If you have a newer car that feeds bluetooth, you can connect your phone to http://www.newschannel5.com/watch-5plus-live and listen to the live feed and commentary while travelling. That's how I do it.

Before I had a newer car, I would hook my phone up to one of those little speakers through blue tooth to hear more clearly while livestreaming from my smart phone.

HTH

Another option would be that WKRN has an APP. I saw on their website that you can stream the trial through their APP.

another thing I find odd is if Adams had two people already with him and her body why did he need Autry to help him, surely the 3 could have disposed of the body, and whilst they were supposedly driving round with her body in the truck hadn't the search and investigation begun, so LE would have been in the area surely

this station is doing review, in addition to having call in Q&A and comments during lunch break.

I've not kept up on this case.

Did Shayne *really* commit suicide? Or was his death questionable? After this testimony it makes one wonder.

I've been skeptical since day one on Shayne's "suicide".

:seeya:

BBM: I totally agree ...

 Now WHY would a "home boy" - who was given an "immunity deal" (which deal was later revoked) -- take off to Florida, and a short time later, kill himself? JMO but it makes no sense at all.

 Was it not suicide ?

 Was this all "staged" and he was really in protective custody ?

JMO but IF Shayne does NOT walk through that courtroom, I'm throwing out "suicide."

:moo:

They just referred to it on Channel five. He was found hanging in a hotel room.

From what I understand (anyone feel free to correct me) was originally Dylan was going to testify for immunity and cooperate with the state. But then he changed course and is going to plead the 5th instead. So the state wasn't going to be able to depend on his testimony to convict Zach and Autry was the main one they have left.

I think Dylan chickened out because he knows ZA has contacts in prison and he was afraid if he testified against him his brother would have someone kill him just like he threatened he do if he didnt keep his mouth shut.

I bet Emi went over to Sierra's thread - Garcia-Torres is getting sentenced today and she does tweets for the case.

Thanks all for the updates and links!

I actually believe this guy. Not really sure if he participated in raping, etc. but he did help dispose of her body. I'm guessing it's like - you're the driver of a robbery and get charged with everything everyone else did. :dunno:

Shout of thanks to dog.gone.cute and others who are posting specifically for folks on phones who cannot view imbedded tweets !

I think he did commit suicide and he knew the state was trying to have his immunity deal voided and probably would have at some point in time. He knew if that happened he would be arrested and charged like the other A-train gang.

I'm confused why Autry is charged with kidnap and rape if his testimony today is that he was involved in the disposal only? Can someone clarify if I am missing something?

OT: No wonder I am in constant pain all of the time. I have two fractures to my spine in the T-7-8 ...as if I needed anymore problems with my spine. :( Ugh. They are going to do a procedure where the doctor inserts a large needle into the fractured areas and, fills them with glue that is suppose to last a lifetime

Oh good heavens!! Yikes and OUCH!! Hope you feel better!

This trial reminds me of the movie Deliverance, as to how dysfunctional life can be. The outrageous things that go on in some parts of the country that seem so acceptable to people around them.

I believe certain parts of Jason's testimony is true. Leaving out parts that expose his involvement. An example that I don't believe he went anywhere to watch birds that morning. I believe he "hit that" as well as others that morning with Holly.

JMO

Yes, I probably agree with that. The parts that Autry is telling...to me, does sound like it went down the way he said. But what he is leaving out about his morning....agreed.

I'm still caught up with cell phone pings.

Can't someone at some point bring cell phone locations as a verification of the truth or not?

The problem likely stands with potentially you bring in one location "truth" to verify and then the defense says..."ok, open market on cell phone locations.....let's poke holes in the credibility of Autry and timeline by bringing out all the location pings and they won't have a case because someone is lying on some point, no matter who you ask."

I just think you could clear up location real quick. We are all trackable!! Still surprised texts or something haven't brought into this yet.

But then we might be into a 4 month trial.

Now THAT would make for a great trial. I don't care what happens after that, if a "dead man" walks up and takes the stand- GTHO of here- you're done son!

Trying to catch up, of course I missed the long awaited testimony of JA... UGH! When lots of details are given, I become skeptical, but I'm not on this jury. We'll see how he does on cross. I do not like immunity deals when the person is guilty of a serious crime...

After listening to as much of the testimony as I could (shockingly, my job actually expects me to work through this), it sounds to me like they took her to Shayne Austin's house and that's where everything happened. Rebecca Earp was at ZA's house that night, after poor Holly was abducted that morning and saw nothing unusual. They found things at the end of SA's driveway and outside his house, including that receipt with her name on it. They took her from SA's house to dispose of her, and SA was hurrying them up because a tech was supposed to come work on the satellite. Is that what you all are getting from this too?

Yeah, I am finding him pretty credible too. It seems all of these co-defendants who testify in cases like this are horrible people themselves. Who else would hang around ZA but people like JA and the others though. They were all connected by drugs whether selling or their addiction.

Ohhhh, they just said that Dr. Vass from Tennessee body farm may be testifying.

Shout out for those that remember him from the FCA case (I was a Yuri gal, but there were many swooning over Vass :giggle: )

I luv, luv, luv Vass. I had read Body Farm was testifying. I had hoped it would be him.

Sorry to post on top of myself, *IF* he wasn't in fact there already, I could only guess b/c he's a bigger guy (in sheer size) and maybe just one of the ones they knew who would always be down for anything, good for bad. PURE speculation on my part but IF it went down like he said, that would be one of my guesses as to why.

I also believe his "deal" goes so far as LWOP instead of the death penalty. Even if Prosecutors drop rape and other charges against him just the involvement he has described thus far will get him that.

JMO

I believe he raped her as well. But according to his testimony he called ZA between 8 and 9 and was asked to help him bury the body right? She was abducted around 7:30. That's not a very long time for all this stuff to go down.

I believe him too. His story flows pretty well for one where a lot has been left out. And I do believe he has left a lot out.

Could be the manner of questioning but I think even in his answers he has glossed over some things to make it look like he is less involved. Seriously, he had an urge to get away from Zach after the shooting but prior to that was all too willing to help dispose of a body just for the asking? Who is willing to do such a thing on the spur of the moment, no questions asked? Maybe there was a promise of some drugs for Autry which helped him decide but seems to me if that were the case, he would have been glad to let the jury know that. It might explain why he asked how high the second Adams said JUMP.

Sorry for rambling. I do believe his testimony but am not convinced he hasn't lied by omission. That's just how it looks to me.

Yes back to the phones and timing again, couldn't we actually verify cell phone times/calls etc...??

This just seems like evidence 101 to me. But again, they could probably use that against themselves too.
