You Know You're Addicted to the Case When:

You get home from work just as the sun is setting and you log in. You check a couple posts, write one, grab a quick snack, catch up on a thread, post a couple replies, read some more, post another one, grab a quick snack, catch up on another thread, go to a fascinating link or two or three, write another reply and yawn. You notice there is still a little bit of sunlight, and think why am I tired it isnt even dark yet. You go grab something to drink when your alarm clock goes off, crud, thats not the sun setting thats the sun coming up time to shower and get ready to go to work.
Oh well, sleep is overrated anyway.

You know you're addicted to the case when your hubby is attempting to get your attention in order to kiss you & wish you a Happy New Year (just after the stroke of midnight) and you are too engrossed in reading a WS thread to be oriented as to time and place :ohoh: I'm sorry honey.... just a little over four more months and you'll have my undivided attention

You know you're addicted when the ball drops and you think "YEP this is Caylee's year" instead of anything else!

....when you schedule appts. for your week and plan your meals according to the docket calendar. :innocent:

And when you want a countdown to the next hearing clock on your desktop!
Or you find yourself watching mindless tv to pass the time and making pics like this...

Oh Boy - you too? "nope - sorry - can't make that Jan. 3/11 meeting - yes, I do understand it's important and they are a big client - but I have an emergency conference call Monday morning at 10:30 (1:30 Orlando, Fl) and really - it might take hours..." :innocent:

I'd call that addicted....:waitasec:

When your hubby suggests getting new phones w/unlimited internet use "so you can check that website you are always on, anytime you want". (we are still in the old school flip phones that text by hitting the button 3 or 4 times depending on what letter you want).

If ya'll decide to upgrade wenwe, first thing you should do when you log into WS is opt to "hide images". It will load sooooo much faster.

Sad that I felt the need to tell you that. :loser:

I just told hubby today that he's in charge of dinner on Monday because I have to be in court at 1:30 and it might take awhile.

(He said he's eating out - early.)

I found out what a loser I am when I realized I kept hitting the refresh button for fear of missing someone's post and realizing I am the only one on the thread ..........forever,lol

Two reasons for me:

1. I have had the last 10 days off work for Christmas Break, and I really want to call off work on Monday.

2. I have scheduled a total knee replacement for May,(3 months off) so I can be guaranteed not to miss any of the trial.

So 12:30 central? I'll have to either call in tomorrow (voice mail) or feign illness around 11am. :innocent::angel:
I'll say I was abducted or something.:ufo:

JB will make listening to him babble and um and er and stutter and stammer every time he gets up to speak so painful, it will take your mind off your knee!
So he wil have done you some good, right?

I spent the afternoon of Christmas Eve day at the vet with one of my furbabies. When I was scheduling the follow-up appt, we agreed on the Monday after New Year's. When the receptionist handed me the card, I noted the date said 1/3 and I said, "Oops! I already have something scheduled for that day!!! It wasn't exactly a lie.... :liar:

Another thing.... my husband and I just moved back to Florida right before Christmas and we are either going to build a house or, if I find what I'm looking for, buy one already built. I have been trying to figure out how I can work this whole thing so that whatever we do, I won't be moving during the time of the trial. I just KNEW it would work out for me this way..... :pullhair:

When I started scheduling my whole life around hearings, doc dumps, the trial date, etc..... I KNEW I was addicted. :)

Welcome back! You all didn't bring all that cold weather with you, did you? :)

Thank you!! So very glad to be back in Florida with all our family!!

Apparently, I left some of the cold weather in Atlanta, as they had a white Christmas this year.... and I missed it :(

If that knee replacement isn't necessary - you win !!

Me too!!!

OOH I'm jealous! I was out of work for the OJ trial. (Hysterectomy) I just went back to work after almost 2 years of unemployment. I plan to upgrade cable by May so I won't have to miss any, and I can record it everyday.

I emailed WFTV to find out why I was no longer able to get their live feeds, only to finally figure out my workplace had blocked streaming media. Which they probably did because they noticed one particular employee often having Florida news on in PA.
