Gabby Petito update: Utah police chief Bret Edge on leave amid probe into mishandling of case (nypost.com)
Moab City Police Department Chief Bret Edge has taken a leave of absence amid an investigation into the department’s handling of a “domestic dispute” between Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie, a report said.

Edge began the absence Monday under the Family Medical Leave Act, a city spokesperson confirmed to Fox News.

It was not immediately clear how long Edge will be away from his post and who will replace him as interim chief.

Just got my hands on documentation from Pinellas County Parks. The check in report confirms Roberta Laundrie (#BrianLaundrie’s mom) did in fact check into Site 001 @ Ft. DeSoto Park on 9/6 and checked out on 9/8. It does not say who else was with her. @mysuncoast
