text from Gabby the 27th and the time and subject of the text she has not divulged. jmo (the one she received on the 30th, she knows is not Gabby texting). We can guess until we are blue in the face, but the texts are important timeline material that we may never know. jmo

Sometimes, the place is so busy that the waitstaff doesn't come around until you're done eating. That could have been what Gabby and Brian experienced.
If the restaurant was very busy, I wonder why more people didn't come forward with a version of the GP and BL story.

Maybe they notified the FBI and preferred not to do it on social media. jmo

Any ideas why BL got weird during the Baker hitchhike ride about going to Jackson Hole?
It was mentioned again on 20/20 tonight. I'm starting to wonder if Jackson Hole, after the restaurant, was not the beginning of Gabby's death and that's why BL didn't want to return to there. MOO

TikToker says she picked up Brian Laundrie hitchhiking in Grand Teton

Without leaving any part of what you owed?

I mean, I usually have some idea what I ordered and am not afraid to go grab a menu from the hostess to calculate, estimate tax, add a couple of bucks - and then leave.

But dining and dashing is bound to get a person into trouble, sooner or later. It's illegal. Attempting to pay when the business is making it difficult is different - and these days, we can just take a photo. Or a video of our troubles.

Agree…. It’s basically the same as shoplifting or stealing from a grocery store … they will def. call the cops if they catch you.

Good points but if they are camping why are they going to restaurants in the first place? That’s not what campers really do. They could have gone to a store and picked up some cheap groceries and cooked over a fire .. or had food that didn’t even need cooking. Did they have a cooler? Camping cooking equipment of any kind? instead they chose a restaurant, which makes me think they were kind of unprepared for a trip like this in a lot of ways. They didn’t even seem to have basic supplies.

MOO
