The victim told police that before the incident, he was cleaning his firearm -- which was identified as a shotgun -- and had placed it on his bed, officials said. He then proceeded to sit down on the bed, "at which time one of his dogs jumped onto the bed," causing the weapon to fire a round into the man's lower back, officials said.

MEDFORD, Mass. (WCVB) — Days before Thanksgiving, a homeowner in Massachusetts was forced out of his house after hundreds of gallons of heating oil were mistakenly pumped into his basement.
“They tell me take the clothes, take the medicine and don’t come back until when they’re ready,” Dang Nguyen said.
That’s what police and firefighters told Nguyen after he raced home from work Monday.
He said an oil company dumped 385 gallons of home heating oil into his basement.
Nguyen doesn’t even have an oil tank, Medford Fire Department Deputy Chief Nicholas Davis said.
“I think the guy come into the wrong address,” Nguyen suggested.
