Someone related to her family commented on a Facebook post in June. The same person commented on another post yesterday stating that her identity has been confirmed.

Yeah, I just saw that. So hopefully they will announce it soon. I'm just so glad she's been identified!

I read that she was identified back in June, it seems that the press conference is due to happen.

What great news!!! I love seeing these UIDs get their names back.

I'm happy to hear that! We've had so many ID's this past month.

I hope Sheridan County JD is next.

I saw Carl post on FB that she’s been identified. “No other details or news of any scheduled announcement have been provided.

The wait is always hard for us sleuths, but I can’t imagine the family’s wait.

Same! I know someone that works with the genetic matching used to ID and I’ve been tempted to ask if she’d be willing to work on Sheridan County JD, but i don’t think she gets to pick which cases she works.

As a side note, it really bothers me that the fact that Sheridan County Jane Doe was pregnant when she died was only mentioned in one or two sources, and most make no mention of it, so most people don't know.

Oh - okay! Thanks!

I'm hoping they do a press conference soon, I'm so curious to know her name - I think we all are!

I am curious too.

I hope this will give her family the closure they deserve.

Her NAMUS is down.

So glad she is coming home.

WOW! All these identifications these last 4 months have been so overwhelming in the best way. Here's to many more.

They sure have. Not only have they ID'd unidentified remains cases, they've also found long-term missing persons, too, not related to forensic genetic genealogy.

i never thought I’d see the day when I couldn’t keep up with cold case announcements. I’m so behind, but what a great problem to have!

Just in the past ~2 weeks, we've got Tammy Terrell (Arroyo Grande Jane Doe), Meresa Hammonds (Yonkers Jane Doe), Bill Lewis (Jasper County John Doe), Michael Beavers (Fire Island Man), and Bitter Creek Betty! Genetic genealogy is really changing the game for UIDs!

I'm trying to not let myself go crazy awaiting a press conference like I did with Tammy Terrell, but if anyone finds out when/where it is, please post here! :)
